I don't know what's up with people's controllers, because the motionm plus works fine. If it starts glitching, it's a one button fix. Also, the graphics are fine, like a painting. There is no lag, and almost no load times. And the one to one motion control is used great, especially past the first Ghirahim fight. This game does everything right, and the five years of development gave us a masterpiece. Haters stop hating, laggers get a better Wii because yours is broken, but don't take anything away from the game because of your **** hardware.

Now, ignoring the **** that believe pokemon is a first-person shooter, *cough KlassicKritic cough* we look at a sensible review. Yes, this is another pokemon game in which you are a pokemon. You have a certain amount of character changeability, however, that only applies to the attractions, not the whole game. However, the graphics are absolutely stunning, considering both the platform and genre. There is a lot to do, and there is some variety in the games you can partake in, however it starts to get repetitive. The story is sound, it's just not going to win an award. The controls work fine, with the occasional glitch that can be frustrating, but it works well for the most part. There are tons of pokemon to be found, and they can be befriended. Then, they can be used to play games for you. (It's a lot better than it sounds) This game is different, and has some replayabilty. It isn't amazingly long, but if you try to befriend every pokemon you'll be at it for a really long time. It is a very fun game, though people over the age of 14 may not be too fond of it. Also, there are plenty of battles, but you can only use thunderbolt, iron tail, and dash into foes. This actually is a really nice touch, and you can even upgrade your moves and make them stronger. This may contradict what I've written, but this game is actually pretty great. It's just as good as mystery dungeon, if not better. (Oh, and the environments are absolutely GORGEOUS)

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit

User Scorenonnikchief

Need for Speed Hot Pursuit is pretty good. It has 48 events spread over two careers, Cops to take down the racers, and the racers running from the cops. Each career has 3 different power-ups to help out, and fifteen different ranks. Ranks are earned by earning bounty by completing events. Each rank unlocks a new car. The game very rarely has a bit of lag, but it can completely screw you up. The graphics are good, the controls work fine, and the gameplay is differed enough to not get boring. If you want to play a racing game on the IPod, this is a good one.

This game is a tower defense like game, that has you planting different plants on your lawn to battle the zombies that are trying to eat your brains. The touch controls work really well, and the graphics are great on the Ipod Touch, matching those of the consoles. generally there isn't any lag, however things slow down when you spam star shooters. Don't worry, the game is really fast. The gameplay is great, with 5 chapters, and ten levels to a chapter. The game isn't amazingly long, but it has some replay value, especially if you want to find every Zen Garden plant. There are achievements to earn, and the game gets harder the second time around, in case it was too easy the first time. sadly, a couple modes have been excluded from the mobile version, such as endless mode and the world tree. Still, these extra game modes aren't enough to warrant a $20 purchase of the PC game, so pick up the $3 mobile version instead. Great game, and worth your while.

This game is a great addition to the Mario Kart series. The environments and tracks are really fun and look great, there are tons of cars, bikes and tracks to race on, there are tons of unlockables, and the roster is great. There are a couple new items to mess other people up with, and the controls are great. the gameplay is fine, and it is easy to control. You can also go on WiFi and race people around the world. This game is really a 9.5, because it's just so awesome.

Pokemon White Version

User Scorenonnikchief

Pokemon White is a great game. The story is actually a story, and the best of the series so far. The villains, Team Plasma, actually have some character, in that they are fighting FOR pokemon, to free them from captivity. The graphics are great for the DS, and good for any platform, even though many of us resent that Oshawott shows up so clearly. The new pokemon for the most part are great, though many are awkward in shape, appearance, or both. (Trubbish) However, after you spend some time with these aforementioned "ugly" pokemon, you get used to them, and they aren't really that ugly anymore. (Except for Trubbish, there's no saving him) the gameplay is Pokemon, that hasn't changed. There are now two rivals, so one you will have an advantage over, while the other still has the advantage over you. It is a nice touch to have the rivals as the characters friends, building upon that found in Ruby/Saphire/Emerald. there are a few new moves that you'll have to familiarize yourself with, as well as some new type combinations. The new pokemon are cool, and even the hideous ones are okay after a while. The new region is fun to explore, and the story is the best of the series. (Except Coliseum, but that's a console) And the new pokemon are great. Basically, pokemon lovers and children up to the age of 14, get this game!

