It is definitely lacking in the accuracy department and suffers from the same style of tactics working time and time again, with the AI never seeming to learn, which will spoil it for more experienced RTS players. But hey, if Blitzkrieg 2 lit your fuel depot then this expansion certainly won’t douse the fire; it just fails to recruit the necessary reinforcements to entice in new players.

An expansion for the fans - it does little new, actually, it does nothing new, sticking to the traditions of expansion pack history.

Wise WW2 strategy gamers will stick with "Company of Heroes" and "Faces of War" for the moment.

My biggest gripe with this game is the unit stats, the IS-2 is what killed it for me, it simply did not have armor thicker than a Pz-V and Tiger 1. It's guns were no better either, though designed to counter the German heavy tanks, the IS-2's were slow at reloading and were often ineffective. Also, the Panther tank was not thicker or stronger than the Tiger 1, which the developers seemed to have the erroneous idea of. Nival has always been brutal in their expansions (though if you have an IQ above 100 and willpower higher than an ant you should do fine.) Scout with aricraft, lure with infantry, clear heavy guns with artillery, and always micro-manage your tanks, face them always 90° to the enemy, never linger around infantry or heavy bombardment and you should do fine. Overall I enjoyed the experience, it's as tactical as 'Fields of Thunder'.

A fairly run of the mill expansion pack that offers few new incentives in terms of missions or units, and it’s not something for every WWII RTS gamer to snatch up.

We're not entirely sure that anyone other than the hardest of the hardcore Blitzkrieg fans are going to enjoy this one. The lack of variety among the missions and the incredibly unforgiving difficulty level make it unapproachable for all but the series' most ardent followers.

For being an expansion, the developers didn’t focus on providing new units or game modes. Blitzkrieg II: Fall of the Reich is catered to the fans of the series and is one last hoorah for them.

A series that increasingly looks stuck in the past. [Jan 2007, p.77]

In short, Blitzkrieg II just doesn't cut the mustard. [May 2007, p.66]

It’s difficult in a mean, nasty way. I’m sure there are some people out there who are up for a challenge like this. Those people are idiots who have no life. If you really like to be punished this much, I recommend checking out your local S&M bar. You’ll likely find the developers of this game there holding a whip with your name on it.
