Demon Slayer Sweep the Board is the prime board game iteration of the series for fans. While it won’t be as welcome an experience for newcomers, it is an excellent departure from the core series. The boards are varied in stellar ways, while the minigames have great controls. The non-linear nature of the missions mean it works well no matter how you play. Whether you have a party of friends to play with or just want to compete against the CPU, it all works better than I expected. It’s just a shame the characters lack so much detail visually.

Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- Sweep the Board! offers a unique take on party board games and anime-based games in general. It’s an easy recommendation for fans of the series, but those simply seeking a truly fresh spin on a somewhat perfunctory formula should enjoy it regardless of their mastered breathing style.

Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- Sweep the Board! has a lot of potential, but it is lacking for online play right now. If you have folks to play with locally and like the IP, this will be a good purchase. The team at CyberConnect2 did a great job translating Demon Slayer to this setting, but I hope there’s more added through the year and the online is improved.

I am the target audience for Demon Slayer: Sweep The Board in that I’m both a Demon Slayer fan and the three Mario Party titles on the N64 Virtual Console on Switch are (by a significant margin) my most played titles on it. I got everything that I expected out of this game and had a lot of fun with it right throughout. In fact, with Mario Party itself in a weird kind of limbo of diminishing returns of late, perhaps we do need a new property to pick up the baton.

The core of Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- Sweep the Board! may be very familiar yet it does so many clever things with the classic party game formula that it's a very worthwhile experience for a couchful of chums, especially if you're a fan of the franchise.

It reminds us that even well-trodden paths like board games can be reinvented with creative thinking and strong thematic ties. For those who can play it in a local multiplayer setting, the game offers a chance to experience the joys and frustrations of board game dynamics enriched with a touch of anime flair.

Demon Slayer: Sweep The Board offers a delightful twist on the party game genre by infusing it with the charm and style of the Demon Slayer universe. The game is well-suited for family play, featuring a variety of mini-games that, while sometimes lacking in creativity, provide enough entertainment for casual gameplay sessions. The board game mechanics, including item use and goal achievement, add strategic depth, making each round both fun and unpredictable.

If you’re a die-hard Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba fan, you and your friends might find enough enjoyment in Demon Slayer – Sweep the Board to get you through a game or two. However, the underwhelming and forgettable minigames, glacial pace of the gameplay, and connection issues that made online play unusable for us greatly overshadowed this party game's positive points.

Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- Sweep the Board may offer a Familiar enviroment, and while you might play with fan favorite Characters from the Series, however compared to other Party Games it's not offering anything besides it's 5th and last Board. Besides that one it offers Limited Missions that you've most likely played already in prior Party Games

Seriously: the game is basically a clone of Mario Party, right down to the interaction and interface. Overall, the board is “ok” and decent, but the same cannot be said about the minigames. The fights against demons are the most innovative factor here, but they don't provide much fun due to their excessive simplicity. Furthermore, the minigames themselves are generic and don't have much to do with the anime. Very few are more thematic, but even these are of low quality and lack that originality. Therefore, it is difficult to recommend the party game version of Demon Slayer if you already have Mario Party at home. If this isn't your situation, it might be worth taking a look.
