House of Golf doesn’t necessarily do much to stand out as a must-own golfing title on the Switch, but it does have enough content to make it worth grabbing if you’re ever in need of a satisfyingly calm game.

A mini golf arcade game, you play in your everyday home. Over 130+ levels of improvised mini golf courses and simple controls, make this a fun but entirely basic, arcade experience. At least it has multiplayer, so... Hurray?

Visually, the game looks pretty nice for the most part, and runs really well. It’s hardly the most detailed of games, and indeed some of the textures are pretty poor, but the environments are very well stylised, and the objects within the levels are mostly the correct size and proportions. There’s a charm to the visuals that harks back to more retro titles (you can’t deny the similarities to Micro Machines), and it will no doubt appeal to both mature and younger gamers alike.

I bought the game and gave it a go enjoyed it the only thing and trust me its not technically or visually perfect is the games viewpoint sometimes you cant see where the best spot to take a shot is trial and error learning curve,,,,,yeah maybe but its a minor moan a minor gripe overall its cheap well thought out and has some fun areas a worth a buy ( ive uploaded footage on Klingon gamer YT )

Unfortunately this game isn't very good. The camera is very hard to control and I often find myself struggling with it to try and get a view of the whole course. It's always tethered to the ball. I wish I could "walk around" the course freely to get a feel for its lay out. The analog stick is way too course. It's difficult to line your shot up. If they had made it more finely rotate your shot, it would be much better. The courses are pretty dull. It'd be nice if some more imagination was put into them.

Had hope for the game but sadly it fell short. Level plans are not well laid out, it has its moments but the game glitches quite a bit w/ not registering your inputs. Additionally it's a 1 controller game so you can't utilize the switches ability to use the smaller individual controllers for multiplayer. Your always handing it off back and fortg. and forth. Additionally camera is clunky and there isn't much of a progression set up you just play more rounds to unlock different balls, of which you only can select 1 type of ball for you and your additional players. It's a good idea, but it just fell shoet. Of my expectations. If this was on steam I would have refunded itnasap.

House of Golf is a clever half-golf half-party game title which contains so much different courses that it will last long, alone or up to six players, thanks to collectibles to find and a decent challenge that keeps increasing.

Cheap and cheerful but fun to play. Bit of trial and error cos there doesn't seem to be anyway of getting an over view of the hole so sometimes it's a bit hit and hope. Also the camera defaults towards the hole but the aiming arrow doesn't which is a bit of a fiddle. If you like crazy golf and have a Switch you can't really go wrong.
