I’m not totally sold on the melding of universes that Renegades aims for, but I think the expansion as a whole offers many hours of satisfying exploration, build-crafting, and new rewards to discover. This isn’t the fundamental reinvention of Destiny that many fans seem eager for, but as a creative twist on expectation, it offers plenty of good times.

Not the revolution needed, Renegades still is a solid DLC. Both Destiny and Star Wars are artistically respected and Guardians' new toys, especially the Praxic Blade, fit nicely in Bungie's universe. More Destiny if you want some, let's hope 2026 shakes the formula a bit more.

short self-contained side story that's fun although the issues that plague the Portal are still present overall the expansion story is decent and the inspiration this clear through out

A varied, fastpaced, and fun campaign filled with new ideas, weapons, allies, and enemies. Some of my favorite Destiny content to date. It's undoubtedly Destiny and Star Wars in the best way possible. Excited to explore post-campaign content with hope the next installment can keep bringing it.

Renegades does a good job of bringing some fun back to Destiny 2 with some great campaign missions and new hub area. The Star Wars elements are close enough for you to spot the homage, but not so conspicuous as to pull you out the world of Destiny. Enjoyable while it lasts, but Bungie still need to do a lot more work to rescue the game as whole.

Destiny 2: Renegades is the definitive Star Wars homage within Destiny. Whether or not you think Destiny needed an homage to Star Wars in the form of an expansion is up to you.

What hurts Destiny 2: Renegades the most is that it is just an Episode masquerading as an Expansion. There are no new Strikes, Crucible maps, Gambit maps, and for the first time ever in any $40 expansion, no new Patrol Zone and no new Raid. On top of that, some of the most desirable loot, including the White and Purple lightsaber crystals, are held ransom in the Eververse Store. As Kylo Ren once said, "it's time to let old things die," and it's hard not to think that about Destiny 2 after The Edge of Fate and Renegades. After 2025, it's time for Bungie to take a break, regroup and finally release Destiny 3.

There's a lot to be said about destiny. Unfortunately, Bungie has decided to sell the soul of Destiny for a cool collab. Sacrificing a unique world and lore, Renegades brings out a massive issue of defacing the very storytelling that has been done over the last decade for a quick buck. Rest in peace to this monumental franchise.

Definitely the worst from Destiny, its not Star Wars its not Destiny its just something very repetitive and boring, there is one or two ok missions and after is just the same over and over again, jut dont get it, or they are really not interested in making the game staying alive or they just cant anymore, but it is strange how Bungie is doing it so bad one update agter the other. Disappointed as ive been playing this game since the start but I have to admit this will the last one for me.

All because of the mission "Fire & Ice". You're probably wondering "Is it really fair to rate the whole update 1/10 stars over 1 mission?" To which I ask; Was it fair for me to waste over 3 hours of my life on 1 mission, half of which on jump challenges and the other half on a broken boss battle?! First off, the glitches. Before I even got to this mission the game froze in the middle of missions or would just stop working, causing me to have to repeat these missions from the beginning all over again. Second off, "Fire and Ice A: The Jump Challenges". Bungie, whoever lied to you and told you "The Players REALLY love jump challenges in our FPS Looter Shooter!" Needs to be fired or made to feel pain like the rest of us do. Not 1 time while I was playing Destiny 1 or 2 did I think to myself "Yeah, shooting aliens and getting gear is cool but what I really came here to do is stand ever so slightly on an edge and make it to another tip of a mountain before falling to my death". It pauses the action, feels needlessly tedious, and shouldn't be in the middle of the story. Lastly-- the inspiration to make this post-- "Fire and Ice B: THE DISCIPLE OF HARROW". I'm convinced Bungie didn't have any solo players test this or at least give them feedback because once the boss hits a Quarter Health comes thee most frustrating, jaw droppingly abysmal fight in the franchise. The Disciple of Harrow doesn't reload, doesn't run out of ammo, just an endless stream of mini gun bullets that even rain on you before you leave spawn. On top of that, you have to brace this barrage of bullets while going on disappearing platforms to activate crystals to summon Centurions that can drop Orbs that take away his shields-- only the Devs didn't think this boss battle was enough so they made it so you have to; Activate the Crystal, Kill 1 of the 2 Taken/Barant Centurions that spawn, leave the other alive as you get the 2nd Ceystal that spawns on the other side, and kill 1 of the 2 Barant/Taken Centurions who spawned, AND DURING ALL OF THIS THE DISCIPLE OF HARROW IS SPRAYING YOU DOWN WITH BULLETS THAT CAN LITERALLY PUSH YOU OFF THESE DISAPPEARING PLATFORMS. Oh and God forbid you die during that process of Activating Crystals and killing Centurions because if you do die, the charge from the Centurion disappears and you have to do it all over again. It was tedious, asinine, and felt more like artificially making things more difficult than actually giving us a challenge. Bungie, if you're reading this; fix this boss fight, and keep in mind that a challenge isn't a matter of how we use our time, but how we use our minds.
