The Scorpion King6
Jan 24, 2012
Just like the first Mummy film, The film has that "It" factor and it truely is an enjoyable film. A solid prequel (at least for the Mummy series) and good action through out (I would say the best in the first 3 films). It is a little corny at times though and that takes away from the film quite a bit. Overall though, It wasnt bad and its worth the watch.
Jan 24, 2012
The Mummy Returns5
Jan 24, 2012
I liked it but the thing about the film is that it has too much action and not enough plot. They sort of took the Michael Bay route where they give you a small amount of plot to satisfy you and they fill the rest of the time with action sequences. It can also be corny at times. It was ok but not as good as the first film.
Jan 24, 2012
The Mummy7
Jan 24, 2012
Its a good movie. The cast is fine, solid action, and it was interesting. The film has that "It" factor (cant really describe why its so good, it just is) and I enjoyed watching it.
Jan 22, 2012
A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas8
Jan 22, 2012
This movie is hilarious, Definently lives up to the first film and then some. It did annoy me a bit that it was rather generic at times (the whole plot really) but the laughs I got through out more then make up for it. A stoner comedy definently worth watching imo.
Jan 22, 2012
Big Daddy6
Jan 22, 2012
It was funny. Definently worth the watch and definently one of Sandler's best films. It does get a little bit generic and sappy about half way into it but its still worth the watch.
Jan 22, 2012
The Hot Chick2
Jan 22, 2012
Besides a few minor laughs spread through out the movie, It was pretty stupid. So stupid that I can not recommend this to anyone. Really disapointing imo.
Jan 22, 2012
50 First Dates4
Jan 22, 2012
Eh it was ok at first but it gets rather corny, sappy, and generic. It fits the norm of other Sandler films so if you like his other work then you will like this. It was ok but I wouldnt watch it again.
Jan 22, 2012
The Benchwarmers5
Jan 22, 2012
There are a lot of hilarious parts in the begining of the film yet it one again falls victim to the curse of sappy and corny comedies. The sappiness and cornyness definently hurt the film big time but I still enjoyed it for the most part.
Jan 22, 2012
You Don't Mess with the Zohan0
Jan 22, 2012
This film is not only one of the worst I have ever seen but its easily the worst film of Sandler's career and that is saying something. Its 2 hours of my life that I sadly regret wasting.
Jan 22, 2012
30 Minutes or Less2
Jan 22, 2012
Eh it was a rather generic comedy. It started off promising but it got so corny and stale that it just ruined the whole experiance of it. Wouldnt recommend this.
Jan 22, 2012
Grown Ups5
Jan 22, 2012
It wasnt bad but it wasnt good either. It was funny at times but corny at others. Its a rather generic comedy when it all comes down to it but it features an all star comedy cast. It meets the norm of every other Sandler type film so if you enjoy those types of films then you will enjoy this.
Jan 20, 2012
Taken8
Jan 20, 2012
I really didnt know why I liked the movie as much as I did until I relized that it was Liam Neeson's performance that took this film to the next level. The action is great, the plot is interesting but somewhat generic compared to other action films, and the cast is solid. Totally worth watching.
Jan 20, 2012
Dragon Wars: D-War0
Jan 20, 2012
Why I thought this film would be good still suprises me to this day. This is hands down one of the worst films I have ever seen. Do yourself a favor and dont bother wasting your time on it like I did.
Jan 20, 2012
In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale5
Jan 20, 2012
It was ok. The action was good for the most part but the parts with magic were super, super corny. There was little plot to it as well. The acting was solid but thats expected by the experianced cast. Overall, There is nothing really special (or good) about this movie. Its just another generic film really.
Jan 20, 2012
The Collector5
Jan 20, 2012
There really was no plot to the film what so ever. Its pretty much a serial killer who kills for the heck of it in this film, which is rather disapointing considering it was by the guys who wrote Saw 4-7 and Saw had a great story behind it. What I did like about the film was that it was a cat and mouse game that was fun to watch. Adding in violent (sometimes overly violent) traps and a few suspensful moments and you have a decent horror film. The Collector isnt bad and its worth the watch but it has a long way to go before being a respectable horror franchise.
