An awesome game. Though it has to be said: it’s actually several games rolled into one. I just loved that variety—please, more games like this.

Extremely boring overall, which is a shame because some parts are very fun and interesting. Voice acting is terrible (AI ?). Graphics are dated. Tedious chores liek feeding the carlt and unboxing your deliveries between the segments, totally useless and kills the flow...

Corpo a corpo duro, gunplay fraca.

O elenco é conhecido e conta com grandes nomes, como Ricardo Juarez (God of War), Cassius Romero (Assassin’s Creed), Fábio Azevedo (Days Gone, Dying Light), Luiza Caspary (The Last of Us), entre outros.

In a world where the electronics industry seems on the verge of collapse due to a DRAM shortage caused by the over-reliance on artificial intelligence research and development and the companies consuming it, Brazilian developer Pulsatrix Studios, in collaboration with publisher Fireshine Games, released A.I.L.A., a horror game where, as beta testers, we tried out a virtual reality gaming platform controlled by AI. Pretty meta, right?

The central conceit of the story of this game completely falls apart by the end, and the story is an unsatisfying mess that really loses focus and has nothing meaningful to say about its subject matter. Additionally, having a game that is solely about the evils of AI having so much genAI art, assets, and voice used in it feels tonedeaf and wildly hypocritical.

"A.I.L.A." is a delightful surprise among Brazilian games: striking visuals, an immersive soundtrack, and a story that hooks you from start to finish. The gameplay is fluid, full of intense moments and interesting choices, showing great care from the developers.

Just finished, so this is definitely the kind of game that has one interesting idea and not really much else. Combat is clunky and slow, enemies aren't difficult or need much strategy instead they have way too much health. So don't expect to be challenged by anything other than the game over staying its welcome. The sound design is very funny, sounds will just cut out after a while because the loop will end. The story is kind of just there but not particularly interesting, also, why would the only genre being playtested be horror? I think that's what held this game back for me the most, every game is a basic first person horror game. They could have made it more varied and introduced the horror elements into less obvious genres that would have pushed it over the edge and made this game something special.

AILA really surprised me. Each stage feels like a completely different kind of horror game, and in a good way. You'll naturally click with some more than others. For me, there was one section that had a strong P.T. feeling and genuinely messed with my sense of direction, in a good way. It was weird, liminal, and very memorable. I'm sure other people will prefer other parts of the game and that's great. One thing I appreciated a lot is that the game does not rely on jumpscares. The horror comes from atmosphere and ideas instead of sudden cheap tactics, which already makes it stand out from a bunch of games in the genre. There are a few, but they are "fair" and you'll start to like them... I don't want to spoil too much, but let's say you'll make an unexpected friend along the way. Between the VR scenarios, you return to the apartment segments. In most games, this kind of downtime feels like a chore, like stepping out of the Animus in Assassin's Creed. I expected the same here, but these sections actually became some of my favorites. They quickly show themselves interesting, so the pacing for it is also surprisingly on point. Combat can feel a little rough at first, but it feels somewhat intentional. It makes you feel vulnerable. Without spoiling anything, if a specific encounter feels unfair, it is probably because you missed something. Enemy animations, attack tells and other things you might find are clearer than they seem at first. I still think they are on the difficult side, though; I wouldn't feel bad in solving some encounters first try, as I was already having horror game tension-fun, if that makes sense. The game also has multiple endings, and the nice part is that they all feel meaningful. This is not one of those games with one "true" ending and several weak ones. The ending I got made sense for how I played. I then watched the others and they were all solid. Of course, there are better endings and they are awesome; they wrap up the game in different and meaningful ways. Oh yeah, and you can pet the cat.

A.I.L.A is a good horror game, with a good story, and you realize that it was made with love, the world and the setting are also very well done. But it sins in some aspects, generic enemies and a mediocre combat harm the experience too much, not to mention one of the worst Boss fights I've ever seen, so my final grade is a 8, it could have been better in some aspects, but overall it’s a good game.

