Great experience, probably one of the most underestimated game I played in a while. It's really fun to play, the mix of skateboard and shooter works really well. A tones of good ideas all along the game.
Writing is awsome, made me laught a lot. For such a small team that made that game, it's impressive what they acheived. it's better than most AAA I played recently. Don't get the review bombing, people really need to chill out, they fixed the game actually really fast and personnaly I didn't had any bugs all along.
I would encourage anyone to play that game, it's a lot of fun.

I found the story, environment, jokes, & NPCs in general overall better/more interesting in the 1st game. But the guns & skateboarding in 2 make this the more "fun" one to play gameplay wise. Keep in mind a lot of the review bombing is due to the insane number of bugs & glitches when the game first came out, it's not because it's a bad game & they were working fast to patch all of the issues.

Surprisingly good, had minor issues and after tweaking graphic settings I was able to get it clear and playable. Music & Environments were really good, and the shooting and movement had a great upgrade compared to the original. Varied gameplay and concepts kept the game interesting throughout

This game fails to deliver even the slightest improvement from the first game, game breaking bugs, soft locks that hinder progress. I put in 5 hours of playtime and made it up to the murder mystery section, it asks you to kill bikers which I was doing, got thrown out of the window and now my game is glitched I can’t even load to a previous save because the game dosent let you have manual saves so I lost 5 hours. Completely ruined the game for me. Even after the patch 1 which was released on 3/1/26 it still has me locked.

People said its funnier than the 1st, it isn't. For me it was 60% less funny. The gameplay is mostly repetitive, and the story is by far not as good as the 1st was. The addition of thr skateboard making it partially tony hawk is the best addition because of better movement speeds. I would say wait until on sale or go on game pass to play it as low cost as you can.

If you check these reviews, a lot of them mention technical issues which takes the game at least ten points from itss right position. This is a very creative shooter with unique and attractive aesthetic reminiscent of toys. It is fun and fast and has i bet the most creative boss fights of this year. There is no corporate staleness here, Its like ratchet and clank. The humour , the gun play, the movement, especially the keyboard. The jokes are not as crass, environs, not as restricted, full to brim with jokes. The best comedy shooter of the year.

While better than the first game, this has issues. The game trades humour for insane movement that is incredibly fun to play and some great missions like murder mysteries and other stuff. The humour is nowhere near as funny as the first but im happy it improves on these topics. The guns are not great as both of the starter ones are incredibly annoying. However, as the game goes on, there are better guns introduced like Travis voiced by Ken Marino and my personal favourite, Sheath voiced by the great Ralph Ineson. My main issue with this game is performance and crashes. In about 2 hours of gameplay, I had 4 crashes (and I have a high end PC (4090 Graphics Card, 32G RAM, 13th Gen Intel Processor) and I had noticeable frame drops and so many crashes. The story is a rehash of the original but you are on the other side of the law (your an outlaw) and its kinda annoying. I was hoping for something a little different but you are literally going after an enemy group with the same goal as the G3 Cartel and hunting down targets. The Boss Fights throughout the game are really awesome. They all offer different things but none are very challenging. The fight with Muppy Doo is incredibly well made as you chase him through the games settings and code. Also, I love the drawing mechanic, its so dope. It adds cool new features like Skateboards and Shoes, this game just feels like High On Life 1 with slight story tweaks and some improvements. Better than the first, but there is still some work that needs to be done. Hopefully, High On Life 3(?) can improve upon this game.

To me the game is really bad, horrible humor and highly annoying characters (jeppy and literally every weapon for example), the gameplay is also mediocre so this game is a solid torture device for anyone who gets irritated by in your face, self aware humor and characters voiced to be purposely aggravating . They should use this game to get people to confess things like chinesewater torture was used...

Only worth 50 dollar.
- 11 - 20 hours long. -glitches, unbalanced weapons, same old game but better for me got only 1 error for me more optimization than 1st game got 9 errors, better jokes very less annoying unfunny jokes than 1st, better graphics, better more enemies type, both boring weapons not creative, both good bosses fights but 1st better level design (exploring weird planets). -only good graphics, some creative missions, animation and jokes.

