Unless you LOVE open world car games this might not be for you. As you would expect from Mad Max is that the game play involve the car in some ways. Me on the other hand just didn't fall in love with the idea of it being so centered around the car. I love racing game but this kind of car mechanics is just not for me. I would imagine if you liked the twisted metal series you would pick this game up.
Destruction galore! that is the best part of this game. running around F'in stuff up is a lot of fun and a sight to behold. But to tell you the truth thats it. not much else to talk about. The open world is large and beautiful but sadly repetitive. Every base is the same, every town is the same and every mission almost feel the same. You may find nothing wrong with that at first but 5-10 hours will make you want to move on. The story is cringe worthy at every turn. The main character is cool, nothing wrong but when he and other characters start to talk and play out the story. Well lets just put it this way, you'll be wishing you were deaf. It's not the voice acting it just leaves you with the thought of "Who the hell says this **** You will also find some bugs, but nothing game breaking, but a good bit and very easy to run in to. Also the frame rate will drop a good bit when things get crazy.
Story: short and sweet is the best way to put it, fun and non overbearing and doesn't takes itself so serious. Online; FIRE. Ive played this years (2016) Call of Duty, Battlefield 1, DOOM, Overwatch. This is a close second to Overwatch's online game play. The only reason i'd put Overwatch ahead of this game is because I have never experience anything like Overwatch. Battlefield 1 is much slower and a higher skill is required to be have some fun. I really don't thing Battlefield is a game for everyone, you will need to put a bit more time in to the game. And their is no reason to even compare this to COD. COD is leagues under all FPS shooters that came out this year AKA TRASH. If you want fast game play, sharp gun play, and just overall fun. This is the game. I didn't even tell you about the titans this is just a game you have to play!
I have never played a Ratchet & Clank game before this and playing this makes me want to play every game in the franchise. This is by far one of my favorite games this year (2016). Story, graphics, game play, everything is on point. With all of this the one and only down side? Game length. If this game was only 1-2 hours longer I would feel satisfied. But i'm left with the feeling of heart broke and longing for more.
(I might be a bit bias) I have always want to play a game where I was sniper so this game made me really happy. I just wish the game a little bit more expansive in the map that you play on. The story in nothing too exciting but it wasn't boring at all. Pretty much your typical war story. The mechanics are solid game play is fun. I would say that this game is not for someone looking to run in gun, don't thing you'll be running around quickscoping dude all day then you have something else coming.
Extremely solid game play. Lots of fun with a good bit of difficulty. Every level teaches you something new or pushes you to put your skill to the test. The art style is amazing. The "story" is a bit vague as far as what I got out of it. But this is definitely a pick up if your in to arcade games. If you don't have any skill at playing video games or you're not good at playing reaction based games this game will destroy your soul.
Exceptionally easy to pick up and play. If you are not a big FPS fan but you are a fan of Star Wars you will have a great deal of fun with this game. On the other hand if you're a FPS vet this game might not have it all for you. This game is just stunningly beautiful. You will feel like you are really in this universe, the sound is also done very well. The problems come in with the lack of features at launch day but that is no longer a problem. Lack of depth might also be look at as a negative. But overall this is a solid game.
(i have not played any Doom before this one) A simple and easy FPS, that starts off slow. By mid way you'll start too feel the speed of the game. The story will not surprised. A few missions in and you'll have an idea what might happen next. I feel like this is a one time play type of story. Weapons feel very 'soft', movement is very sharp and butter smooth. When first starting off the jump is pretty trash, but soon enough you'll get a double jump. The online is very simple almost no depth. Cool customization (visual) but you barely see any of it at all while playing. IDK I really was feeling the hype for this game, and I never played a Doom before so I was all in on this and was pretty disappointed. Nothing is wrong but I feel like it's a very vanilla experience.
By far the best FPS this Gen so far, hands down. The only on-line only game I'll be playing for a while. Every character is so different and unique. At first you may feel that some character are OP and others are useless. But you have to understand that everyone has a counter character. They want you to switch out characters as much as possible. If someone is owning you, the switch to a different hero. Never play as the same character the whole game. This game is the complete opposite of a "bro shooter"
Why was this game remastered? Why? Yes the story is good. But nothing that is worth a remastering of. Did not age well at all, remastered or not. Gameplay dry and boring (if you like TellTale games you might like this). No reason to buy this if you have never played the original. And one that missed the original just skip out on this. You will be saving your self a lot of time. This game just feels bad playing it, yes it's and older game from an older gen. But if your going to remaster something this old just do a remake of the game.
Side scrolling hack and slash with a medium difficulty for any one thats into the genre. Looks really good, controls a bit airy i feel. **** much really to talk about. I never played the first one so I don't know how it will compare. If your into retro style games give this a go!
OMG This game was made for me. When I play this game it just makes me feel like a kid again. (When live was easy and simple and fun) Story is enjoyable, Visually beautiful, game play too much fun(a bit simplistic). Down Side? I wish the game was longer. I have played it about 3 time now and I'm just in lave with it. Not at all hard to get in too. Very pick up and play "maybe too easy for some"
Retro style side scrolling action galore. If your not in to Side scrollers this is not for you from the start. But if you are this is going too be fun. The game was so much fun at time I didn't even cared if I died I kept playing. A down side to this game is the balance to the characters. I understand that by giving them different abilities is going to add to the "difficulty" and change up the game play a bit. But some of them just feel really useless while others are OP. You may even feel disappointed when you revive as one of the lesser characters.
