This got so many ingredients right, it struck a nice tone, grown up but fun, had some big stars in roles that suited their talents. Built a really interesting fantasy world that i wanted to see more of but a film like this needs one major ingredient for it to work. The villian must stand out & make a major impression on the story as much as J.K Simmons Santa. More actually, it may be the most important element of a movie like this after the theme, the tone & the main character. Well they managed to make the villian not just stand out like at all but be so utterly forgettable it nearly ruins the whole movie. Thankfully it doesn't but it sure does do alot of damage cos everytime she is on screen it's a snoorefest. It's not even that the mythical character Grya is lesser known then some of the other characters, it's that Kiernan Shipka gives an incredibly flat, boring, uninteresting villian that you just don't care in the slightest about nevermind feel threatened by. Considering this went big into the mythical side for its world they really could of gone big with the villian. I'm thinking K/Cate Winslet or Blanchett. Jodie Foster. I remember watching the movie version of uncharted & not really enjoying it & thinking the game story was better but the one thing that kept me from switching it off was Antonio Banderos dripping cool villlianry & they killed him off half way for the most boring young girl ever to play the most most boring villian ever! I lasted 10 more minutes & then switched off. This new theme of having young girls attempt to play major villians really hasn't worked at all. It worked once that i can remember 'Joey King on Bullet Train' was good. They need to go back to picking older more established actors, alot of the time they went for stage actors for the villians, they need to go back to that. You know Ralph Fiennes, Alan Rickman, Christopher Waltz, Charlize Theron, Angelina Jolie, Cate Blanchett. They've given us great villians cos they have the range & they know when it's time to tone down the seriousness & realise they are in a fun film so let's give them something a bit different. All of that is far far far beyond Kiernan Shipka's...i'm sorry but meagre talents by comparison. Did they run out of money for cast after hiring The Rock? That is possibility.

After a magnificent career, this is DelToros Magnum Opus. What a masterpiece it is. This cast is truly firing on all cylinders, there isn't a bad performance amongst them but it's Jacob Elordi who finally after so many iterations has brought the monster to life & made his version a truly unforgettable presence in cinematic history. After many forgettable Frankenstein monsters, this is the one that has being brought roaring to life straight from the pages of Mary Shellys masterpiece. Both maker & monster have never been better in the story all shrouded in DelToros beautiful gothic cinematography.

PG 13 Disney Predator? Check ️ A weak male Predator castrated of all it's threat & violence? ️ Small cuddly character added to story to sell stuffed toys? ️ Disney does it again...another franchise to the slaughterhouse. Predator was a testosterone fueled thrill ride, we are not allowed to have positive masculinity on our big screens anymore. Yes all masculinity isn't negative, shocking i know, there is such a thing as positive masculinity but this movie has neither. Nor is it a thrill ride, spinning tea cups maybe? It's hard to think someone actually watched the predator movies & made this thinking it was good representation of the Predator race. I actually think you could not of got it more wrong then they did with this but luckily for it i watched the first 2 episodes of the Witcher show this week! That's as many as i could get through & that will remain the most monstrously wrong representation of the original material i've ever seen. Wheel of Time, Willow & Rings of Power will remain in the following positions but this is still a awful representation made by people who clearly had no love or respect for the original movies.

Absolutely awful. I didn't agree with throwing away the story of Kevin & Sam but if your gona throw it away, make sure you have a good original story with great characters to make up for it. Give the audience a chance to forget those original characters by introducing memorable new ones. Ares fails absolutely miserably on that note. This kinda reminds me of the new stars trilogy, new but lesser characters in the same story which only succeeds in leaving you yearning for the originals when your done. I don't know who Greta Lee is, never seen her before & on this showing i'm inclined to not want to see her again. One of the most forgetful leads i've ever seen in a film, her acting & her character leave absolutely no impression on the audience. Almost feels like AI coasting through pretending to be real. No memorable villain either which both of the other Tron movies succeeded in producing. It's just the typical, "pompous egotistical bad white man" villain that seems to be in every film these days. Nothing new or original there either. Nothing new or original just about anywhere. What's worse instead of getting to dive into the original unique world of Tron, which i'm sure is what most fans of the series want. They are denied that nostalgic escapism & instead the characters of Tron are brought into our very real human world. Oh joy. I'm sure hardcore fans where hoping for that! None of the unique Tron elements work aswell in our world either, like the light cycles. They just don't hit the same in the real world. Nor does this film. I can't find anything positive to say sadly. This wasn't just a bad adaptation. It was an awful one with utterly boring characters devoid of color or candor nor actors with the ability to bring the poor script or poor story roaring to life. A bad film for non fans & absolutely tragically awful movie for Tron fans.