I personally was so disappointed in that i knew i was missing out on a whole generation of pokemon, and a whole world to explore. Because while Red and Blue were re-made for the next generation, Gold and Silver weren't. Then Nintendo announced HeartGold and SoulSilver, re-makes of the classics with unbelievable graphics, and new features. The game improved on all the new concepts from Platinum, and still introduced new concepts. The storyline was good as ever. (in that it is a pokemon storyline) and everything was absolutely amazing. I knew these pokemon, but had never had a chance to use them. This is the chance to. so go and buy this game.

The story is pretty much the same for a Mario game, but that's fine. The graphics are outstanding, the galaxies are beautiful, the 3D gameplay is really, really awesome, and the characters are interesting, though not important. All the power-ups are really fun, as are the comet levels, though the comet levels are incredibly hard. There are seven worlds, each with about 12? levels. This game is really long, and has a ton of replayability, trying to get every star and every comet medal. This game is just an absolute joy, and possibly the best game in the WORLD!

Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon

Jun 29, 2011
Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon is a turn-based RPG that tells the story of Marth, a young prince who has to go into hiding after his home is taken over and must come back to defeat the shadow dragon and reclaim his throne. The story has over twenty chapters, and the levels are long and often very hard. when a character dies, they're dead permanently. they don't come back. so be careful. there are over twenty different character classes, and many of them can be changed or enhanced. There are many different weapons as well as a weapons triangle, axes beat lances, lances beat swords, and swords beat axes. The graphics are fine for the DS, though not groundbreaking, and the story is pretty good. the characters are pretty cool, but Radiant Dawn's are better. the gameplay is really good and there are six difficulty levels for you to choose from. So no matter what kind of gamer you are, if you have a DS get this game.

Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn

Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn is the sequel to Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance on the Gamecube, and is a strategic turn-based RPG that has you fighting as four different groups over four chapters and 30+ levels. This game is pretty challenging, as when a character dies they are dead forever, so you really have to plan your moves ahead. There are also some rock, paper scissor components, like axes overpower lances, lances outreach swords, and swords outmaneuver axes, or that pegasus knights(they're actually pretty awesome) are weak to arrows. all this adds up to some serious strategic gameplay. An awesome thing about this game is the customization, namely what skills you award your characters, or what weapons to buy/use. You'll have to be careful with your money. Another awesome part is the Laguz, half man half animal characters that can change into their animal form when the transformation gauge is filled up. But be careful, their strength is doubled while shifted, but they're really weak when in human form. There are so many things about this game that are awesome. The graphics are great, even for the wii, and the fight scenes, while lengthy, are really cool. (and can be switched off) The games story is really awesome, told over four parts from the perspective of war-torn daein, peaceful crimea and beast-nation gallia. The story really comes together and is pretty original, though slightly far-fetched. The gameplay is great, though it can be frustrating when your favorite character dies on the last turn. If you are a very casual gamer, give this a pass. If you are a challenge seeker, fan of turn-based RPGs, or are anywhere in between pick this game up. (though good luck finding it in stores, it is really rare)

I have to give it a good score, because it's good. Have you noticed how almost all of the games and movies directed towards kids get bad reviews? That's because ADULTS are writing reviews for KID material, almost all of which does not apply to them or is beneath/behind them. Well, i'm a kid, and i can tell you that this game is awesome. The core gameplay is somewhat simple, and it gets a tiny bit repetitive, but this only helps the game along. At first it seems like the game will be really short. There are six "dungeons" plus a battle royale on each level, and there are four levels. However, within each dungeon, there are four floors, each with around one hundred pokemon on it. However, when you beat the fourth floor, there is also a boss pokemon. There are four levels, or ranks. C,B,A,S. When you beat S you unlock a new gamemode that is exactly the same stages only filed with Sinnoh pokemon as opposed to the prior Kanto. When you beat that, you unlock another gamemode. Figure the third one out when you get the game. $15 isn't very much, and whether this game is worth it or not, you won't really otice that you're $15 short. The controls are great, the graphics are wonderful, the game is fast with no lag, and there is no story. But the lack of a story just helps. basically, this game is fun to all pokemon fans, all fans of collecting, all fans of catching em all, all gauntlet fans, and all 100V1 fans. But that is the specific target audience. You could still like it even if you are not one of these things.

