Ultimately, Agefield High: Rock the School falls far short of being the spiritual successor that Bully fans have been hoping for. Refugium Games manages to create a charming setting that pays tribute to classic 2000s teen movies, delivering good humor and a wide variety of mission ideas. However, the disastrous execution of its basic mechanics ruins any chance of fun. It is a title that tries to embrace too much, but fails at the fundamentals and ends up failing the course with flying colors.

I was excited for this game and it was very disapointing. The fact that you couldn't really choose much was such a turn off for me. I thought maybe you could choose your friends and path, it seemed to direct you on all of that. The combat was very weak, especially for a game in 2026. The graphics were ok, nothing great, and the character design was not great either. I get they were going for a saved by the bell era vibe and claimed it was raunchy. You were in a group of nerdy pervs and were forced to do things that were just kind of lame. Zack Morris would have had some great 1 liners and American pie would have made you laugh. I didn't laugh, not once. Felt kind of sad TBH

I had high hopes for this game, even after seeing its negative reviews on Steam. Sadly, a few hours in and I realised the game was an unenjoyable, buggy grind. I can see past the terrible voice acting and non-existent facial animations. But the bugs and glitches are something else. The bike is hard to ride - I ended up stuck on top of a wall at one point. Missions unlock at specific times of day but are miles away across the map and it takes forever to get anywhere. The bike is SLOW if you take a shortcut across grass. Missions aren't especially exciting and combat is laggy and broken - so disappointing. For some reason it stayed Tuesday for 2 days! I can't recommend this - it plays like a very early beta test or (if I'm being generous) an early access title but it's NOT ready to be released at over £20 in its current state. I never refund games, but I got a refund for this. Sad, because I was excited for the potential and it could have been really great! Hope they'll work on the bugs and it might improve.

Agefield High attempts to channel the irreverent energy of classic adolescent comedies, yet it stumbles through a disastrous execution. Clunky combat and broken stealth mechanics make the gameplay a chore, while pervasive technical issues and amateurish design choices transform this intended homage into a pale, unplayable imitation of the Rockstar masterpiece.

Whether it’s bad on purpose or just plain bad, it’s clear to anyone with eyes, ears, or hands that Agefield High: Rock the School! is a bad product. From a visual identity that both confuses and revolts to a gameplay loop that prevents itself from ever being enjoyable, everything about this game screams inadequacy—though it notably doesn’t scream lack of effort. If the game had more time to cook, say another decade or so, perhaps it would’ve been a passable homage to one of gaming’s most iconic coming-of-age titles. As it is now, though, it’s an unplayable, unlovable, unappreciable mess I’d rather forget than remember.

Agefield High: Rock the School is no doubt a bold undertaking, attempting to create a spiritual successor to Bully. But the developers at Refugium Games have clearly bitten off more than they can chew, and it fails at virtually every hurdle. There could be a good game here, the framework is in place, but it needs a serious revamp to get there.

Agefield High: Rock The School falls woefully short of the expectations it once created. Anyone hoping Refugium Games had the talent to deliver a proper Bully-style experience can go ahead and dump that hope straight into the trashcan. The game is a virtually unplayable, broken mess.

I understand that a game being this bad and broken may be alluring to some people, but I can guarantee you it’s not worth it – not at the surprisingly high price the game is being sold at now, and not even if the game were being sold at a deep discount. There’s not a single point to be made in the game’s favour, and if it were to be nuked from space and erased from existence the world would be a slightly better place.

I've been gaming since the late 1970s. I have played literally thousands of games over the years, and there were several stinkers in the bunch. While Agefield is not the worst game I've ever played (that honor belongs to Funko Fusion), it's in the top 5 worst. The game is a total scam as it is full of reused assets, horrific voice acting (one of the actors even admitted he was never paid, was encouraged to write his own dialogue, had never done voice work before, and had zero direction when recording), the writing is beyond horrendous and ridiculously juvenile (and no devs, I'm not offended by anything except crap work), I could go on and on, but just stay away unless you like flushing money down the toilet.