Jan 19, 2012
The Hurt Locker9
Jan 19, 2012
I liked it. I thought the movie was original (which is rare these days) and well worth the watch. The acting was good, the movie was suspensful. The one flaw with it is that the climax wasnt satisfying. The entire film built up to this point that just totally let me down, Even to the point where it was a bit predictable. Still, It was a good film and worth the watch. IMO - Definently more worthy than Avatar to win the oscar for best picture.
Jan 18, 2012
The Ghost Writer7
Jan 18, 2012
It wasnt that bad of a film. Plot is decent enough to keep you interested but it never really gets to that next level of great suspensful movies. The acting is good. Its worth the watch imo but I am sure a few people may get bored with it.
Jan 17, 2012
Hall Pass6
Jan 17, 2012
Its a decent comedy. It is funny but most of the jokes are rather generic but executed perfectly by the cast and the situation they are in. I enjoyed it and thought it was well worth the watch.
Jan 17, 2012
The Bourne Supremacy7
Jan 17, 2012
Parts of the film are good but it never really draws you in the way the first film did. More running and chasing in this film and a lot less hand to hand combat (which made the first film so good imo) in the action sequences. The plot is ok but it doesnt explain much, if anything really. Overall it was an ok film that never reachs the next level that its so close to reaching.
Jan 16, 2012
The Bourne Ultimatum8
Jan 16, 2012
A very likeable movie that features the best action in the series as well as great direction. I love how the movie gives secret nods to the 2 previous films (use the Wiki page for the movie to see examples of this). The cast is solid as well. The plot wont make any sense though unless you have seen the 2 previous films. Also the plot isnt as compelling as the other 2 films either, It really doesnt build upon what is already there and that is a bit disapointing. Its still a solid action flick that is well worth the watch.
Jan 16, 2012
Meet the Fockers6
Jan 16, 2012
Eh it was ok. It didnt dwell on the first film too much but it didnt do enough to really set itself apart either. The cast is good but the story is too generic and features a lot of generic jokes. Its funny though and worth the watch, Just dont expect to be amazed by it.
Jan 16, 2012
Bug6
Jan 16, 2012
The plot is interesting but its rather confusing as well and will probably require a second watch or even a third to really understand it. The acting is amazing though and the cast is severely underrated imo. Michael Shannon plays his part perfectly. Its well worth the watch imo.
Jan 16, 2012
The Bourne Identity8
Jan 16, 2012
A good action flick with an interesting story but it never really captures you in the way it should have but its good enough to make you wanna see the sequel. Matt Damon was a solid lead and the rest of the cast was good as well. I enjoyed it.
Jan 16, 2012
The Devil's Rejects8
Jan 16, 2012
Zombie has done it again and gives us another solid horror film that is well worth watching. While its not as great as the first film, It does give the Firefly family a solid send off.
Jan 16, 2012
House of 1000 Corpses10
Jan 16, 2012
Rob Zombie gives us a cult classic horror film that we all have been craving for quite some times. I remember first seeing this film and being terrified by the Firefly family. I would highly recommend.
Jan 16, 2012
The 40 Year Old Virgin6
Jan 16, 2012
It was ok. A few funny scenes and a solid cast through out. However it never really rises above that generic comedy that you expect to be funny because it features actors from other comedies that you enjoyed.
Jan 16, 2012
Let's Go to Prison6
Jan 16, 2012
While the film does feature a lot of generic jokes about prison. The cast carries this film well beyond how good it should have been and they make it an enjoyable comedy worth watching.
Jan 16, 2012
Hot Fuzz7
Jan 16, 2012
It was funny, interesting, and gave a well deserved nod to action films. I just dont hold it in high regards like others do. I enjoyed it but I dont think it was great.
Jan 16, 2012
Evan Almighty0
Jan 16, 2012
I watched this in theaters and the best thing about it is that I got free tickets from it because they had technical difficulties before airing it. This is a terrible film and I wouldnt recommend it.
