While its game play is good, its graphics and sound are unsurpassed.

It’s fresh that you don’t have to search for stuff to hit, but not-so-fresh that you have to wrestle with sluggish controls in order to do it. [Jan 2002, p.94]

Not only the best snowboarding game to date, but one of the better games out right now for any system. With its amazing graphics, good sound and unbelievable gameplay, Amped will keep you busy for a long long time.

The first snowboarding instance of Box turned out to be very outdated in fact, to be honest. A very annoying interface design, the musical range is very random pop-rock of the early 2000s, and most importantly, in addition to the fact that the notorious power and graphics of Boxing look weak here, to put it mildly, new mountains with tests open only when you gain a lot of points for freestyling. And taking into account the fact that the Persian is not pumped and always falls to the fifth point, somehow I don’t really want to replay the same section. I don't recommend it in general. Glory to Ukraine!

Amped: Freestyle Snowboarding is the first entry to a cool but short-lived series. Pretty sad, because especially this first part is a great sports game. The cool graphics and soundtrack perfectly merge with the hard and realistic gameplay. True fun!

If you prefer realism to fantasy, you will be more than happy with Amped. At a measly 20 bucks, this game is a steal. I will mention once again though: this game is very unforgiving.

With the open air feel of the levels, the breathtaking coolness of sliding through powder, and the breezy sound effects and in-game chatter, and you've got yourself the gaming equivalent of sitting in the hot tub after a long day on the slopes.

A solid, enjoyable snowboarder with a fairly high difficulty factor and lots of gameplay.

While its game play is good, its graphics and sound are unsurpassed.

While Amped is visually impressive and loaded with options, its technical merits are drastically undermined by its shoddy gameplay.
58
It’s fun in small doses, but frustrating whenever you try to get into it.
