I wasn't expecting to see a ground-breaking game of the Yoshi series that would be completely different of everything that I have saw from the series before. I was expecting a fun experience. And this game was what I was expecting. This game is fun to play, the art style is amazing, even though I think it looks kinda messy at some points. The game plays fine, but nothing to different from the previous one. See the problem here is that there isn't nothing different. It is fun, yes, but it doesn't brings anything new to the table. Yoshi's New Island feels more like a remake than a sequel, but if you just want a fun 3DS platformer, then why not check this out?

"Octodad: Dadliest Catch" is something unique. It was a really funny experience and like you can't go 3 minutes into the game without laughing at something weird. The controls are kinda a downside, they are weird and difficult to control at some points. Some of the mission objectives doesn't gives you a direction or a map to find where you are supposed to go and that's kinda lame. But Octodad is a very neat experience for those who want a bizzare yet fun experience.

User ScoreTheLurkingKing

Nidhogg is a nice twist to the head-to-head fightning games. Featuring an unique gameplay style, the game makes everything rewarding. The A.I. sometimes is tough, making you feel that you are fightning a real opponent, unlike most of the fightning games which required to spam a combo a biliion of times to win. Nidhogg isn't about combos, it is about skill. If you are bad, that's your fault, not the game. The game is incredibly easy to understand and play, but it is hard to master. Multiplayer is fun, specially with local, with constant laughs at each one failures. However, Nidhoog is limited. There is only four levels and few game modes, which makes the whole thing become repetitive for a while. But Nidhogg is a thing that I want to repeat for a while. The game feels different with each enemy having their own unique strategy and learning how to defeat their strategy is always a pleasure.

Super Mario 3D World
10
User ScoreTheLurkingKing
Jan 14, 2014
Nintendo never fails when the things is their main titles. Super Mario 3D World is not exception. The game is very good, the graphics are amazing and very well detailed, it really shows what the Wii U is capable of. Galaxy 2 had amazing graphics, but 3D World is better in every way possible. Super Mario 3D World's main gimmick is the "3D exploration but with a 2D feeling", like it's precessor Super Mario 3D Land. 3D World feels like a classic game, but with a modern touch. There is 4 playable characters to choose from. Each one of them have their own skills and you really fell that when you play the game, each character feels different when you play. Nintendo once again challenge players with level exploration in order to find secrets and stamps. The game rewards you for exploration and that is a very good thing is games. The levels feels gimmicky all the time, each level has something unique to see and do. Power-ups works pretty nice and the new Cat Bell, while it sounds weird, still a lot of fun to use. Bosses, however, are kinda a disappointment, they suffer from the "find the weak point, hit it 3 times" cliche and most of the time, it isn't fun, it is just boring. But still, the game is a lot of fun and finding all the stamps isn't an easy task and you keep coming back for more. Let's just hope that Nintendo continues with this formula to the next titles.

This game should be called "Battlefield 3: This Version Crashes A Lot Edition", it is literally Battlefield 3, but with way more bugs and crashes. The game crashes on the singleplayer mode, on the multiplayer and sometimes at the menu. The new features are forgettable, the commander sounds cool in theory... but it doesn't work in game, because nobody will give a f*ck to what you are saying to them to do. Avoid this.

DLC Quest

User ScoreTheLurkingKing
Jan 5, 2014
Waste of money, even for it's price. DLC Quest have two sections: the DLC Quest itself and the "Live Freemium or Die". The first part of DLC Quest can be beat under 15 minutes, it is very short and boring, it is just a MacGuffin for coins, get coins, buy dlc, get more coins, find dlc, buy those. As a satire, it works, but as a game it doesn't. Live Freemium or Die is... a thing. It feels more like a game unlike the first part. But it is still the same deal, get coins, buy dlc, get more coins, find dlc, buy those. It gets boring very quickly. There's nothing to see, nothing to do! You literally just walk around and get coins. No enemies, no battles, nothing! It is just bland. Even worse, there's not even a map! One of the game's quest requires you to buy a cut level and meet with a guy in the caves to get a pickaxe, but the guy on the cave won't give you the pickaxe until you talk with a guy that is on the cut level, the problem is, you don't know where the is that level, because there's no map! You have to guess where is it! The game is very boring as well. It shouldn't be a game where you have to pay for it, it shouldn't even be a game. As a satire, again, it works, but the developers also forgot that they were making a game. There's no game here. Nothing. Avoid it.

The game is superb. The writing is amazing as always, the 3D graphics are amazing and the overall's game plot is awesome. I see a lot of criticsm saying that the game recycled the plot style from the first game, but it isn't. It is just fan dumb. The game is very long, which is something also very nice, the previous game could be beat in 5 hours, but I beat this one under two days. Capcom knows how to create great games and this is a proof of it. Can't wait to see more of the spiky haired lawyer again!

This is how Castlevania should have been. 2D platformer with a lot of challenge and great level design. It's a stepfoward for Konami, this game is good for old and new Castlevania fans, the game have suberb graphics and an amazing soundtrack. The only reason that this game is hated it is because it is not "3D KILL EVERYONE ON THE SCREEN BLOOD GORE or "IT'S NOT METROID". If you are a fan of 2D plaformers like (the original) Castlevania, Super Mario Bros., you should try this one out;

Pacific Rim for Xbox 360... ugh such a rushed mess to cash-in into the movie release and it is so, so bad. First of, the game isn't fun. Second of, most of the characters are unlocked and you need to buy them. With real life money. No, Yuke. I'm not going to waste my precious money on one single character. Pokémon Rumble is an interesting experience, it looks like a Pokémon Mystery Dungeon but with more focus on action and... that's it. Pokémon Rumble is a very repetitive game. The game is simple: go to a stage, find a Pokémon with power level X and beat 'em up some other Pokémon. The game gets repetitive after a while, since the game re-uses the stages but replaces the enemies. The game is very easy, you can beat it in 1 hour. The game, however, it is fun with a friend or two, or three! Nintendo knows how to make fun games to everyone, but if you are going to play it alone then it gets boring really fast.

