Nice roguelike with cool gunplay and some fun abilities. Unfortunately, it just doesn't offer enough novelties and does not reinvent any aspect of genre. This results in repetition quite fast and random chance was guiding most of my game sessions, sadly. The unlockables are not as interesting as they should be and metaprogression feels rather slow and all runs essentially start at the exact same place, so it never feels like I was gaining power or abilities during my last playsesssions. There is no story, no real quests or interesting objectives that could have spiced up the monotony of the gunplay. I was the progression system was a bit more interesting and engaging.

It's a very boring game and deeply unsatisfying. The enemies rack up health exponentially. In the first level you can kill an enemy with 20-40 bullets (BTW your gun each clip has 40 bullets). within 2 levels they have like 100 health. And soon they have 1000 health. And pretty soon it feels like they've got like 5k-50k health. I'm emptying clip after clip and they simply don't die. It takes like 500 bullets (10 clips) to kill off 1 minion. Boss takes like 50 clips. Worst shooter I've ever played!

Journeying into uncharted depths, Abyssus lets you obliterate enemies lurking in the depths of sunken ruins, offering a solid selection of weapons and blessings to enhance your power. On the surface, the game showcases some impressive features. However, it could benefit from further tuning in terms of player scaling and latency issues in multiplayer.
