The scores so far are a travesty. This was not the best movie ever, but it was a solid, comical entry with Jack Black on form. The kids loved it, as did all adults in the group. Creative and fun, my main complaint is that Jack’s songs weren’t of the Peaches caliber. 7.5/10

Brilliant movie. Thrilling, twist filled exciting story. Wonderful acting. Brilliant editing & direction. Everything felt well thought out, without taking itself too seriously. It’s like a 90s action movie throughout.

So much fun to be had with this movie! Visually stunning, very glad I watched at an imax (sad to see it so empty on opening night though). Jodie and Ryan both provide a fantastic performance, and the pace is well maintained throughout. Certainly felt the first half was the better of the two, and didn’t care for the love story…. Luckily they didn’t dwell on it too much. Great fun watch!

Great songs, plenty of humour for adults. Keanu and Snoop. What more can you want for your kids? Lovely story too. Great film.

It’s a little silly at times, but in my opinion it beats the fantastic original. I loved the opening scenes, and whilst some of the children’s decisions infuriated me (why hadn’t they learnt by now!), I felt the story was a more exciting watch, more action packed etc. JK is a master here, can’t wait for #3!

What did I just watch? Pure and utter trash. I had to do everything I could not to turn it off when the androids started kissing. This film is a mess and an offence to the Alien series. There is very little to redeem it, bar the alien FX being quite good.

Fantastic movie which once again shows us how out of touch Hollywood critics are with film goers alike.

The film is saved by Leo’s incredible acting (maybe another Oscar for him??). Even so, it’s not up to the standard we hope to see from QT, despite it being better than hateful eight. Worth watching for the acting and the last 30 mins, which without would make it a 5/10 movie!

Yet again the critics prove they’re out of touch with the rest of us. Did I really just watch the same film as them? Boring, slow and terribly written. Not worth the time (and I LOVE sci-fi!)

Incredible movie which yet again proves the critics don’t know what they’re talking about. JP has a contender for best actor. Amazing.
