Terrible game, it is almost as bad as DMC2, where do i even begin? The game is unfinished, half of the game is doing the same missions but in a diferent order, the level design is awful, the enemies are annoying, the bosses are extremely bad, the only decent one is credo and maybe dante. The story is absolute ****, dmc and dmc3 had pretty good stories but this one is garbage. The combat is great but the game is so annoying that is easy to forget how good the combat system is. 4/10 bad game

The lack of boss variety and the final missions of this game are unbearable. Everything else is sick.

To be clear, I still really enjoyed my time with DMC4, it’s a solid 7.5/10, but I understand the criticism people have with this game, saying that it feels unfinished. Just like DMC1 and 3, the combat is extremely fun, and pulling off combos is as satisfying as ever, with the polish of the third game. Most of the puzzles are pretty enjoyable and I liked some of the parts where you slow down time, except for the one where you have to climb up these moving platforms, that part ****. There are these objects in this game where you have to hit them, and while it is fun to kill a bunch of enemies with them, they can be pretty pace-breaking. I thought playing as Nero was really fun and I enjoyed using his Devil Bringer arm. It was satisfying in combat, especially during the platforming segments. So yeah, I didn’t mind playing as Nero in DMC4 as some people did, but what I didn’t like though was when we started playing as Dante. Don’t get me wrong, Dante is still super fun to play as in this game, he plays very similarly to how he did in the previous title, meaning near perfect, but my gosh his entire campaign rehashed so much stuff from the Nero adventure, and this is where my major problem with this game arises. All we do with Dante is explore the same areas and fight the same bosses we did when playing as Nero, and while they do change up some requirements for missions in Dante’s campaign, it’s not enough to shake things up. Not to mention that the bosses are almost the same as they were before, meaning that you're still rehashing content. And this isn’t the only time bosses are reused, it happens during the game’s boss rush, and my gosh this game did NOT need a boss rush. I already didn’t like doing the dice minigame before this and shoehorning it in during the game’s climax put a sour taste in my mouth. I didn’t even realize how to make the dice land on what number you want until I almost finished it which aggravated me even more. Playing as Dante and Nero is still a ton of fun, but once you finish Nero’s 11 missions, it feels like you’ve already seen everything this game has to offer. Even the final boss at the end, while has some different moves from before, is still way too similar to his first encounter. While I enjoyed the game, I sat through the credits and thought that this had to have been rushed, which is a practice never good for making video games. Developers need to take their time to make a great title, and if you rush a game out, you’re left with an experience that feels half-baked. I still enjoyed this game a ton and would highly recommend it, but it can’t hold a candle to DMC3 in my opinion, since that’s a game that had its time taken with its development and doesn’t rehash a bunch of content. Still, DMC4 is a fun time overall with satisfying combat, intricate design, amazing music, and a compelling narrative with great voice acting.

DMC4 is weird to me. For each pro there is, I would say there is a con. It's not a bad game, it's just good, not great, good. I tried playing this game and stopped very quickly. It was boring at first. Then i gave it a second chance and heres what I figured out. The story: I would say is a mix of good and great. I can't really decide. At some points it's interesting and had me excited. But some points just seemed a bit dumb and boring. The gameplay itself was fun and the combos was awesome, but camera angles brought that down. But with that all being said, this game has one major flaw. They replaced one of the greatest main characters in fiction. Dante was perfect. Then they decided to "replace" him with Nero. Don't get me wrong I like Nero. I just think he shouldn't be the new DMC main character. Dante was also done dirty. Pretty much all bosses you fight as him are repeats. It's sad. I want justice for my boy

Combat saves, repetitive, shallow COMBAT - saves the game, it's DMC. Gameplay is cool, frenetic, getting SS rank is rewarding and addictive, each character has a unique gameplay which enriches the experience. SHALLOW STORY - characters without motivation, expressionless, zero personalities and zero depth. The idea of the demonic arm is cool, but not explored at all. The idea of the dmc story is always kind of like this, but it was very shallow. REPETITIVE - Worst aspect of the game. Everything is repeated, same enemies, same maps, and same bosses. The game should have 4 different bosses and you fight them at least 3 times, because the game forces you to go back through everything you passed. LEVEL DESIGN - it's sad, you often get lost not knowing where to go, several times I backtracked the map of previous stages for no reason, 20 minutes on the mission lost. DMC normally has the idea of not making it clear where to go, in 3 it works, not in this one. Besides the ridiculous luck-based puzzles to progress. BOSS DESIGN AND COMBAT IS SAD. - Bosses and fights in DMC have to be very good. The bosses are bland and the game forces you to fight them 3 times. (SPOILER: at the end of the game after fighting all the bosses twice, for no reason you fight them all again, in dmc3 this worked because the bosses were good). Even the centipede from dmc3 wins as a boss compared to the ones in this game. POST GAME: Vergil and other characters forced me to beat the game again, but it was out of sheer hatred. Vergil's gameplay managed to hold me to beat it with him, I beat it in a day because I didn't want to spend any more time on the game unfortunately, given that DMC is a game you would like to play more than once, increasing the difficulties, but this one doesn't. The replayability experience is terrible, unfortunately. I had fun playing, because the playable characters are fun and electrifying, but at some point the lack of plot, structure, and level design takes its toll and not even the electrifying gameplay of dmc holds up and you can't wait to beat it.

Medival demonic rock styled action adventure, offers a wide range of combo and special move skills LvUp to dismembering demonic beasts in a stylish manner unique to DMC, trough linear decent areas with some platforming, secrets and action puzzles, very well integrated medival trillering mini games to survive and challanging bossfights, all in 60FPS, stunning action.

This remastered special edition of DMC 4 includes three new playable characters, an extra difficulty level and a turbo mode. Of course, this isn't remake, so it still features the recycled environments from the original. But the game still holds up well and it looks terrific. Virgil, Trish and Lady are all welcome additions with their unique combat styles. I would rate this with an 8.5 out of 10.

not bad but not the best problem is I see weird contrast lines in screen every where really distracting out side areas look bad but in side of building looks **** remastered good enough.i like being able to play as vergil from beginning hes the only one worth playing hes got the best sword combat unless you prefer gun combat then go for every one eles.does not have leaderboards which **** to unlock hard from beginning you have to buy dlc **** play through to unlock it.