A.I.L.A. has moments of solid atmosphere and a promising premise, but the final execution is marked by numerous narrative failures, lack of curation, and design decisions that sabotage its own proposal. The biggest problem is the constant rupture of narrative and mechanical coherence. The game promises agency (“don’t let A.I.L.A. become suspicious”), but does not deliver real systems that support this. The mission exists as text, not as gameplay. There is no suspicion mechanic, no measurable consequences, and no concrete choices. The result is a recurring sense of “it doesn’t matter,” where decisions are presented as important but do not translate into clear changes in the world, in the relationship with the AI, or in the outcomes. This same flaw repeats itself in the Karma system. The game signals karma reduction and consequences for specific actions, but does not provide enough feedback for the player to understand how this system works. There is no consistent moral axis, no legible criteria, and no clear causal relationship between choices and results. Reaching multiple endings becomes a lottery. Even after achieving some outcomes, it remains very difficult to understand how to access most of them or what the game considers better or worse. A morality system without minimal transparency does not create depth; it creates frustrating opacity. The simulation structure, which could have been the heart of the game, suffers from serious curation problems. In several sequences, the feeling is one of reference collage without an understanding of what made those references work. There are encounters and setpieces that directly recall well known games, but without the tension building that would justify their existence. In combat and pacing, the game also sabotages itself with poorly functional decisions. Resource distribution does not align with level design, for example items intended for stealth eliminations in a game that rarely offers real stealth situations, since enemies often appear suddenly right in front of the player. This creates the impression of mechanics that were planned and abandoned, or implemented without integration. There are also UX choices that worsen the experience in avoidable ways. Requiring the player to hold L3 to run while moving the analog stick is a bad and outdated decision. Beyond being uncomfortable, it increases wear on a component already known to be fragile. This is not a minor detail. It is constant physical friction, especially in a game that already relies on tension and frequent movement. The weakest point, however, is the lack of tonal maturity in key moments. The medieval arc is the most explicit example. Narratively and visually, it breaks the immersion pact. The game resorts to shallow clichés, such as a king pointing at “the witch in the swamp” and catacombs as a lazy shortcut, contradicts its own dialogue with incoherent events, such as promising a painful path followed by an empty stretch, and ends with a confrontation lacking density, reduced to a few simple actions, with no relevant mechanics and no psychological payoff. What should have been a symbolic investigation of violence, power, and guilt becomes a segment that feels like a draft, with indecisive creative direction and minimal execution. The arcs also expose the worst use of culture and humor in the game. Instead of contextualized and reimagined references, A.I.L.A. frequently resorts to extremely literal local insertions, in jokes, and juvenile wordplay that do not expand the narrative. They simply date the game and destroy any ambition of universality. Cultural reference is not the problem. The problem is the lack of aesthetic responsibility. When a work calls for psychological horror and delivers sketch humor and obvious winks, it does not add a layer; it degrades its own discourse. Finally, there is a conceptual dissonance that is hard to ignore. The work abandons the idea of AI as an impersonal and efficient system and starts treating it as a deliberately cruel and sadistic entity. This not only impoverishes the conflict but also contradicts the very logic of a functional AI. Performative cruelty is human, not systemic, and it weakens the terror the game could have drawn from indifference, protocol, and cold punishment. Gutting a cat plus a villainous laugh destroys everything and turns the AI into a slasher villain, a generic psychopath, a caricature that is unmistakably human. In the end, A.I.L.A. seems less interested in sustaining its original idea, AI as an impersonal system, surveillance, and consequence, and more interested in overwhelming the player with shocks, caricatures, and disconnected setpieces. The result is a game with isolated moments of atmosphere, but an overall experience marked by inconsistency, opacity, and lack of curation.

A wonderful game that makes me pause the giant Silent Hill F for now; this feat is for the few. Congratulations to Studio Pulsatrix for creating this marvelous game. The game has some bugs that confused me, but in other aspects it's the studio's definitive game.

Some weird favouritism seems to pop on those 10 notes. Don't be fooled by it. The game is far from a 7 and apparently the moob mentality is trying to push more than ****'sa descent game, but clearly trying to cheat on the scores. Trust the Metascore.

