Grown Ups

No one in their right mind goes to an Adam Sandler movie for any reason other than to laugh, and Grown Ups delivers.

The film drifts along on a stream of humiliation jokes - physical, emotional, sexual, hairpiece-ial.

Isn't just unfunny; it's so dull.

Nobody escapes unscathed, except, of course, for Sandler, who co-wrote the infantile screenplay.

Dumb, lazy, obvious and largely pointless.

Grown Ups finds Sandler reverting to lunkheaded, lazy-laff form.

It doesn't get worse than Grown Ups, Adam Sandler's sloppy entry into this year's man-child-comedy sweepstakes. Lazy, mean-spirited, incoherent, infantile and, above all, witless.

WHAT I LIKED: It tackles some serious themes with a great light-hearted tone, the 3 main guys are all funny and their humour feels real WHAT I DIDNT LIKE: It's not a particularly interesting plot and the characters are fairly bland with little development VERDICT: It's supposed to be a fun family film and it fulfills there, but it's not particularly exciting or clever and does bore after a while

It’s fun to see these SNL vets working together, but there’s no magic here. Bad story and worse jokes.

Grown Ups isn't funny and it is just another bad "comedy" film that forces Adam Sandler to be in it and not be funny or cool at all. Plus side: It isn't Jack and Jill.