Jan 16, 2012
Changeling5
Jan 16, 2012
Solid performances by the cast but the thing about the movie is that it never really gets interesting. It doesnt capture you the way it should have and that is disapointing.
Jan 16, 2012
Role Models5
Jan 16, 2012
It was ok. A rather generic comedy if you ask me. Paul Rudd, Sean William Scott, and Jane Lynch give good performances in this and that is what really carries the film. Funny at times and corny at others.
Jan 16, 2012
The Incredible Hulk5
Jan 16, 2012
I liked it about as much as I did the first Hulk film. Edward Norton was a great addition. However I ,for one, am tired of seeing Hulk movies because they are all the same and really offer no growth for the characters featured in the film.
Jan 16, 2012
Frost/Nixon6
Jan 16, 2012
The huge flaw for this film was that it took until the very end to get interest. The last 30 minutes or so of the film is when it got really good. The build up before that was insanely boring. The acting was great but the movie was about average.
Jan 16, 2012
Inglourious Basterds7
Jan 16, 2012
I liked it but it doesnt really hold up well compared to other movies by Tarantino. Took a bit too much to get into. The acting was solid. The plot was interest. A lot of over the top action. Its enjoyable but far from perfect.
Jan 16, 2012
Devil8
Jan 16, 2012
I loved this movie. It was interesting through out and provided quite a bit of suspense as well. I didnt watch it for quite some time because I hate supernatural movies but this one is ok in my book.
Jan 15, 2012
Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps8
Jan 15, 2012
Everyone seemed to expect Wall Street 2 to be a re-package version of the first film but its really its own film and it did well seperating itself from the first film and establishing itself as its own good film. Yes a good film because I liked it. I think LaBeouf was a good lead, Douglas is great, Brolin was a good villian, and the rest of the cast was solid as well. The one big flaw is that Brolin's character seems like the villian type but hes not as straight forward as Gekko was in the first film. He is more secretitive and I feel it hurt the film quite a bit. They could have done a better job at putting Brolin's character into the limelight. Still enjoyed the film though.
Jan 15, 2012
Wall Street7
Jan 15, 2012
It was an interesting movie but overall it had quite a bit of flaws. I still enjoyed it though and thought Michael Douglas was an amazing lead. Worth the watch imo.
Jan 14, 2012
The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad!6
Jan 14, 2012
I liked the series but this film **** imo. Recycled a bit from the series and it really was just so stale and so stupid that I couldnt even come close to putting it in the same catagory as I did the series. Really disapointed with this.
Jan 10, 2012
A Nightmare on Elm Street7
Jan 10, 2012
I liked how Freddy actually had a backstory in this and it explained a lot about his character and why he does the things that he does. I love Jackie Earle Haley as Freddy, even if he isnt England (the original Freddy) he is a good actor and worth of the part. The rest of the actors were good as well. There are also a few original parts in there that actually work rather well and I enjoyed them. The bad parts of the film - The kills were exactly like the original film and like the ending of Freddy vs Jason. I hated that, I wanted original kills that were worthy of Freddy's style, Not some poorly done "reimagining" of the original film's kills. Also the actresses in this film were terrible and ruin the film quite a bit, Rooney Mara was a terrible lead (and actress imo) who killed this film. I am a long time fan of the Nightmare on Elm Street series and in my opinion, This is one of the best films the franchise has come out with. I liked it enough where I would give the sequel a chance but I wont see it unless they cast a new female lead.
Jan 9, 2012
Munich7
Jan 9, 2012
Far too long imo. Really dragged on the film as long as they could and it would have been a little bit better if it were shorter. The acting was ok at first but it gets better when you get further into it. The action is good as well. idk though, The film just didnt sit well with me for some reason. It was a decent film that never really clicked with me. However the ending was excellent.
