Une expérience en demi-teinte. Certains aspects m’ont plu, d’autres beaucoup moins.

Very interesting game, but the combat is too wonky and easy. It functions as a roguelike, but the episodes and sequences are way too short to have any real effect. This makes for a game with interesting mechanics but boring to play. A lot of it was just to wait for the loading sequences to finish too, everytime you fight. The character creation was also very bad, i rather they have kept the hooded character before they let you customize it. If you want a game like this, I suggest For the King, its closest thing I can think of, but it doesn't posses the roguelite mechanics

Hand of Fate 2 is very engaging and easy to pick up. The amount of stories is just enough to not bore you, and they are all very much different from each other. The deck building mechanism is fun and lets you experiment. Card progression trough the token system is intuitive and gives room to try out cards throughout many runs to uncover all the mysteries and bonuses behind them. Unfortunately not everything is so perfect. The combat system is very clunky and non-responsive at times, especially with larger groups of enemies. The difficulty of the campaign is all over the place, with stories that you can pass with random cards and others where it's hard to get by even with carefully selected and planned out deck.
But those flaws don't make the game unplayable by any means. It's a perfect game to pick up on calm Sunday evening, with a glass of wine, or a cup of tea and just sink into the atmospheric world of Hand of Fate.

Similar to the first game, but with the addition of new items, stories and mechanics. Unfortunately, given how similar it is to the first one, I lost interest before finishing it.

Maybe a little worse than the first game, but still a great game, you can become easily addicted.:)

Really? Every time you die, you have to restart everything from the very beginning, and play the exact same stuff all over again. Why?

It says right click to defend, I right click and they don't hold up the shield. A little later there is some token on the card and it says i should find it (even though it is right there in the open) so I click on it to see what happens, and it skips through the text before i read it, and there is no back button. Also can't see extra items in inventory without clicking every single slot to see what alternate items there are. This much **** in the first 2 mintes and I am just done with it.

I enjoyed the cardboard games aspects. Great flavour and atmosphere in that part and has some fun mechanics. Where it gets dragged down for me is the combat. After a little while it feels repetitive and clunky. Still worth playing.

Being a moderate fan of the original, I didn't expect much from this sequel. The first game was interesting and challenging although derivative of Arkham games. There was very little story in the first game. It was merely you versus the dealer. Hand of Fate 2 does a good job with the story elements. I like the companions and the recruiting that you can do along the way. I did not like the illusion of choice in the dialogue options. You are going down a certain story path whether you respond with anger or passivity. Combat is easy to cheese for the most part. slash slash dodge... rinse and repeat. The new cards and events are clever and engaging enough to keep you interested. Altogether I would give this a 7.5. The graphics upgrade and story make this worth the $free I spent on Epic Games store.

Gameplay: C+ Story: B Graphics: C Audio: C I haven't finished this game At first this game is really enternaining. So many different cards and stories. But the combat is weak and repetetive so after some time, even if story drags you in, combat make this game very boring.

Great game, big improvement on the 1st one. More games of chance added and the combat has been (slightly) improved, though it feels a bit more.. jankey and still isn't that great. Bad optimization keeps it from being a 10/10 if you hate RNG, stay far far away from this game. But you already knew that if you played the 1st one.

Great game. It improves everything from the previous installment. The only drawback is lack optimalisation. I can't run it in 4k ultra even with a very strong pc. Works fine on 1440p so cant really complain.

These games take everything I love about action rpgs and combine it into one. A board made of cards, deck building, resource management. handling inventories. It all comes together in a satisfying package. I played for 8 hours after it was released and wanted to keep playing. The combat is a weak part of the game and unlike in 2015 I've played a lot more games with the countering mechanic that have done it much better. They could have innovated this aspect more. It is more of the same as last game with improvements. There are some silly ragdoll physics when you kill enemies and some of the minigames are more about RNG than skill but it is one of the few single player games that keeps me coming back and playing for hours on end.
