Hard to know where to begin. There was a noticeable trend of dumbed down gameplay elements in Spider-Man 2 already, but Wolverine takes it to another level. Linear to the point of tediousness and on-rails the whole time. The side activities are both nonsensical and clearly designed to pad out the extremely short duration of the main story. Which brings us to the worst part of the game. The writing is atrocious. I don't know who decided to pull Jean into this, but forcing a largely hated romance in 2026 and tripling down on it with some insane elements (immortal lovers????) is genuinely offensive to anyone who's actually a fan of the X-Men in comic book **** is clear here that whoever wrote this steaming turd didn't do much more than skim the Fox movies wikipedia articles. The future for Insomniac's X-Men is extremely grim if this were the plot points and characterizations they chose to go with for their first building block game. Someone at Insomniac clearly wanted to write a Cyclops story because how the **** do you take all of his backstory and slap it onto Logan to deliver this turd?

There is some jank here on a technical level, especially as you near the end of the story where it's obvious they didn't have much time to polish it, but overall it's a super fun **** story itself is rather by the books, but even in that context it was fun seeing how non-Skywalker characters experienced the final days of the Republic. Not to mention, some super fun characters are introduced into the mythos in this game (Bennic and Tel-Rea in particular shine with their **** speaking of storylines, some also feel rushed (two separate ones end up resolving in the same mission, which surprised me) and I assume this is due to budgets constraints **** overall a fun enough 29 hours spent with it that I'd definitely buy a DLC if it were to get made.

Review after finishing the 1st route (will update after doing the 2nd) : What a lovely game. A bittersweet love-story between two deeply scarred people set against the backdrop of an urban fantasy world filled with fun worldbuilding and a unique atmosphere. There's no gameplay in this (barring a few choices that affect scenes either in terms of dialogue, or lead you to a bad ending and a sketch), but the presentation is still exceptional. The music is highly melancholic and memorable, and the action scenes are polished and engaging, considering the way they're implemented.

If you thought the first game was a poor amalgamation of clichees and tropes utilized in the worst and most stereotypical possible way, then buckle up because **** Punch takes everything that makes Tsushima bland and dials it up to a hundred in Yotei.

The game has a wonderful charm and atmosphere to it, complemented by fast paced and snappy gameplay. If I had to point out flaws, it would be the way some of the backtracking to and from bosses is played out, and the positioning of benches can be annoying from time to time.

Mile-wide and inch-deep is an identity Bethesda has been firmly entrenched in for decades. The problem up to now was the fact that there was no competition in wide-scoped RPG's set in open worlds. This has changed over the last decade, games like Kingdom Come Deliverance, for example, show that Bethesda is doing the bare minimum when it comes to game design. After the stinkers that were Fallout 4, 76, Starfield I'm beginning to wonder how and why people would give such a ridiculous amount of free passes to any single company. This Remaster continues in the same vein as other Bethesda releases. Notably buggy, poorly optimized, and at the end of the day a facelift **** that is thoroughly mediocre in 2025.

Quite an amazing achievement in terms of combining both artistic expression and addicting gameplay while not being a AAA game in budget. It is a much needed breath of fresh air that shows the industry monoliths you can make a game wide in scope without sacrificing on any element that makes it charming while also pricing it competitively.

A very fun homage to the job systems of RPG's in times past, with a wide variety of playstyles to mix and match and always keep it fresh. Where the game is let down, however, is the storytelling. Despite promising a bleaker experience than the high school shenanigans we go through in their Persona series, Metaphor fails to step away in a significant way from that format. The followers storylines are mostly poorly paced and run of the mill, with the occasional exception that takes you by surprise. It leans heavily into the BFF's tropes like Persona, which lead to a somewhat generic experience at times.

Has to have the worst writing in modern game history. Absolutely sanitized and written by a committee. I fear for Mass Effect 4, because if this is any indication then the bar for getting hired as a writer is in the Mariana Trench.

Not sure what I expected. At the bare minimum, taking criticisms about the blandest possible narrative into account when writing the story for this game. There's plenty of poor mechanics and watered down gameplay that I can forgive, as long as the story is engaing. This is anything but. A year wait for something that is painfully short, and most importantly of all, incredibly bland. Bethesda needs to do a deep clean of their writing room, because the content they served lately is downright soulless.

It improves upon every bit of groundwork the first game laid down. But the most notable standouts by far are the voice performances. The copious amounts of grunting and exhales are almost completely filtered out from the script, which makes the whole experience actually pleasurable. The gameplay too has been expanded, and now offers an enormous variety of combinations to keep the enjoyment high throughout the 70-odd hour playthrough. If I had to find something to criticize about this game, it would be the poorly implemented Performance mode, namely the level of picture clarity while using it. It is downright abhorrent, and I had to switch to Graphics mode as a result.

It is very much a style over substance type of game. The story drags on for way too long at times, and the stakes never really feel high despite it being a ''world will end'' scenario in the final parts of the game.

Fantastic gameplay, dragged down by a very weak script, forced on-rails sections, extremely repetitive sections and overall inconsistent performances. They simultaneously designed one of the best RPG systems ever, and filled the game with the absolute worst and most repetitive aspects of RPG games.

Some of the most polished gameplay I've ever experienced, combined with stunning visuals and a great score. Ultimately dragged down with very poor pacing, a terrible story structure and trying to teach you a ''lesson'' in an extremely overbearing way.

Coming back to the game after beating it for the first time in 2016, I'm pleased to say that it still holds up remarkably in terms of story, score and visuals (it is a remake, to be fair). The only grievance I could have with it is that it's a shame they haven't ported over the crawling from the sequel.

Jedi: Survivor improves on almost everything that Fallen Order built. The story was more engaging, the characters fleshed out further and a great score to boot. I'd rate it higher were it not for performance issues I experienced on release, which dragged the whole experience down.

It doesn't excel in any area particularly, but Three Houses was an enjoyable tactical experience with a decent story and some interesting characters.

Buying a Switch for this game is one of the greatest regrets I have in gaming. Visuals held back by outdated hardware, barebones story and extremely simple and generic gameplay make for one of the biggest disappointments in the time I spent gaming.

Stellar art style, great music, fun gameplay - all backed up by a simple, yet charming story. Hades excels at everything it sets out to do.

Simply put, this game fails to capture the gravitas of the first one, and as a title carrying the name ''Ragnarok'' I felt that it failed in delivering the end of days spectacle it promised. There's also an abundance of jokes that simply don't land compared to the first game.

I hate this game so much. And then I love it. But then I hate it again. On my road to the platinum trophy it really has been the source of my greatest frustrations and biggest joys. I haven't played it for more than a year now, but I think on it fondly at least once a week.

Pacing issues and underdeveloped characters (mainly Jill) keep this game from achieving it's true potential, despite the very engaging gameplay and great visuals.

Apart from the very fun ship building mechanic, this game is an amalgamation of outdated and unfun systems bundled together with some of the most generic and least likeable characters I have encountered in gaming. With all it's flaws I think the game could've done well if it just had decent writing, but unfortunately it doesn't. And in my eyes, after all the recent stinkers, it drags Bethesda down from AAA to A status.
