Sometimes you just gotta lay back and have fun with a movie... yeah no I'm not giving this one a pass. There are so many other movies that do what Free Guy tries to do but better (Lego Movie, Truman Show to name a few). This movie was delayed by the pandemic and it shows. It has a pretty good first half, but the last half ruins the entire film for me. It's plagued with terrible editing, cringy writing, plot holes, uncanny special effects, continuity errors, and awkward ADR dubs. This movie is lazy. Taika Watiti was, unfortunately, an annoying antagonist. I'm getting tired of Ryan Reynolds playing himself in every damn movie, it's not charming anymore. I was able to enjoy myself for the most part during the first half, but I can't just ignore all of this movie's blaring problems. Gun violence is a serious problem guys

As someone who's not particularly a huge Bond fan, I thought this was a great film. A strong cast and fantastic action, and a fitting conclusion for Craig as James Bond. Rami Malek played a great villain too. Although the movie is a bit goofy and the plot falters a bit, I was entertained the whole time. No matter how many bombs blow up in James Bond's face, he'll be ok, don't worry.

For a movie who's sole purpose was to set up the next one, this was still amazing. Equipped with a great cast and a story that richens its world deeply, this film was a blast to watch. worms

well... this is definitely not the best marvel movie, but certainly not the worst. Performances were overall pretty bland. The movie takes itself too seriously while goofiness surrounds it everywhere. The film starts off with around 5-6 paragraphs of exposition dump, and it's not fun to read like Star Wars. The writing is sloppy too, with many characters not being fleshed out and their motivations are not clear. With that being said, I had an absolute blast watching this with my friends. I was laughing the whole time... but not necessarily because the movie wanted me to.