I really don't get the hate. I mean yeah, it's a bit unpolished, I encountered few annoying bugs that stopped me from getting all of the lugloxes, but nothing really gamebreaking. Performance wasn't bad at all for me, few hiccups here and there, but with FSR it was totally alright on 7900XTX + 7800X3D. I had my moment of doubt in first like 30 minutes of the game when it kinda felt like slop where I dropped it for like 1-2 days because it just didn't hook me up (maybe that's the moment most people wrote their reviews). But when I got back after work to wash my brain a bit - it clicked for me, because that's the intended purpose. Generally speaking it's a game that is doing what it's meant to do - just shut your brain down, relax and listen to some dry jokes. Developers themselves are pretty damn sure that many of these jokes are totally dry, and that's what actually makes them funny (not all of them are even that dry though). Skateboarding is quite well done and fun, shooting is pretty fun too, locations are fine. Plot is not too complicated, but it's not meant to be - this is not freaking Witcher 3 with deep roleplaying, this game is meant to be "dumb", you are supposed to relax in there, not contemplate moral choices or whatever. It may not be for everyone or not for everyone in given particular moment where they want some deeper immersion or something, but if you just want to chill after work - it does the job very well. I don't really know why people are complaining - maybe they had worse experience than me with bugs or performance, that's fair. But when it comes to what this game is supposed to do - I'm not really sure what were they expecting to say it's bad. It delivers what it's supposed to deliver: low effort fun that's supposed to reset your brain after everyday struggles. Complex enough to not make you sleep, simple enough to not make you tired. PS. I'm still really curious what Apples did.

No more excuses. Gamers deserve better. If your game isn't ready, then you don't release it. Plain and simple. We are not here to test your games, that's your responsibility. While I myself didn't encounter any crashes or game breaking bugs (yet) I can't get behind a game that is poorly optimized. The first game is a gem. This game still has the charm behind all the performance issues but I'm tired of "pushing through" games that are clearly not ready to be released. I'm tired of waiting for patches that fix YOUR mistakes. I'll pick this back up when it goes under $20 but right now, I'm good.

I encountered several critical bugs and could not even procede past the tutorial. 1. My character was moving automaticly to its left. Both with controller and keyboard, i checked that this issue happens only in this game. 2. To increase resolution to 1440p you need to switch to fullscreen and there is a white line at the top for some reason.
3. Textures are extremely bluried with short rendering distance. This is what become of Squanch Games without Justin Roiland

un gioco fuori di testa come immaginavo che però non raggiunge la comicità e l'epicità del primo capitolo, bella l'aggiunta dello skateboard ma combatterci è parecchio difficile, qualche problema tecnico,un gioco carino che però rischia di annoiare

Charm. It is missing it completely! 1 was awesome, exploring weird planets and sewers and forests. Here we just have buildings, that lack colour, and are very far apart from each other. Not sure if the team that worked on the first one is the same team that worked on the 2nd one, but it definitely doesn't feel like it.

It's off the rails insane and genre bending. A must play! Throws any expectations you may have and surprises you.

Bad performance on older hardware aside, it is a solid game that lives up to the previous titles. As many others might argue, the pacing in this game is much better and the skateboard in a welcomed addition. I do despise the amount of miss-able achievements there are in this game. It can ruin a perfectionist playthrough. The bosses also didn't feel anywhere near as challenging as the first game's. The levels are a lot of fun and the core gameplay is still just as exciting. It absolutely could be better but it is a solid experience.

Just a great overall game. Such a stress reliever. The jokes are on point, the gameplay is silky smooth, and every aspect of the first game is improved upon. My only real complaint is the gatlians are unbalanced. Not to sound spacist or anything, but Sheath and Travis (after obtaining his wife) feel a bit overpowered compared to Sweezy and Gus. Other than that, pretty fun game.

