A great Arena shooter, The variety of restrictions offered by the different play styles make playing just for a fun actually viable

Man, sometimes games just hit different. This game pulled me through my toughest exams. Played everything to 5. 6 is actually difficult. DLCs are coming in good enough sequences to play everything on 5 again.

It's great, infinitely replayable and addictive .

This is a fun little game where you play as a brotato, running circles around aliens and upgrading your brotato accordingly after defeating the waves. Level up for better stats and survive.

It's beyond idiotic that my build can blast through twenty waves of enemies at Tier 5 without me dying once only to be useless against the two bosses they throw at the player at the end because the developer ran out of ideas. I'll be goddamned if I force myself through another playthrough to get back to a fight that stupid, what an incredible waste my time with this game has been.

An absolute gem. Pure fun. If you are interested in something that focuses on the gameplay, look no further.

I love Brotato — I’ve purchased this game three times on different platforms: Xbox One X, Steam, and iOS! This game is incredibly addictive, simple yet absolutely genius. I play Brotato everywhere — it’s my favorite 2D game of all time. I really appreciate the addition of the co-op feature and all the new content. Easily a 10/10 — a brilliant tactical masterpiece!

brotato is a really good game its combat mechanics are really good its got good progression in terms of difficulty its character selection means that it never becomes dull plus its one of the most cheapest games you will ever buy plus its dlc is really good too rating 10/10

I tried brotato in an extremely perfect time where I was exhausted by hard games and desire a short fabulous game that feels challenging but not frustrating. It did the job well, the game don't provide you tedious instructions but it doesn't overwhelm you with a bunch of new things. In conclusion, It is good, cheap and worth a try.

really fun game,I like the variate of weapons and characters to choose from, and I love how challenging this game is, even without seeming it,I'm on danger 2 rn, I'm not very good at it yet, but this game is so simple, yet they did it so good even tho it is,Icant name a problem rn, but I dont think this game is a 10.

Pretty fun addicting rougelike, but the game is so simple that there isn't any real variety to everything, as even with the likely hundreds of options, they are in reality very similar. Like for weapons the only real variation is melee and ranged. There are tons of its own categories within those that give different set bonuses for using that class of weapon, and different weapons with some different abilities within those, but they all feel the same when you play. The game is very very very addicting, but fun wise it is pretty much the same from the get go with little actual variety.

This game is really great. It is quite simple, as you are just left in a rectangle map with survival as your only goal, but man does this simple concept allow for a fun, smooth gameplay. The weapons synergise very well with the different characters, and have their own feeling. Some characters may be too easy to beat the game with, whereas some characters really are a hard mode, but I'd say you can still enjoy the game with any character, as long as you find the appropriate build. Another thing this game does very well is shopping. Unlike some similar games, items in Brotato feel impactful and a single item can save your run, get your character to another level, or, at the complete opposite, completely ruin it. Definitely recommand this game.

Dude this game is really good, it's like Vampire Survivors, there are different classes, they have their own starting weapons, so it's a fun game

Ancak bana göre en büyük eksisi, oyunun genel olarak kolay olması. Maksimum zorluk olan 5. seviye bile yeterince zorlayıcı değil. (Sonsuz mod da var ama aynı düşmanların sadece daha güçlü hâlde tekrar tekrar gelmesi pek keyifli değil.) Kısacası, Brotato eğlenceli bir oyun ama basit zorluğu nedeniyle bir süre sonra sıkıcı hale gelebilir.

Fun game for a while. But soon becomes too repetitive. It lacks of any sense of progress. You unlock some items and characters but the lack of new maps, different enemies or zones, no story... it just feels empty and not contributing to keep playing. There's nothing explaining the game mechanincs, controls or options. You'r just thrown to the arena and learn by trial and error. There are important mechanics that I lost during a lot of time because nobody tells you about it. Also the progression it's so RNG based, if you don't have a decent roll with the items in the shop you cannot progress.

i feel like the trailers dont do this game justice. ive had the game in my library for a while but only recently started playing it but i see the draw to it now. If you like metrovania rogue lites or something similar in that regard you'll like this one for sure. Easy to understand stat modifiers, plenty of characters to unlock and play with. enough weapon variety to change play style. good progression system

Back in 'nam I was warring in guns a go go and I was going through hell but I thought to myself at least I'm not in London.This game was a severe PTSD trigger for me due to all the realism but it is very 'MERICAN so 10/10 I tell you hwhat. GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Generally a fun game in whitch I would highly recommend for gamers who are trying to have a relaxing experience.Also I would like to add that the price is fantastic for the value compared to other games.