No Time to Explain

User ScoreTheLurkingKing

No TIme to Explain is a simple puzzle platformer game that start out easy and then gets more harder on the next levels. The game has a simple artwork style which is pretty nice, but the overall game is just trial and error all over again, with no challenge whatsoever, it is just one of those "indie hard as games", I personally hate all those indie games that is meant to be hard and a nod to classic games, it is just an excuse for poor level design. The game has bosses but with zero difficult because you can die over and over without gaming over and always respawning on the boss arena, plus all the bosses are just "shoot him until they die" with nothing involving the player's skills. The game is really short as well, it is possible to beat it in two hours. The humor in this game though is possibly the only reason to buy it, but you can find all the cutscenes on Youtube. 5/10

Beastie Bay is a fun experience. It is very similar to games such as SimCity and Pokémon and it is very simple to play. The art style is a nice touch, being a nod to the NES games. The game is pretty simple, yet fun. The battles are fun but later into the game they become to much frequent at the point of frustation. The island managing feature is weird but works. Beastie Bay is a fun experience, much more better than most of iOS games like Angry Birds and really deserves more attetion.

The iOS port of Sonic CD is amazing, Sonic CD is my favorite Sonic game and this is the game I was wanting for all those years, a Sonic CD where I could go anywhere with it. The game is perfect, gameplay is nice, I always had problems with iOS platformers due how weird is to control by touching the screen, but I didn't had this problem on Sonic CD. The ability to change the soundtrack between the American and Japanese is a welcome addition, since I always preferred the Japanese soundtrack, being able to control Tails as a extra bonus is also something I wanted.

New Super Luigi U
5
User ScoreTheLurkingKing
Jan 2, 2014
I got mixed feelings about this game. As a DLC, it is a pretty good, with more levels and making it more difficult to players who wanted something harder but as a standalone title..., well, New Super Luigi U (Retail) is only recommended for players who doesn't own New Super Mario Bros. U, because if you already have NSMBU there's no reason for getting NSLU Retail Version. The game is just a level pack, nothing new is here with the exception of: Luigi's high jump and Nabbit. Nabbit is the fourth playable character in the game replacing Mario, however, he cannot be defeated by enemies and cannot use Power-ups, but he can grab them and it will turn into 1-ups at the end of the level. This is really ruins the point of having a difficult level pack if you have character that can literally bypass all the challenges easily, sure you can't pick some of the Star Coins with Nabbit, but my point still stands. As for Luigi's high jump, it is a nice little nod to the previous games where Luigi's jump was higher, but this feature is completely ruined with one thing: the M Block, the M Block removes Luigi's high jump feature. Why? Why have an item that completely removes one of the character's trademark ability? It is like if there was an item on the Sonic series which would remove his speed. If you thought that NSMBU was easy and want something difficult on New Super Mario Bros. U, then try out NSLU, otherwise, do not get this game.

FAST Racing League is a pretty great game. Combine the speed of F-Zero with the color changing mechanic from Ikaruga and then you have a pretty great game. The game have amazing graphics and a pretty decent soundtrack, the cars look cool and the courses are fairly difficult. It kinda reminds me of Star Wars: Episode One Racer. If you are tired of Mario Kart Wii and wants something more like F-Zero, FAST Racing League is the best you can get. 8/10

Heavy Fire: Special Operations was the first game I ever bought via the Wii Shop Channel, and now I just want my Wii Points back. I wasted 500 Wii Points on a boring shooter. Heavy Fire: Special Operations is the most generic shooter of all times, the game gets boring very quickly. There's nothing different between stages, they are just the same. Weapons aren't anything different, aside from ammo, so why have a different weapon if it can do the same thing as the other one? The graphics looks horrible, even for a WiiWare game, I mean, I have saw Nintendo 64 games with better graphics than this! If you have 500 Wii Points on your Wii, don't spend on this garbage.

Sonic the Hedgehog (2006)
5
User ScoreTheLurkingKing
Jan 2, 2014
Sonic the Hedgehog for the PS3 is a decent game. The story is really lame, yes, but it had nice ideas, such as time travel, something that was planned to be in Sonic 2, and that would actually work if it was like it was supposed to be in Sonic 2, but it wasn't. The gameplay is solid, but there is a lot of problems, such as dying due a programming mistake, on the first level. Most of the time, the game play works for the main characters, but there is a lot of problems with the other characters such as Knuckles, which would cause many glitches while playing as him. The stages are detailed and they have nice designs, but like said earlier, the game have a lot of glitches making those levels unplayable at some points. The soundtrack is amazing, the main theme His World is pretty dang awesome and the final boss themes are actually pretty great. Overall, this could be a good game if Sega didn't rushed it, Sonic the Hedgehog for PS3 is a decent game, with or without glitches with some fun parts. The most fun part of the game is to laugh at the horrible plot with millions of plot holes.
