Rivals is not the classic Command & Conquer we have been waiting for. If you are open to something somewhat less traditional, you will enjoy this competitive strategy game to the fullest.

Although Command & Conquer: Rivals is still some ways off the horror show that was Dungeon Keeper Mobile, by virtue of having a game that actually functions, it is still a major let-down.

Yes, you can still be brutalised by higher level players, but most matches don’t feel that way, and real-time strategy fans aren’t exactly spoiled for choice on mobile, making Rivals well worth trying out.

C&C Rivals is a colourful, action-packed tile-based strategy game. It may not have the best graphics or be the most technologically advanced of its type, but it excels in gameplay. It's fast-paced and forces you to make quick decisions in countering enemy forces. That brings me to my next point, which is the game's fantastic roster of both GDI and NOD units that are very creative, from the anti-air machine that is the sandstorm to the ridiculous fun I have deleting an enemy vehicle with a titan or having a rockworm take a bite out of a buggy. These units, however, are relatively early game, and there are others, such as the Avatar, MG squad, etc, that get me even more excited to progress and grind. However, the game does include a few small pitfalls. For instance, the matchmaking sometimes makes it so that you fight a player with higher-level units than you. While this is annoying, it can actually be quite fun, giving you a sense of satisfaction if those fights are won. Another pitfall I would like to address is sometimes getting repetitive cards in chests, as it can dishearten you after you thought you were going to get that mohawk after reaching the appropriate level. Overall, C&C Rivals is an absolutely fantastic mobile game combining fun gameplay, good visuals and lots and lots of creativity. Have fun and happy tiberium mining.

It is a very fun game for a mobile strategy game, with new strategies in every league and levels always coming up for new strategies just like the old games

It's a pay-to-win nightmare for new players! The new player experience is an absolute nightmare as you wait a long time in the queue in the unpopulated lower leagues. When you finally manage to climb, you'll find yourself facing off against players with higher levels or players that, unlike you, have unlocked a lot of units. You literally have to either spend thousands of dollars to be on par with players or play for over five years without a break if you want to get anywhere for free. Also, a recent balance patch has made the game significantly more boring as they boosted the base HP dramatically, punishing low-level players further as they have no way to mitigate their level disadvantage by going around the "Maginot Line," so to speak. It has taken out a unique and fast-paced playstyle that used to make the game good. On top of that, the economy got slowed down along with half the units, making the game a much slower and tedious grind. I absolutely DO NOT recommend the game in its current state.

Rivals delivers a polished and nuanced gameplay experience, with a monetization model tacked on that stands the chance of delivering a frustrating experience or feeling like the game is nudging you to open up your wallet for a smoother experience. We’ll see if it stands the test of time, but at the very least it provides a really interesting look at what RTS can do on mobile.

It might not be a ‘true’ C&C game, but it’s one of the tightest and most compelling strategy games on mobile.

Playing this game since the beta. I must admit, its a very userfriendly game, with a nice learning curve. Once you get stuck at the levels and make less progress, you could throw it, but you would miss all the fun this game unlocks for you over time. The community is mostly friendly and you get a nice competition in the mobile sector, which is the best experience you can ever have on mobile games. If it doesn't fits you, you can download bluestacks 5 and give it a try on your pc. I really love this game, and i'ts community, thats why i am giving a 10

Awesome challenging game with great player community. Would definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys mobile games. Don’t go into expecting classic C&C because it’s very different but very good different.

It is certainly different from the original series, but Command & Conquer: Rivals, taken as a title on its own, is anyway a good mobile strategic.

Rivals is by an unbelievably high margin the best mobile rts game there is. In my opinion it is also way better than a lot of PC rts games. The matches are fast paced and mainly skill based. Yes, you can buy levels but if you have no skill, you'll lose. If you don't want to pay, you can stay in leagues, matching your level cap. At the end of a season (each month) you can always take a peak into the higher league. Eventually you get levels by playing. It won't be as fast but you will learn the game this way. I've been playing this game since release. I just can't let it go, even if I'm a person who gets bored by games very quickly. Everyone giving this game a bad rating, hasn't played the game (PC master race jerks) or didn't understand the game. The last one is even worse, for the game is easy to learn and hard to master.

I'm very disappointed with this game. Boring gameplay and stupid In-app purchased ruined this game