Bland enemies and bland gameplay. The weapons and item combinations don't synergize well at all. It's so repetitive. This is the worst vampire-survivor-like game I've played.

No button pushing, just move around the screen and gain weapons and skills between levels in this rogue-like type game. Got it free this week, 11/28/24, on Epic games. Gave it a shot and lost the next 3 hours of my life. Its addictive. There really isn't much to it, you just move around and try to dodge the monsters and build your character by buying skills with the stuff that drops off the massive amount of monsters you kill. It is fun and addictive, but the downside of the game is it feels unrewarding. You don't get any rewards for beating a run really except a few different templates to try and challenge yourself, like start off with +50 range and -50 dodge and you can only use 1 weapon, or something like that. Its a fun game, but If I bought it, i'd be willing to pay a few dollars more to have some more features. But I didn't buy it, I got it for free, so I really can't complain, but feel like they have a very solid game and it could have been more. I really think its a 7.5, but I'll round up cause its fun.

Nice art style and music, but gets incredibly frustrating at higher difficulties due to the luck necessary to win. Maybe fun if you play it casually, but if you find fun in mastering the mechanics, just about every other game in the genre does it better.

It's crazy how fun a game this simple is. If you like Vampire Survivors this one is a must buy, there's so much replayability and tens of characters with perks and disadvantages.

I always liked potatoes in any form. Fried, baked, mashed... But now I'm a lover of potatoes in videogame form as well. In fact, ever since I started playing this game, I can say that my life is potato.

Might be the best game out of this genre. Alot of different characters with tons of different options to play them. New Items and new characters are provided via updates on a regular base. There are some balancing problems though. Some characters are way stronger than others and some item builds are way more broken than others. But that's not a big deal and quite normal for a game which is offering 44 characters, 33 weapons and over 150 items. Nonetheless for just 5€ (or even cheaper in a sale) it's a must have for fans of wave survivor/roguelike games.

Brotato is one of my favourite games of 2022. It is so much fun trying to collect all of the achievements and beating danger level 5 on every character. This game has so much content for such a cheap price, so it is basically a no brainer to pick up this indie gem.

Well, the game is fun, no question, but these long-distance fighters are absolutely over the top. Unfortunately, there is no progress here either. You almost always start from 0. No skill tree, no runes, nothing.

Best Survivor/Auto-Battler so far. Amazing balanced. Nice Chars nice Items. Good Potion of Luck. Only 5€ for 300 hours of fun.

If you like rogue lite games, don't forget to check out this one, It's already good and I'm sure it will get better.

GreppoTV Games Review in 100 Wörtern Brotato ist ein Arena-Shooter-Roguelite, bei dem man sich als Kartoffel durch Alien-Gegenerwellen kämpft. Man steuert dabei nur den Laufweg des Kartoffel-Rambos, die Waffen schießen automatisch. Das eigentlich Spannende im Spiel passiert aber zwischen den Runden. Mit dem Geld, das ihr durch das Erledigen der Gegner einnehmt, lässt sich euer Charakter aufleveln und ausrüsten. Dieses macht wegen der variablen Möglichkeiten extrem viel Spaß. Es gibt Dutzende von Charakteren mit unterschiedlichen Perks, zahllose Waffen, diverse Build-Möglichkeiten und sechs verschiedenen Schwierigkeitsgraden. Wegen der kurzen Spiel-Durchläufe von maximal 30 Minuten und der variablen Builds ist die Wiederspielwert enorm. Eine geniale Spielidee mit hohem Suchtfaktor. 9/10 - GreppoTV