Interesting ideas and cool atmosphere, but A.I.L.A. feels rough around the edges right now. The pacing is uneven, some encounters are more frustrating than fun, and the controls never quite clicked for me. There’s potential here, but it needs more polish.

A.I.L.A. is one of those games that surprises you within the first few minutes and keeps impressing you all the way to the end. What stands out the most is how it blends atmosphere, storytelling, and clever mechanics to create a truly engaging experience. Every environment feels alive, detailed, and purposefully designed, reinforcing the sense that the player is exploring a deep world full of mysteries and hidden meanings.

A.I.L.A stands as definitive proof of Brazilian mastery in the survival horror genre. Set against the backdrop of a suffocating, futuristic São Paulo, the game boasts sound design that gives a masterclass in weaponizing silence to instill dread. While the combat mechanics are simple and somewhat limited, Pulsatrix Studio delivers a deeply immersive and thought-provoking experience. Ultimately, it is a mandatory psychological journey full of technology, mystery, and terror.

A.I.L.A. is a burst of creativity in the horror genre. It blends psychological dread, sci-fi elements, and wildly distinct scenarios without ever losing its identity. The atmosphere is dense, the art direction is striking, and the constant sense of “what comes next?” keeps you fully engaged. Even with a few bumps in the combat, the game shines where it matters most: world-building, storytelling, and sheer imagination. It’s an ambitious, distinctive experience that clearly showcases the talent and boldness of its creators.

AILA stands out as a thoughtfully crafted and emotionally resonant experience, demonstrating a level of artistic maturity that’s rare in the indie scene. Its strongest achievement lies in the atmosphere: every visual choice, environmental detail, and piece of sound design works together to create a world that feels alive, haunting, and deeply immersive. A.I.L.A is a genuinely impressive surprise in the first-person horror **** game delivers a tense atmosphere, strong art direction, and a very creative use of the idea of a “beta tester” trapped inside an AI that generates terrifying experiences. The vibe is heavy without relying solely on jumpscares, and the narrative keeps you hooked the entire time.Performance is solid, the sound design is fantastic, and the blend of sci-fi with psychological horror works incredibly well. It’s one of those games you start “just to try it out” and suddenly you’re fully immersed, wanting to uncover every detail of the **** fans of smart, immersive horror, A.I.L.A easily stands as one of the best recent releases in the genre.

The game has a good start, a very intriguing premise, and impressive graphics. But it all fell shortly after when you actually get to play it. The game design choices are poor, some even nonsensical. They try too hard to mimic and reference other classic games, but every attempt just showcases how poorly executed it is: combat, boss fights, and cinematics are all so clunky and contrast with the high-fidelity graphics. They basically created moments when you feel like you could spend your time better just by playing the original games they are referencing; that's how bad things are. In summary, everything that makes a game "a GAME" is bad here. It's as if Capcom started a new Resident Evil game, focusing on the graphics and environment first, and then went bankrupt and had to wrap it up with asset-flipping mechanics and Fiverr freelancers.

A.I.L.A. starts with a strong premise, decent pacing, and genuinely engaging early moments, but everything quickly falls apart. The lack of polish is glaring, the combat is atrocious, and the wildly unbalanced mechanics destroy any sense of progression. After the second experience, the pacing collapses, the world has no binding coherence, and the ending drags being just way too pretencious. The horrific optimization (if that was even a thing) and bug issues makes CP2077 release looks ok and the 'low' preset is a bad joke. What begins with promise ends as absolute garbage and the studio is ready to be consider AAA industry in terms of bad police and lack of polish. One point for the not terrible start.

AILA is full of details, homages, and **** truly feels like a love letter to horror.I've followed the game since the press releases and interviews, and it's inspiring to see the potential of Brazilian developers materializing into something so **** fact that it's a national game and so competent is a source of pride.AILA is beautiful, disturbing, and extremely immersive.AILA is highly recommended for those who love horror, puzzles, and psychological tension.Despite confusing hand-to-hand combat and lengthy boss fights, the game is a landmark for Brazil on the world stage. With a fair price and a rare level of care, AILA is a unique experience.Play it, talk about it, and support Pulsatrix — a studio that deserves to grow and take Brazilian horror to the top.
