Honkai: Star Rail

With stellar storytelling and satisfying progression that offer dozens of hours of content that newcomers and hardcore players can enjoy, Honkai: Star Rail is a free-to-play RPG that might hook you for months – without making you feel like you have to pay.

With Honkai Star Rail, Hoyoverse has shown that its luck is not simple and that the success of its productions is due to the ability of the teams to create experiences that are open to all, able to involve thanks to well-characterized characters and gameplay that keeps glued to the screen. Despite the unoriginal plot and maps with a very rigid structure, the free to play from the creators of Genshin Impact boasts a turn-based combat system that proved to be spot on and some endgame modes that convinced us. It is therefore an excellent starting point that we hope will be supported consistently through the publication of events, characters and missions that keep users interested in the long term.

It's hard not to fall for the charms of Honkai: Star Rail. The storyline, even if it draws on Japanese anime clichés, is extremely rich, populated by sparkling characters and written with a great deal of humor. The gameplay is addictive and extremely clever, and the monetization knows how to take a back seat to the gameplay experience. A real success story.

Honkai Star Rail is a highly polished turn-based RPG that builds off the Hoyoverse gacha machine, and while it certainly doesn’t reinvent the wheel, its colourful cast of characters and mercurial tone sets it on the right track.

A great role playing game with turn based combat, free and fun. It does not reach the quality of Genshin Impact but it is close.

Honkai: Star Rail would easily be one of the greatest turn based RPGs of the past few years were it not for it's predatory monetization system.

Honkai Star Rail highlights the issues that Genshin Impact had despite how many issues have been addressed. The game's barebones RPG mechanics will definitely improve over time, but it still will take a lot to convince any enthusiast to pick this game over other turn-based RPG gacha games.

It's a gacha game, and worst a game that came from the devs of Genshin. So, yeah, I was surprised at the quality of the game, if you like RPGs you should definitely try this, specially if you like story-driven narratives

It's a good game. Characters are great. Gameplay is great. Audio and music is great. The story and writing is crap. Graphics are great and visual style is fun and interesting. The UI is crap. The consept is interesting. Would love to play this more but it honestly just isn't polished enough to keep me playing it. Especially when I've already so deeply invested in other games from the same company.

Beside the gacha problem, it's difficult to earn gem in late game, which makes it somewhat p2w. If only there's more guaranteed banner or ticket to get the character I want. Story, gameplay and character design all pretty good. Overall, the game is not bad. It's worth to try.

Игра не ценит ресурсы и время игрока: есть баннеры с редкими персами, но реальный шанс их выпадения не гарантированно на 90 крутке, а гораздо ниже, так как сделали конченую систему приглашённых персов, то есть шанс размывается 1 к 8, и в итоге вам может выпасть мусорный S-перс, а игра уникальна тем, что там полно S-мусора. В NTE у вас баннер с одним S-персом и вы гарантированно его получите при 90 крутках, при этом он может выпасть даже на первой. Также игра примитивная и однообразная, если сравнивать боёвку с Clair Obscure. Игра некрасивая, мир исследовать не интересно, это однообразные копипастные коридорчики, анимации персов в диалогах деревянные, много неозвученного контента, в итоге всё скипаешь. В проекте явно выраженный сексизм, направленный против мужского пола, почти все руководы и главы - это женщины, а мужчины зачастую выставлены идиотами или дураками. Проект не рекомендую, если хотите хорошую пошаговую ролёвку - поиграйте в Clair Obscure, если ищите годную приветливую в новичкам гачу - вливайте в NTE, контента там пока маловато (на 50 часов), но в целом это самая красивая и перспективная гача.

This game is not worth spending time anymore. Every process are super grindy, storytelling is bloated and filled with unecessary complex dialogues. Content is very little and low effort. Monetization are getting push harder every patches. The gameplay is just bad at this point, there is no good element of a turn-based left, it is basically just character check game to see who got more recent characters. Only thing that worth mention are all the visual aspects including art, vfx, animation etc. "All style, no substance" Sad to say it used to be quite good at the beginning
