If you value quality software, whether designed for adults or for kids, this title is your mortal enemy. It reeks of dated gameplay design ideals, loses nearly all the substance and style of the book and movie respectively, is too difficult at points for kids, and is too short for your money. Never mind the fact that if you're as unlucky as me, you'll encounter a crash bug that prevents you from completing the experience.

The best thing I can say about Coraline is that it’s not broken. It works, and just about anyone could play it from start to finish, but I don’t understand why anyone would want to.

It's too bad the play mechanics are not more engaging, especially given the potential of the Wii-motion controls. But as is, the range of mini-missions and quests you lead the precocious Coraline through will feel familiar to anyone who's played any number of average film-tied titles.

Personally tried it on emulator but get a crash at a beginning point of the game, so once i get a copy of the game i'll change my rating. Personally i think Coraline on Wii is very cool. Quite cool for kids, especially because the minigames are quite easy. --Positive Remark--
- Good Character Design
- Quite good on 3D aspect
- Is able to represent the story nicely --Negative Remark--
- Hard to get used to the motion of the Wii from what i heard
- Minigames are TOO easy, even for kids. -Neutral Or Excused Remark-
- The BAFFLING price, but understandable because not sold anymore
- Maybe script and voice acting, but honestly that project obviously didn't have a very high budget. - Conclusion
Very nice game with good graphics and storytelling, though the minigames are TOO easy for a movie like Coraline and the very high price (Average price is 150$) - 05th December 2024, will change once i own the game.

I liked the fact that there were so many mini-games that could be replayed separately from the game, but these alone cannot hold up the entire game.

Other than the three or four hours of play you'll get out of Coraline, there isn't much left to be done.

Spending a lot of time on a task can be satisfying, but it doesn’t feel that way when the big payoff is delivering a missing piece of paper to complete a fetch quest. Instead, the game manages to suck out all the wonder out of Coraline’s rich story and setting, leaving only tedium behind.

Love the movie. the game follows true to the movie. Graphic was good. Sound and voice were excellent. Gameplay are slow but good mechanic. they really tried hard to create the same feel as the movie.

The other versions of this game aren't good but the wii one I love. The graphics are good and controls are great. I wouldn't really recommend this game cause it is underrated but it is way better than the other versions.

I'll say it again... The movie is excellent, the game is one of the worst of all time. This game makes no sense, after playing it for about 5 minutes will make you think, "Why did I buy this again," or "What's going on?"
SummaryThe only videogame based on the upcoming movie, Coraline will allow players to explore and interact with such immersive 3-D environments from the movie as the Pink Palace, with its nooks and crannies and apartments, and the unpredictable Other World. Players will engage in unique mini-games and adventures with Coraline’s friends Wy... Read More