Jan 7, 2012
Predators0
Jan 7, 2012
I only watched half of this film before I had to stop because it was so terrible. The story ,while interesting, is poorly executed. The acting is well below average and is in fact down right terrible. Adrien Brody ,a formerly good actor, pulls off a Christian Bale movie and mimics the deep voice that Bale uses when he plays as Batman. This is very bad, Even worst then when Bale does it. Its simply a terrible film.
Jan 7, 2012
Transformers: Dark of the Moon5
Jan 7, 2012
I think plot wise it was ok but it didnt have much for backstory but hey this is a Michael Bay film, I cant expect a good script so we can just be happy that he gave us something this decent (suprisingly). Also the acting wasnt as good as the previous film and easily the worst its been in the series. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is a terrible replacement for Megan Fox because not only is she less attractive but Megan is a far better actress then her (and that is saying something). This film also relied super heavy on special effects. Yes I know its a Michael Bay film but the effects were at an all time high for this film. The end result was really boring and stale (you have seen it once you have seen it a thousand times is what im trying to get at). The film was rather boring and didnt have the excitement the previous films had. The run time makes you suffer through the film longer then you have too and Michael Bay really drags on these scenes to their fullest (rather annoying). These signs all point towards ending the series because it simply doesnt have that spark anymore.
Jan 7, 2012
Reservoir Dogs8
Jan 7, 2012
I thought it was good for the most part but it did take a bit too long to get into, I mean really interesting. Also I did not like Chris Penn in this film at all, He brought the acting (which was rather good) down quite a bit. Overall it was a good movie and still well worth the watch.
Jan 6, 2012
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen8
Jan 6, 2012
I suprisingly enjoyed this film a lot more then the first one. I think the huge flaw for it was the long run time, It definently started to push your nerves while watching it. The run time dragged the film on longer then what it should have. Besides that, The acting was fine (yes, even the super hot Megan Fox was alright in it) and the story was fine as well. The special effects were about the same as the first film (good but insanely repetitive) and I agree that it did seem a lot of things were being blown up for no reason other then blowing them up and hoping people think it looks cool (it doesnt). It was annoying seeing the transformers transform 15+ times in the film. Also the action sequences were terrible and didnt have any excitement, Also it was hard to tell who was battling who when the camera is so close up and the autobots and decepticons are so large. Overall the film was still rather good and I enjoyed it.
Jan 5, 2012
Kill Bill: Vol. 28
Jan 5, 2012
A lot better sequel then I expected. The story ended good and the acting was great as well. It was also a lot more interesting this time around as well. I enjoyed it a lot more then the first film.
Jan 5, 2012
Kill Bill: Vol. 16
Jan 5, 2012
It was ok. For an action film it was rather over the top, A little too over the top for my taste. Yet the plot was interesting but a little poorly executed, Which is suprising from Tarantino. I expected better.
Jan 5, 2012
Gangs of New York6
Jan 5, 2012
Daniel Day Lewis really carried this film imo and made it worth the watch. DiCaprio and Diaz **** and didnt fit in at all. The rest of the cast was good. It was interesting at first but it feels a bit too drawn out and it loses interest. It was a decent film but no where near as good as it could have been.
Jan 5, 2012
Hero7
Jan 5, 2012
It loses something when you listen to it with english voice overs, The film is must better in its native language. I enjoyed it and I thought it was rather good. I enjoyed the plot and it was nice to see the film play out as it did. The cinematography was alright but I have seen a lot better, To be honest it was rather generic if you ask me. Still it was a solid film none the less and worth the watch.
Jan 5, 2012
No Country for Old Men8
Jan 5, 2012
Javier Bardem really makes this film, His performance is not only haunting but its amazing. His supporting cast is good as well. The film is interesting ,as is the plot, but I just cant put it up there with other top films. Its the performances that make this film and it shows through out.
Jan 5, 2012
There Will Be Blood9
Jan 5, 2012
First off, Daniel Day Lewis is untouchable (as always) and makes the film that much greater from his performance alone. There Will Be Blood gives us a cold hard look at the world of Oil Drilling and I loved it. It can be a little boring at times ,god knows the run time takes away from the film a bit, but the majority of the film is simply amazing and more then makes up for it.