Masterpiece in all areas. The critic score shows everything you need to know about modern journalism. Clueless & in it for politics not the art form of Cinema. This is one of the greatest films ever put on screen with one of the greatest lead performances. Yet the so called professionals didn't rate it.

What a massive disappointment after the great set up & premise left by fallen Kingdom. This premise is pretty much explained away by some random narrator in the first 5 mins. The film instead decides to focus on the cloned genetics of one little girl? Isn't this franchise about dinosaurs? I got so excited after fallen kingdom to finally see the dinosaurs fully incorporated into the human world & see how they learn to coexist if they do at all. But no....little girl clone & locusts? That's what we get? Then this is backed up with hideously atrocious acting. Every new character who wasn't in any of the previous movies puts in horrible acting displays one after another. One particular stand out display is a asian lady dinosaur smuggler. It seems like they just went with the first take on alot of these scenes. Like yeah that will do. The premise & scenes are at times so utterly ridiculous & comical. At one point people gather around & cheer a fight while 2 man eating dinosaurs have just been released behind them & have already started attacking & feeding on **** aload of guys are like yeah but there is a knife fight ****'s take bets! So utterly disappointing....i love this franchise but this is a travesty with none of the magic of the originals & tbh little respect for the heart & magic of the previous installments. The original cast are brought back, only to be made background filler...maybe some attempt to get more bums in seats. Far too big a cast like so many movies these days so you dont have any time to get attached or care for anybody properly. Not that any scenes would back that up. I never felt the stakes were high at any point or cared enough. Its just one action set piece after another utterly devoid of soul or heart. It really is just content filler like so much else these days. We live in the age of cinema that produces & celebrates mediocrity.

Kinda cheap looking & entirely forgettable...that's what this movie says to me. For a big treasure chasing adventure movie it actually looks abit cheap & the set piece scenes are underwhelming until they finally do go big & it's just brain dead stupid. Antagonists are incredibly forgettable & leave no mark on the audience whatsoever. If you asked me their names now i couldn't tell you, the antagonists in the movie are one of its weakest points & actually include a plot twist that makes things even worse in that area. However there is no denying Tom Holland's ability as a leading man, he certainly produces charisma in spades which is lucky as Mark Whalberg is a charisma vacuum. Who knows Tom Holland's star power might draw a sequel but all i was left with was a feeling of a missed opportunity of what could of been.

Boring. So incredibly ordinary. Nothing original or exciting. It's not woefully bad but it's inexplicably below average. Waste **** cast. Cathrine Keener who is usually great in everything doesn't deliver a single line with conviction & looks uncomfortable in every scene. Waste of Ryan Reynolds & Mark Ruffalo, although Reynolds is starting to make a habit of staring in films like this.

There really is very little else to say other then this was an absolute masterpiece of a Batman film. Where you feel the people who crafted it really understood what Batman & his world is all about. The cast are all simply magnificent but a special shout out to Paul Dano & Colin Farrell. Mercifully there is no social politics or marvel cheese. It just focuses on making a great crime thriller where the lead detective just happens to walk around in a bat suit. Special shout to Michael Giacchino for his brilliant suspenseful score. Absolutely loved it.

Another stinking pile of hollywood garbage trying to live off the nostalgia of it's better originals. Couldn't help but feel similar feelings as i did when watching the Disney star wars movies. The problem with trying to live off the nostalgia of the originals is; your constantly reminded how much better they were to the stinking pile of **** your currently watching. Dog crap.

What an absolute stinking pile of garbage. I'm not even gona start on the turd of a script but netflix scripts are 95% of the time terrible & Synder isn't exactly known for it either but at least his movies are stylish & can be fun. This is none of that, it's boring, beyond stupid & no fun whatsoever. Which is a travesty to the genre then any attempt to add heart to the story is seriously wide of the mark, nevermind that you couldn't give a **** about the characters that are meant to deliver that heart. The more interesting characters get little screen time or are killed off quick. Then there is the incredibly annoying daughter character in Ella Purnell who you just want to strangle the whole way through but she dominants the screen time. I really have lost my faith in the movie industry to be able to produce anything of a decent standard, the current standard of writing in particular is frighteningly bad. And we are not allowed have a single movie that isn't saturated with politics no matter how silly the film. So here i am, a life long movie fan that has completely lost his faith in the industry to produce anything of quality. It seems we live in the age of acceptable low standards.

This movie is another to remind me that they really will make anything these days, seems they just greenlight everything nowadays and not just that but throw money at it aswell. Netflix seem to like to cast a large net hoping that one or two catch on. The problem with this is the market just becomes saturated in mediocrity. Such a boring film which had nothing to say for itself despite having Charlize Theron as the lead. A dull film with no message or meaning but no action or entertainment either like so many others i've seen recently. It can't of looked any better on paper when they looked at the script. The standard within the movie industry really has dropped considerably over the last couple of years.
