A very limited on-rails shooter that just gets boring after you've played it for about 15 minutes or so. [Mar 2011, p.105]

Pacifist AI? That's a first. And hopefully last. [Mar 2011, p.93]

Not even the 500-Point price tag can justify a purchase of the mindless Heavy Fire, because for a whopping double that you can get a miles better retail game like Ghost Squad or House of the Dead: Overkill.

Some deleted by review, no idea why. Anyway, just to sum up quickly - Heavy Fire: Special Operations is a fun rail shooter/shooting gallery set in a modern day Somalia. Intense, focused, challenging, arcade-like - a very good game overall for its price. It might be simplistic or a little bare bones, the visuals are not top notch, but game really plays well and has nice military-themed setting. Recommended!

Heavy Fire: Special Operations was the first game I ever bought via the Wii Shop Channel, and now I just want my Wii Points back. I wasted 500 Wii Points on a boring shooter. Heavy Fire: Special Operations is the most generic shooter of all times, the game gets boring very quickly. There's nothing different between stages, they are just the same. Weapons aren't anything different, aside from ammo, so why have a different weapon if it can do the same thing as the other one? The graphics looks horrible, even for a WiiWare game, I mean, I have saw Nintendo 64 games with better graphics than this! If you have 500 Wii Points on your Wii, don't spend on this garbage.
