Amazing premise, amazing casting. I loved the twists and tension that built up. A new favourite for me!

Turning Red8
Mar 23, 2022
Very different to the usual Pixar venture, however I think this was needed. A great early 2000's throwback and honest portrayal of teenagehood.

The Batman9
Mar 23, 2022
Despite the long run-time, it keeps the audience engaged with mystery and twists. Also a great introduction to a new Gotham and Robert Pattinson as Batman.

A funny and heart-warming story which made my heart all warm inside and not too teary.

A fun adventure and great adaptation from the video game into a film 'franchise'?

There was tension and scare but something missing. May not be the sequel everyone hoped for.

This might be one of the worst films I've ever watched - very inconsistent and confusing

This was a lovely watch, more for the unlikely friendship compared to the romance

I wrote a review for this on Screen Queens, but overall just something average to pass the time, not really anything new for the genre

Blumhouse's Fantasy Island5
Jun 1, 2020
This reminded me very much of Truth or Dare. It is a bad film but still enjoyable enough to watch once.

Emma.7
Jun 1, 2020
It is the second best adaption of the story - Clueless being the first - and I had a great time watching this.

All the Bright Places5
Jun 1, 2020
It does not earn the places it goes because it does not develop its characters, especially when it comes to Finch. Its love story is a poor, chemistry-less imitation of better love stories, serving no end purpose other than to romanticise and trivialize mental health

To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You7
Jun 1, 2020
I am a **** for these kinds of films, this was not as strong as the first but still a fun ride. Sadly, I did find myself disliking characters that I liked prior.

Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)8
Jun 1, 2020
This film is so much fun, and takes Harley Quinn and gives her the movie she deserves. It has some moments that are cringe worthy but overall enjoyable

Horse Girl3
Jun 1, 2020
This film tried so hard to be quirky but it was just a nightmare. The first act was good but anything that came after that did not make sense at all.

I can’t get over it, such flawless filmmaking. The suspense killed me. A perfect balance of thrills, humour and complexity.

A Star Is Born8
Oct 23, 2018
The first half an hour was amazing, this including the performance of ‘Shallow’ which have me major goosebumps. This film was an emotional journey. Lady Gaga is such a talented singer, just in case you didn’t know that already.

Not enough Jon Hamm. This film means well and could have been really great but scene were very hit and miss.

Eighth Grade8
Oct 23, 2018
This has to be the most stressful and real middle school movie I’ve ever watched. It’s this generations coming of age story. Gucci.

First Man10
Oct 23, 2018
Honestly, one of the best films I’ve ever watched. It was captivating and it was m but kept it real and authentic though the movie. Ryan Gosling’s performance was perfect.

Venom5
Oct 23, 2018
It was okay. The acting was very cardboard, questionable CGI and green screen. But the humour made up for some of these mistakes.

Crazy Rich Asians7
Oct 23, 2018
This film was really good but it made me feel so poor. This is gonna be a timeless rom-com.

The House with a Clock in Its Walls7

Eli Roth made a really enjoyable kids horror movie. Jack Black is amazing, as always.

A Simple Favor7
Oct 23, 2018
This exceeded my expectations, and managed to be a thriller within a comedy. Blake Lively was incredible!
Sep 25, 2018
The Land of Steady Habits6
Sep 25, 2018
This film did a good job of presenting real, relatable topics in adult life. But it fell flat every now and then, so didn't quote do it for me. A decent watch.
Sep 13, 2018
BlacKkKlansman9
Sep 13, 2018
BlacKkKlansman was politcal without views being shoved down your through, and it was real. This was so good at representing a true story but also making it fun to watch. Adam Driver was excellent.
Sep 13, 2018
Sierra Burgess Is a Loser5
Sep 13, 2018
I have a very mixed opinion on this film. The title character, Sierra Burgess, isn't the most likeable character and carries very problematic traits. But this is better than some other netflix rom-coms but does fall flat at times. I did enjoy Noah Centineo, despite him playing the type cast teen, he did a great job.
Sep 13, 2018
The Nun5
Sep 13, 2018
For a film titled 'The Nun', the Nun was not actually in the film that much. This film had a fair share of jump scares but had flaws regarding plot and characters.

Braven6
Sep 6, 2018
Jason Momoma? Good. Jason Momoma fighting? Very good. The Plot? It was alright. The cinematography? Nice. Jason Momoa walking through the snow? Good but cold.

Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again7
Sep 6, 2018
This would have got a higher review if it was just a prequel. I really enjoyed this movie, the ABBA music won my heart, but it was slightly cringe with much older Colin Firth and co. Lily James easily stole the show with her dancing, singing and acting performance.
Sep 6, 2018
Terminal3
Sep 6, 2018
I'm not sure what to say about this 'movie'. The noir style was nice but under all of the neon lights was.. nothing really. I found myself not really understanding the plot, finding it boring. A snooze fest. It was a nice surprise seeing Mike Myers!
Sep 6, 2018
Christopher Robin8
Sep 6, 2018
A fantastic live action adaption of the Winnie The Pooh characters, with Ewan McGregor performing as a grown up Christopher Robin. A lovely, charming, at times emotional story and goes far deeper than honey and Tiger.
Sep 6, 2018
To All the Boys I've Loved Before7
Sep 6, 2018
A very cute, wholesome romantic comedy. Better than some I've seen recently, and is actually original!
Sep 6, 2018
The Meg6
Sep 6, 2018
This film is an ode to b-rated shark flicks. It's not going to be the next Jaws but it is fun for what it is.
Sep 6, 2018
Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation7
Sep 6, 2018
Definitely the best of the three, great animation and enjoyable for both children and adults.
Sep 6, 2018
Ant-Man and the Wasp8
Sep 6, 2018
This is the comic relief we needed after Marvel hit us with Infinity War. This was a charming, fun movie which I enjoyed far more than the first Ant-Man instalment.
Sep 6, 2018
Mission: Impossible – Fallout9
Sep 6, 2018
The ultimate action summer block buster that I urge everyone to see. Even if you haven't seen the previous MI movies, it is easy to follow on to this. I loved this so much, the action scene did not drag and the cinematography was so beautiful.
Sep 6, 2018
Incredibles 27
Sep 6, 2018
Not as incredible as the first, but still stands as a good film from Pixar. The Incredibles was never a favourite of mine when I was a kid but in my 20's is far better. This one.. didn't give me the same feeling. Both my friends were laughing throughout. Did I miss something?
Jul 9, 2018
The First Purge5
Jul 9, 2018
I understand why they made a Purge prequel, it was interesting to see how it came to be. As predicted, it was politically driven. But the film itself was pretty dull and didn't remain interesting.
Jul 2, 2018
Hereditary9
Jul 2, 2018
A good modern day horror that doesn't rely on jump scares? That is Hereditary. This gives off the true atmosphere and feeling of a older horror classic, such as The Shining. It uses cinematography in a creative way, while also making scares from sound and visual aspects. I really found myself at the edge of my seat, gasping during this film and it created so many questions and made me feel genuinely shocked. I found myself linking back parts of the story to things I saw earlier one which weren't too obvious before. I highly recommend checking this out. In a world full of 'horror' films like Truth or Dare and Unfriended, watch Hereditary.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom7
Jun 26, 2018
I can't help but enjoy these films, despite their fair share of problems. I just keep getting emotional over CGI dinosaurs.
Jun 13, 2018
Social Animals6
Jun 13, 2018
I am a total **** for these 'quirky indie rom coms' starring Noel Wells. it was nice seeing Carly Chaikin in a comedic role since I've only ever seen her before in Mr. Robot. This wasn't exactly good, it was pretty messy in places but I still hot enjoyment out of it and that is all I can really ask for from a film like this. Noel Wells is great and I can't wait to see what else she comes out with.

Jun 13, 2018
Not your regular coming of age story. Zoey Deutch is fantastic without even trying. Not the best ending though.
Jun 6, 2018
Solo: A Star Wars Story7
Jun 6, 2018
It isn't the terrible Star Wars spin-off we all expected, especially with the change in directors and rumours of the main actors needing coaching. I thought this was enjoyable, not too much fan service as well (compared to Rogue One!) which was nice. I was really impressed with this, some fantastic performances from Donald Glover, Woody Harrelson, and (surprisingly) from Alden Ehrenreich. It turns out he can play a pretty good young Solo. I will advice it had a share of issues and cringey moments. I didn't like the droid aka Lando's girlfriend.. but it is enjoyable!

Show Dogs1
May 30, 2018
It's the modern day 'Cats and Dogs', expect that fact that it's not that funny and is not memorable in any sense/ the only scene that will be engraved into my memory forever, is the Dirty Dancing dream.
May 18, 2018
Deadpool 26
May 18, 2018
I wanted to like this, as I love the first Deadpool movie! But this wasn't as enjoyable as I had hoped. I guess I should start by saying that I did find some parts funny and I really liked Cable. However the plot was a mess and fairly dull. I'm aware that the plot isn't a big factor and it is more about the humour but I found many jokes fell flat for me. The first half in particular was fairly boring but I enjoyed the second half far more, and THAT cameo. Overall, Deadpool 2 isn't a flop but it doesn't come close to how good the first film was. I hope they deliver something better for the third instalment.

Avengers: Infinity War10
May 1, 2018
The perfect villain. He has no idea that what he is doing is bad, which makes him an interesting character to look into. Otherwise, the crossover in this movie is done so well. It would be great if this is how it ended.

Dude2

It was okay. Very forced stereotype of 2018 teenagers / young adults that I really hate but seems to be represented in film nowadays