World of Goo is an amazing game. There are plenty of levels to keep you busy, they are often quite challenging, and the graphics, sounds and signboards are awesome. You can go up against people across the country to build the highest goo tower, or you can play through the seven areas, each with some 20 strategic, hard as hell but really fun levels. (that is actually an overstatement, some are quite hard while others are really relaxing) This game is hilarious, and is very rewarding when you finally beat that one level. Go and get it. I would give it a ten, but it's more of a 9.5 because of all the frustration. You have been warned.

Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem

I got this game after playing mario vs donkey kong 2 (see my review) and i have to say, this is much better. Unlike the second, this newest game isn't stupidly complex, and while controlling multiple characters at once, getting them to separate doors, and doing it withing a certain time does get frustrating, you don't get the hopeless feeling that you get from MVDK2. The levels feel difficult, but beatable, and you'll want to replay them and get all the mario cards and trophies. There are also bonus levels, unlocked after earning a certain number of mario letters, and building your own levels, while not exciting for me, may be enjoyable for you. If you can wait a bit, you can even download levels built by others. The graphics are great, the controls are good, but the story isn't really a story. Then again, it would be worse with a story. There are tons of levels, so if you want to, get it. It's really a 7.5.

I am sorry, but this game isn't that great. It starts off great, with beautiful graphics, a nice cutscene, and really solid gameplay and level design. Then at about world three, things get stupidly complex, and all the fun goes right out of it. This is really only for those people who love both frantic scrolling, tapping and rubbing, rigorous level memorization, and replaying a level repeatedly until you beat it. For me, it really wasn't fun. It was just too complex.

With so many (really good) user scores, I know my review won't make a dent in the average. Still, this is worth writing. SSBB is the best game I have ever played. I can say that with absolute confidence. Is this targeted to little kids? NO! This game is for everyone, and even MK fans would enjoy this. The story is crazy good, i mean absolutely amazing, i mean better tha anything you've ever seen. The graphics are absolutely marvelously polished, and the environments look fabulous. The stages are more diverse and exciting, but don't worry! Some of the old stages from melee are back! As are some of the characters. That's where this game truly shines. There are so many characters, and all of them are fun to play with. Also, there are more items to play around with, and the new final smashes make you feel like you're going super saiyan. (Sadly, super sonic is as close as it gets) There are a few clones, but who cares? There are a ton of differences between characters, and every character is amazing. The controls are completely responsive, and don't screw around, and the camera works fine. the cutscenes look great, and really help an already great storyline. You know, I actually traded this game in? Yeah, bad idea. here i am, typing this, waiting until my birthday so i can have it again. Yes, it is good enough to provide limitless replayability, great stories, and make you want it even after hundreds of hours of play. I swear to god, if you buy something else before this, I will find you. I wish i had an eleven. TEN!

Call of Duty: Black Ops is an amazing game. Yes, the PS3 and 360 versions are better, but this version is good as well. Of course the Wii can't fully compete with PS3 and 360, but this gets pretty close. It's the same game as on the PS3 and 360, and is done beautifully considering it is the Wii console. This game is great, and not just for die-hard pokemon fans. Of course, being a pokemon instead of a trainer is a really nice touch, and ensures that there are many different things than the main series. There are so many new items, the moves sometimes work a bit differently, but the thing i love most is the idea of "recruiting" pokemon onto your team, rather than catching them. It adds a strategic layer to the game. The story is fantastic, and is very long. There is so much to do, and there is a ton of stuff after you beat the game. The graphics are great, the gameplay is solid, and this is overall a great game. There is some replayability, especially if you want to try out playing as different characters. If you get tired of this, DON'T sell it. Just tuck it away on your shelf. Because believe me. You'll want to play it again soon.

Final Fantasy IV: The Complete Collection is amazing! I realize that it isn't as hard as the other Final Fantasy's, that hasn't been changed, but it doesn't have to be. The graphics are absolutely amazing, both in and out of battle, and the story is very well put together. But as always, the world map is where it's at. The world map is huge, and complex enough to make you have to search, but not so complex as to leave saving and quitting in the middle of nowhere. This game is amazing, even better than Dissidia 012, and is one of the best games on the PSP. If you get any PSP game this year, this is the one to get. If you like RPG's you will absolutely adore this. If you don't like RPG's you will still love it, because it is absolutely stunning.
