The storyline is your typical cheesy teen horror film, but it does actually have a unique twist to it. However, I do feel the twist changed the tone of the game and made it a little bit weaker. Character plotlines and storylines don't make sense after this. Gameplay is typical Heavy Rain or Beyond: Two Souls type of gameplay (though not made by the same company). A game I recommend if you don't mind playing an interactive movie and if you're a horror fan.

Slightly disappointing in regards to storyline. Game play was improved significantly since the last few titles, though still hoping that features that were present in previous games to be restored (being able to train assassin's, escorts, pickpocketing). Game-play would have led me to score higher if those things were still intact. Loved there are multiple entries into a building for most missions (should have been a feature from the very start). Overall, still some things left to be desired. Graphics were good as always.

I agree with the person who said if you've played Saints Row the Third, then this is a huge step down an disappointment. What I expected was something even better, not spending time in a virtual reality within a game. It's a video game-it shouldn't be a video game within a video game. It is boring and just not enjoyable, even if you don't compare it to the previous title. Would not recommend.

This movie had potential to be a game, but failed in that department. It was an interactive story at most and the fact that it had movie-theme credits at the end shows how it was developed. Even Heavy Rain was better than this. Overall a good storyline but confusing ending(s), that seem to imply a sequel (possibly), but if that was do happen, would not play it. Would recommend watching a walkthrough before considering to get an idea of what you're getting into.

This is a good game but I don't like the grinding aspect of it. Not something I expect from an assassin's creed title. I have played all the other games (that are available on console), and I have found them improving the games with each installment, but this was too different for me. If I had looked at more reviews I would have had fair warning about how much time is actually spent on ships rather than on land. It doesn't feel like a real assassin game, more about ship battles and full combat battles, lot less stealth and lot less about assassin's, more about pirates, treasure and ships. The much complained about AC 3 was much better.

No maps, not guiding system, not that you need one for every game but this game was frustrating to navigate. This is not really a conventional game. It's a point and click adventure, a genre that seems to be slowly becoming popular again. The only issue I have with this game is that focus is clearly more on the story than the gameplay. It feels like the story was written, couldn't be made into a movie or book,(as this plot is not exactly original), so it was made into a game to be "innovative". Lets be real. there are better point and click adventures out there with much more original story-lines and less frustrating controls. I'm not saying its a bad game, but I don't see why its considered a great game.

It is definitely a different AC. There are things that are so different that takes away the fun from it, but some of the differences also add to it as well. Whilst recruiting assassins is a little bit more tedious, they make made up for this fact by actually having a back-story. They do feel like real characters. Especially also the characters in the homestead and others that you interact with. There is definitely a lot more focus on making a more realistic feel to the story. Then again, neither was Angel of Darkness. If you want an easy Platinum, go ahead and play this game, but its very frustrating because of the numerous bugs that they STILL have not fixed since its release. Not its not awful, but saying its a great game is a little biased. They could have done more with the story, characters, and, if you are not looking for treasure, this game can be finished in 5 hours. Buy it in the trilogy or buy it cheap. Decent game, the best game-play and graphics out of all three games, however, overall I would say I still found this tedious. Whilst this installment allows for much more freedom than the previous games, it still suffers from the same issues: time constraints and repetition. You must play in a very specific way to achieve the best possible set of endings (yes, there are about five or six variations). If you are a perfectionist, I would say reconsider and but I would also say the same if you are looking for some fun casual play. This game is pretty much a based on a huge grinding mechanic, much like the to others, the difference being that the story does little to motivate or interest. Bought the game last week and just finished it today. Its a good game, worth playing if you care about the series as a whole but you have to have the patience of a true Assassin's Creed fan. I find that after having played the 3 previous games, this feels like just another side game. Nothing different from Brotherhood-which as hardly a game in itself, more like Assassin's Creed 2.5. At least they took the effort to rap up the stories of both Ezio and Altair, which I liked. I think they acknowledged its repetitive nature by trying to change it up a bit by making some (very minor) changes. Despite the fact they did obviously take a lot of effort with this game, and it does look have beautiful (graphics-wise), I did not connect to it the same way I connected to the first two games. Playing an older Ezio is not appealing, but at least it satisfied my curiosity as did seeing Altair again. Yes they do deserve credit for it every game they make but I feel this is hardly a true achievement at all. The only thing that keeps me from not bothering to get the next one is the fact that I am a fan of this series. I am very disappointed.

A certain charm that was present in the second game; it could be the setting of the second game was better or even that the characters and story where better in Uncharted 2, not sure.
