Clash of Elementalists may look like an interesting title, but its high difficulty and learning curve make its relatively meager offerings even less appealing. This is not a game worth spending hours becoming proficient at.

Given Clash of Elementalists's fiddly controls and dearth of content, the best thing about it is that it's mercifully short.

With Clash of Elementalists, what you see is literally what you get. While it has potential to be an interesting concept for a fighting game, the lack of playability, as well as frustrating camera and control issues, make it hard to get attached to.

The biggest obstacle this game faces for most Western players is its unusual control system and the inability to modify it. It takes some getting used to, but if you persevere it can become really entertaining. The girls are cute and have good skills and the scenarios are decent, however the content is very limited. A greater variety of characters and scenarios would have made the game much more appealing. Luckily that was partially fixed in new versions. (Switch)Focused on multiplayer, too bad not many people really know about it.

It's a Virtual On clone (down to the control layout and game mechanics lifted directly from Virtual On Oratorio Tangram on the Dreamcast)... but with only 4 characters. The graphics are pretty decent, but again, there's only 4 characters. The controls are... well, they're Oratorio Tangram's pad controls. They're not intuitive at all, but since I've played a bunch of VOOT on the DC, it was really easy to get into the groove of things. Seriously though, there's so little content here. It's a painfully barebones clone of a better game. It's really easy, too. I cranked all the settings up, max rounds, max difficulty, and still cleared the game without too much trouble, trying to eke out a little more worth. Alternate characters with slightly different moves, a boss, missions, more than four fights... pretty much anything more than what we got would have made this a bit worth picking up. It's so barebones. The graphics are okay, at least. That's it.

i personally believe that if you are a fan of hardcore action games with amazing 10K graphics than you need to play this game before you die. It has changed my life in many ways. I truly love this game.

Had a fluid, responsive, competent combat system been implemented, Clash of Elementalists could have been a solid way to kill some time here and there. However, the broken control scheme and lack of variety make this one best left alone.

SummaryClash of Elementalists has players step into the shoes of one of the four Elementalists each possessing their own superior power - fire, earth, air and water and take to the battlefields in a fight of superiority.