High on Life 2 quick review I was enjoying this game through the first 5 hours but I quickly became tired of the game the more I played. They keep kept introducing poor, uninteresting characters, a poor map and a sub par inventory system. Side quests are basically just activities and are very poor and not well thought out. Like collecting rings or going through circles on a skateboard with a timer. The humor was somewhat good at first but quickly died down. I went hours without laughing. The serious parts of the game are just downright boring and you feel no connection to the characters of the story. The optimization is very poor and I experienced roughly 15 crashes, pop in and textures not loading correctly. Pros: Fun gameplay, weapons and movement. Cons: Everything else

**High on Life 2** is a sequel to the first game, and it continues that toxic, absurd path — and honestly, it continues it strongly! In many ways, it feels cooler than the first game and really shines in terms of **** skate-style movement is very well designed and extremely fun, adding a lot of energy to the experience. The new guns are hilarious as well, and each one offers solid and enjoyable shooting **** PC, unfortunately — or maybe because of a bug — the game didn’t use the DualSense features at all. From the beginning to the end, I didn’t feel any vibration. On the Xbox controller, there was also an L3 drift issue. Other problems include frequent loading screens, slow texture loading, bugs, and frame **** if we put those technical issues aside, the core game itself is very entertaining. I think it has an interesting story, the gameplay is really fun, and it can genuinely make the player laugh :)I personally really liked the game — the technical problems were just annoying.

High On Life 2 Is A Great Sequel Full Of Surprises Everything From Gameplay To Story Makes Every Bit Of Fun

I’ll be honest. I didn’t love the first High on Life. The humor felt hit-or-miss, the gameplay loop got repetitive, and by the end I was more relieved than satisfied. So going into High on Life 2, my expectations were cautious at best. Somehow, this sequel ended up being way better than I expected. The talking guns are still the heart of the game, but this time they feel more distinct. Both in personality and gameplay. Each weapon has a clear combat identity instead of just being a different flavor of weird. The banter feels sharper, less forced, and more self-aware. There’s a better balance between absurd comedy and actual mechanical usefulness. I found myself swapping guns strategically instead of just sticking with one and tuning out the chatter. The new skateboard traversal system is easily one of the best additions. It’s fluid, responsive, and makes moving through environments genuinely fun instead of just functional. Grinding through alien cities, weaving between enemies, and chaining movement into combat gives the game a momentum it didn’t have before. It adds personality and flow. Something the first game desperately needed. This is where the sequel really shines. The boss fights are creative and mechanically varied. They don’t just rely on bullet sponge enemies with extra health bars. Instead, they mix environmental interaction, pattern recognition, and weapon specific mechanics. Some fights genuinely surprised me with how inventive they were. It feels like the developers took feedback to heart and decided to make bosses memorable instead of merely chaotic. The comedy feels tighter and more confident this time around. It’s still absurd and meta, but it doesn’t overstay its welcome. The pacing helps a lot and jokes don’t drag scenes down, and the writing feels more intentional. If you didn’t vibe with the first game’s humor, you might still be surprised here. It feels less like constant noise and more like actual comedic timing. Not everything is perfect. Some of the puzzle sections slow the game down in a way that doesn’t feel rewarding. They’re not particularly challenging, but they can feel like filler between the stronger combat and traversal segments. They’re not bad just kind of bleh. You’ll solve them and move on without thinking twice. Especially with certain guns. High on Life 2 is the kind of sequel that makes you reconsider the franchise. Even as someone who didn’t enjoy the first game much, I had a genuinely good time here It’s not perfect, but it’s confident, weird in the right ways, and far more polished than its predecessor. If you bounced off the first one like I did, this might be worth a second look.

Took me 30 minutes, 4 restarts, turning everything as low as it could go, just to get through the 5 minute into. I’m usually optimistic about games and will try to make it work. This literally will not work on the lowest settings, on a 5080 and ryzen 7 9800xd. A 2026 game not optimized for current hardware is a joke. It won't run for more than 5 minutes, which is a shame. Because underneath is a good game. DO NOT BUY!