I must say this game is so much fun. A lord of the rings story, with Batman & Assassin's Creed game play. Look good, plays good, story is good (i don't know how die hard LOTR fans will feel about it) The one real down side for me was the size of the open world and variations of the locations. Every thing takes place in Mordor so things kind of look the same for the most part. A must play in my book.
Sleeping dogs, more like dumb dogs. Story it was fairly good, a run of the mill guy leaves home land and comes back to home land a new man, but doing the same **** Gameplay - fighting mechanics kind of **** really bad. It very easy to learn very button mashing. Much like (Arkham batman games, Madmax, and Shadow of Mordor) but very very bad. What makes it bad is the timing of the prompts and aiming. It is also very boring combat. Driving **** compared to Watch Dogs & GTA (granted Watch Dogs in considered next gen). This is an "open world" game a VERY dead boring, skeleton of an open world. This game just doesn't hold up well at all. Why did they make a "Definitive Edition" of this game in the first place? Nothing really looks all that better. Yes you get the "DLC" with it but IF you must really have to play this game Please don't pay more then $20 for this.
Absolute trash, no content what so ever. I was really hype for this game when it came out but it was just so lackluster i wanted to punch someone. I blame this on the developer and more on the publisher.
A next gen platforming game that was supposed to be funny, but falls on it's butt. Not really funny in anyway what so ever. The game mechanics are good but the game has no real challenge. The story is not bad by any means but nothing new in anyway.
The game it a lot of fun, but can be tedious at times especially with the batmoblie/tank battles. The story might let you feel let down or really easy for you to figure out who is who and doing what. Game play is fantastic, smooth and never lets you down.
A very enjoyable RPG, with tons of lore. Each character has tons of back story, and not just filler or something tossed together last minute. Game play is solid nothing I can really pick at for the most part. Tons of different outcomes. The world is very big you will be using fast travel all the time. And that mean a lot of your time will be watching the loading screen. If you die a lot more time will be spent watching the loading screen. Played the game on normal and it was pretty easy. When I finished the game I was a bit sad even if the out come was what I wanted. The story was that good. (my opinion) Geralt (who you will be playing as 98% of the time) to some can feel un-human and un-relatable. (I don't have that problem) But thats the thing he's a lone wolf, warrior, and outcast. So your not really going to relate on all levels. This game is almost a must play if your looking for a story and RPG
If you're not a hard core fighting game fan this is not for you. This Game was made for competitive play only, every thing else is second. The way it should be in a fighting game. You have the classic characters and 4 new characters that are very cool. You have a new battle system that mixes old mechanics with a few new tricks. By far one of the more tactical fighting games out there, with a nice learning curve to separate the new form the vets and the good from the bad.
Your childhood dream comes to life. Simple combat but fun. Looks beautiful, fun story, the only down side is that its a bit short a weekend or two weekend of playing. When it comes to licensed games not to many come to mind when you ask about quality. This goes up with the very few that pass in my book.
Not your same old boring Call of Duty game. So if you're looking for something like COD this is not it. By the makers of Halo This feels "KINDA" Halo-ish. Gun play is great, supers feel great "superpowers" (if you're looking for something thats more based in "reality" this is not for you at all.) This is a Sci-fi, Fantasy, MOBA-Lite. The BIG problem is the story very open ended and not very detailed. Another problem is the repetitiveness of the game play you'll be playing the same missions over and over just to level up. You almost have to play with friends to get the full experience of this game. I had tons of fun because i really didn't care about the story (i don't play games for story) and I had friends who played the game. And i'm a **** for leveling things up. (From pokemon to RPG characters) I gave it a 7 because I know not everyone can get over those flaws.
Is This game that bad? No but there is not much game to play in the first place. You'll play this game for no more then 30 min and get tired of this. It's just so bare bones you wonder how or who is really calling this a game. Yes it's cool driving around shooting trucks up but you can do that in twisted metal and thats a real game. Yes you can have fun in this but not for long.
I Love DBZ and one day I hope we get a AAA quality game. But this is far from it. The look of the game is PS2 at best. I understand art style but this has nothing to do with what art style they picked it just looks bad. The hub world is just so bland with nothing to do. Its just a big empty space. The combat is okay but at time can be cheap. Story I didn't like is at all. Bearable but not something i want to tell my brother or other DBZ fans about. If you really want to play this game please pay $30 or less pay any more and you'll make ME cry.
Story based platformer that just isn't fun and with a run of the mill story. It's very cool to look at and explore but it's just not any fun. Very slow, easy puzzles and dry. I hate saying bad things about games and I wish every games was good, but this was just a waste of my time.
Extremely fun, cute and original. Do you like anime, fantasy, and light hearted kind of games? Then this is for you. This is a remaster not a remake. From the PSVITA to the PS4 the world might feel small and lack luster compared to other big open world PS4 games. But that doesn't stop this game from having big personality and quality. Fun for any anime loving fan, cool story and leaves you wanting more.
Extremely fun, challenging and action packed online. Single player on the other hand is still all that minus some of the fun. Story would be so much better if I didn't have to read it half the time (I REALLY HATE READING IN VIDEO GAMES) This games is best played online in my opinion, you don't have to communicate if you don't want to! One of the best games on psn and it's under $60. If you like twin stick shooters this is one of the best, if you don't then this game won't change your mind about the genre.
