Escape Doodland
Despite utilising a rudimentary list of controls, the charming and irreverent tone of Escape Doodland makes it really quite entertaining and genuinely funny. The touch of having Steve shout ‘no’ in his silly high voice as the monster closes in for the kill is delightfully grim. Despite the slightly frustrating elements, Doodland ‘escapes’ the clutches of mediocrity thanks to its smooth physics, subtle wit, and memorable art style.
Escape Doodland may offer a light and upbeat aesthetic, but the gameplay is more challenging than you’d expect from these visuals. When it works, it’s good and rather moreish, but the experience is inconsistent.
If running, jumping, and farting around while a huge monster chases you sounds like fun then you'll likely enjoy this off-the-wall indie.

I love a good fart joke, but didn’t love this game. I didn’t dig the artwork. It looked like a little kid drew it. The gameplay was very simplistic in that you move along at a constant speed and use a button to jump and do double jumps using the power of farts to avoid obstacles or grab items. Simplistic gameplay can be okay with complex and varied level design, but I didn’t find that here. I believe I read that a man and his girlfriend made this game themselves, and while that’s an impressive accomplishment I can’t recommend this game. If you are looking for a similar style one button jump game, I would recommend super one more jump. Or, you could hop on your computer and play the helicopter game for free.

Very good game, creative implementation of known mechanics, responsive character control, magical and marvelous visual setting. See that the game was created with passion.

Summary Death and destruction came into Doodland. This happy and joyful land is going to change. Forever. You play as one of Doodlers, a peacefull inhabitant of happy doodle world, attacked by a meciless monster. There are only two options: run as fast as you can or die.