I REALLY like this game, but after about 15 hours and in the back half of the game, I have to admit that it's falling below my expectations as someone who was thrilled by the first game. I don't like "guessing" about why a game isn't what it could be, especially in situations such as this, but it really feels like the loss of Justin Roiland hurt HOL immensely. The game feels a few degrees "off" from the previous game, and the new direction is toward "generic". I don't really care **** is "funny". I play for gameplay. The fact that HOL1 was funny was just icing on the cake. HOL 2 is... amusing... at best, and a lot of the writing feels like Duke Nukem Forever level writing. You're still getting a ton of creativity and things you've never seen in a game before, but the more intelligent satire and cynical philosophical musings are replaced with (shudder) "breaking the fourth wall". And a LOT of it. Also, the improvisational feel of the guns commenting on the game as you are playing is basically ENTIRELY gone. It's replaced with a script that is telling a "Story" as you play and the game's now-large cast "radios" you their lines... like every other videogame. Again... I like this game. I think it's quite good. But it's like when a band you love puts out another record and you say, "Okay. It's good. But... this is enough. Don't do this again. Because if you do it again, it's going to be embarrassing." A huge part of being "cool" is knowing when to quit.

The game itself is not bad, but I have encountered a lot of technical problems that have led me to give such a low rating. It could definitely have been done better, although it gives some great ideas.

Its an amazing game with a great soundtrack graphics fun gameplay and overall its better than the first the guns mechanics are new and exciting I like the skateboard mechanic and the plots pretty good the humour has retained itself well enough but it could at least make a better final villian as I found them a bit random and unimpressive but I really recommend playing it if you have the time for it

I didn't really like this game! I think the developers could have doing a much better job . Although the gameplay and the technical sector seem to be very valuable, the narrative sector is really aseptic and sparse!

Gameplay: Shooting aliens with talking guns, skateboarding and environmental puzzles. 10/10
Graphics: Colorful worlds and characters, my dopamine level is out of scale. 10/10
Optimization: Idk what this **** are talking about but I'm playing on steam deck at 30-60fps depending on area at low settings with FSR, so it's totally awesome that UE5 game works here on 1.6 teraflop GPU. There are some stutters while new areas are loading in real time, but in general it's smooth. 8/10
Story: Didn't finished yet, but the beginning is as great as first part. So I'm excited to get to know what it will be. In general it's awesome game with beautiful graphics, good, funny vibes same as first part and satisfying gameplay. 10/10

Absolutely horrible performance, worse than other UE5 titles, totally unoptimized. I have a 9070XT my CPU is not the bottleneck. The first medium-sized area fighting scene in the game has my FPS drop below 50, I can play other games, including UE5 titles, without upscaling. When I enabled FSR quality, the FPS gets WORSE! Something eats at the FPS like crazy in big scenes in this game. As always, this is a mix of UE and the devs faults. I bought a GPU for €800 so I can play modern games! Not have below 60 FPS. Humor is like written by 13-year-olds for 13-year-olds, but it's also very sexual, so I have no clue what kind of audience this is for, I am proud of not being part of that club. Game is piss easy even on hardest difficultly, gunplay feels basic and boring. Music IS OBNOXIOUS, absolutely OBNOXIOUS! If you turn it off, there are so few environmental sounds in the game that the game suddenly feels incredibly empty audio wise. 1 point for art style, can look quite cool in some places. But certainly looks cooler when you see in on video then when you actually play it yourself, does not look. I tuned the graphics down now from maxed out setting, and it's not helping! Total mess. I also had a bug where the game catapulted me into the sky, then I slowly fell down and landed locked into some building having to restart from last checkpoint. Then there are the "fans" of just look for a reason to get butthurt over some voice actor not being part of the game, this is the least of my concerns but also is very telling. The game just has nothing to offer but frustration and boredom.
