the sequel is just so over the top bad. extremely forgettable. nonexistant action if not boring. weak fight choreography. bad special effects. weird cinematography. the first was so much better. steve trevor and diana's dynamic carried the first for most of its runtime. the first movie was pretty good for most of its runtime and then downhill near the end, This movie is downhill from the opening scene where they totally "ignored" established scenes from the first movie. ww84 is just peak nonsensical mediocrity.

another disappointing soulless remake with half-hearted nods to the nostalgia of the much better animated original for its emotional beats. weak superhero-esque splendor trying to be something empowering yet ending up lazy and hollow. a movie with jarring editing trying to be more realistic yet has a unrealistic wooden protagonist with little depth and literal superpowers. I find it hard to imagine anyone who can relate to a magical person born with extraordinary unearthly talent far superior than their peers, whos main struggle is to just use their potential. Not learning to get better, not working or training, but to not hold back their physical prowess. This internal struggle of a demigod is sadly not even that well executed of a journey. if this being is so powerful why does another equally powerful shapeshifter need to sacrifice themselves against a measly arrow. makes no sense. donnie yen's character was also the only one who looked like they could actually fight. I was so excited and hopeful after seeing the trailer, but this lacks the spirit and emotion that was so integral to the animated version. ex the decision to take the place of her father was such a powerful moment in the original, but in the modern remake it just happens. so many things "just happen" for the sake of happening. This movie is virtually inferior in every aspect when compared to the og. watered down, "safe", and sad.

Live action remake that was on the very edge of providing a magical experience. Just didn't provide enough spectacle, especially during the whole new world bit. While the music and vocals were superb, the visuals were subpar, the original animation provided a much better journey through a whole new world. I also don't understand why they didn't cast a older actor as jafar. seems pretty ageist bc they didnt want to deal with whatever issues that would arise with that casting.

Funny, excellent fight scenes, a cartoonish classic. the cgi is very dated but hardly affects the quality of the film

A clever movie with a very interesting plot. Really nice. Felt like almost everybody pretty much sowed what they reaped. A little too meta about the current world but pretty great nonetheless.

I don't get the hype. It was a pretty alright movie carried on its back by its actors performances but the movie didn't blow me away like the reviews seemed to indicate. A little weird but realistic. I felt like it was on the cusp of being pretty good, just not quite there.

One of the better marvel movies with a decent villain that is killmonger. What really bothers me about this film is that for something of this scale and recognition to have such actual garbage cgi is incredibly baffling. It actually looks so bad.

really most of these "solo" movies are somewhat passable on their own, but this one is especially bad. the main thing that really saves this franchise is the ensemble of character interactions, its continuity throughout all the films, and its culmination in the absolute monument that is the infinity saga.

An interesting film that shows the unsettling journey of a downtrodden clown that society that failed and yet enabled.

A great movie about how a man sticks to his morals and tries his best to not deviate from them. Really touching and inspirational, an immersive experience full of heart.

While initially very interesting with great performances it drags on way too long with such a cluster of stuff to deal with.

Probably one of Will Smith's best serious performances. Jaden's performance was also pretty good for being such a young adolescent. An emotional ride about how a talented and well intentioned Gardner persevered and succeeded in the face severe hardship. Inspirational.

A colorful musical with a nice message. I thought it was pretty dreamy and great.

A beautiful journey. Poignant and resonant with wonderful twists. Somewhat cheesy in the sense that love overcomes destiny with such yearning. But that concept was done so well done that it felt so genuine and believable. A wonderful soundtrack that perfectly bolsters the performances and story extremely well not to mention the outstanding animation. Simply wonderful in almost all aspects. A top contender in its genre.

while barely passable on its own, as part **** universe and narrative the blatant and nonsensical disrespect for characters is absolutely appalling. an uninteresting conflict and fruitless fetch quests slog the movie. unbelievable in the sense that the adult experienced heroes have 0 sense of communication. a pointless disappointment.

breathtaking visuals, stellar music, a fun movie for those things alone. like shinkai's other films it borrows alot from those that came before. while the story was a bit unfocused and a little juvenile it was still an entertaining ride. Not as engaging narrative-wise compared to your name but kind of makes up for it on the technical side.

just a great movie all around, funny yet sad at times, really puts you through a range of emotions. A unique art style, simply amazing animation and voice acting.

really nice movie, traversing through the lives of the march family was a really lovely and entertaining ride. the performance from saoirse ronan was especially top notch. bob odenkirk's appearance was a bit jarring tho.

the last jedi filled the universe with too much garbage to get rid of and this was just an even bigger ****
