Narratively, this game is a 10 out of 10, So much so I believe it to be possibly among the best original story for video games ever. Gameplay is a bit more inconsistent but it never falls below a 7/10. While it seems like just a basic trick, but adding the parry mechanic to turn based combat did wonders to make it far more engaging. Lastly, the music is an all timer. Wonderful experience.

Palworld is the game we always wanted Pokemon to be. Nintendo have not created a revolutionary Pokemon game since blue and red. Everything since then have been weak attempts at refreshing their IP. Palworld takes the basic premise and invites other genres into it’s world in an exciting way. Elements of Minecraft, GTA, Animal Crossing, and even Elding Ring clash with the concept of Pokemon to create something just new and incredible.

Just an incredible game. Both narrative and gameplay are executed on such a high level, that it actually shocks you how much and how big it is. There are misses, particularly narratively to me, but again they feel like like seashells on a beautiful sandy beach. The battle system was perfect but having played Remake it doesn’t feel revolutionary, more reaffirming the series’ quality. What shocked me here was the world, and especially the towns. And it must be said, to get all of it on initial purchase with no need for DLC or micro transactions is so refreshing. Just wonderful.
