Sorry but the user score is far too high. The game in enormous but nothing really stands out. Boss fights feel whacky, enemies are all the same with different looks (you don't really have to adjust, just hack and slash), the dialogues are awful, there is literally not a single interesting character or a cohesive story. What troubles me most is how unintuitive and confusing every aspect of this game is - from quest design (!), puzzles, controls to menu. Don't get me wrong the game has its good sides and lots of potential but after around 140h I really feel burned out and even lack motivation to finish it.

I hated this game at first, then I fell in love with it. Takes an eternity to get used to all the systems especially how fighting works - but it's so worth it!!! Voice acting, story, quests, humor... everything is top notch. Especially the ending makes it perfect. Among the very best games of all time and a true 10/10 masterpiece!

Incredible! It is truly incredible how they made a bad game even worse. How is this even possible? The gameplay is getting worse and worse over the last 10 years - no one likes the direction they are taking it. No one wants an ultra real simulator, we want fast and captivating matches. The music is aweful, what happened to the energetic and cheerful soundtracks? But worst of all is the career mode menu... what did they think designing this? Did they even think? The minimalistic approach they took is disgusting to look at. The newly designed news-menu is not only far worse than it has been - it is so buggy it still shows me news and messages that are 3 seasons old and there is no way to get rid of them. I can't imagine anyone wanted even more overcomplicated ways to adjust your teams tactics, confusing training mechanics and so on. Where are sponsoring or other club customisations? More lively negotiations and a wide range of player messages is what we want, not super boring interviews. I can't believe people still pay full price for this crap.

After 4 a pause I bought Fifa 23 since it will be the last FIFA Game. The "good" thing is: everything still looks exactly the same. Basically everything from graphics to gameplay didn't change a bit including all errors and problems. There are so many bugs and a ridiculous amount of framerate drops. This is particularly shameful if you remember that games like Horizon: Forbidden West or God of War Ragnarök run flawlessly on the PS5. Even the game settings reset themselfs every time you start the game. This is a disgrace. How is it even possible there are almost no improvements in 4 years! What a shame.

It Takes Two8
Dec 27, 2022
It takes two is a really nice game for two players with a surprisingly emotional story. But you need a second person with a not so little amount of skills, otherwise you will have a very hard time since it really does take two people to complete each and every challange. The game was lucky to win Game of the Year, 2021 had no real challengers otherwise it would never stand a chance.

Bloodborne9
Oct 30, 2022
+ Like always supurb complex level design, brilliant looking grim game world with lots of details, impressive aesthetics
+ really cool combat, a good progression from Dark Souls since it's a lot faster and more dynamic
+ nice and varied standard enemies
+ complex and fascinating lore/story
+ amazing Soundtrack (even better in the DLC) - some of the best parts of the game are in the DLC (areas, bosses, weapons etc.)
- although I love From Softwares style of level connection I sometimes had no idea where to go next this time, it's a bit too chaotic in Bloodborne ~ boss fights are only okay overall, only few are very good (Gehrman, Father Gascoigne), most are quite bad (One Reborn, Rom, Witches of Hemwick etc.), at least there are some outstandingly amazing bosses in the DLC. Overall one of From Softwares best games and a must play if you like a good challenge! In my opinion certain highlights are missing in the main game like Sekiro or Elden Ring do offer. At least the DLC offers them. For me it's a 9+, not a complete masterpiece but an outstanding game.

A true gaming milestone. Marvelous world building, level design and art style. Amazing story with a lot of cool and creepy details and one of the most shocking plottwists in gaming history. Unfortunately shooting is not very good, the gameplay is quite outdated by now but aspects like hacking were already bad back when it came out first. I liked the music and sound effects. But I had huge problems with hearing the dialogue. Often splicers are screaming, fighting sounds occur and music is playing the same time a character talks to me via radio or when I want to listen to an audio diary. Sadly this is very annoying. Overall this was an amazing game when it was released and it is still a very good game today.

NieR: Automata - Game of the YoRHa Edition9
Aug 17, 2022
+ astonishing 3D level design and camera angles
+ nice voice actors in original japanese audio
+ feels like playing an anime, especially combat
+ cool retro style arcade shooting parts
+ interesting mixture of different genres and fighting systems (3D vs 2D)
+ impressivly deep story with lots of philosophic backround
+ no bugs or graphic errors
+ amazing very long fighting sequences + outstandingly creative ideas and gimmicks (like in menu, settings, the joke endings, Ending E)
+ great art style and animations in most moments - sexist design of 2B and A2 in contrast to their well written strong female characters
- combat often reduces to dodging and button smashing, learning the moveset of enemies is mostly not necessary as well as choosing a particular move of your character, the moveset of enemies is too repetative and easy to foresee
- the music is nice but too intense after a while
- sometimes lazy or bad animations like water surface or climbing stairs - route B is a bit too much like a boss rush of the same bosses you fought just a few hours before (when not doing sidequests) Overall a very unique gaming experience with lots of love for little details. A real must play!

Control: Ultimate Edition10
Jul 15, 2022
I did't know what to expect from this game. But I certainly didn't expect it will turn out to be a weird, braintwisting and utterly unique masterpiece. Courtney Hopes performance als Jesse Faden (the main character) is spot on, perfect voice acting and I love Jesse as a character. The game has great story telling with humor and lots of suspense as well as masterclass world building (documents and audio recodings). Not to mention the amazing graphics and the very unique art style (reminds me of Stanley Kubrick movies with all that geometry, lighting contrasts and 60/70s interor and technology). There is clever level design, detailed decoration and realistic enviroment. The fighting system is really cool, the combination of superhuman powers and shooting with different kind of weapons mix quite fine and lead to exciting fast-paced-battles. The sourroundings react to your actions really nicely (things break, explode etc.). Overally Control has a really well made atmosphere with build up suspense, psychological horror elements and firghtening enivorments. But it manages to never get too scary, just the right amount. I really liked the insane attention to details (adding so much additional stuff like very long handwritten texts or forever ongoing voicelines add to the world immersive feeling). The ashtray maze level on its own is a gaming masterpiece, one of the best video game missions ever. The length of the game is just right, for people who really liked it Control even offers two quite good DLCs. In addition to that I have to mention the flawless programming: there is an impressive high quality of effects and physical behaviour of objects, I never encountered bugs or graphical errors. The sheer amount of documents, audio recordings etc. especially the ones that are linked together shows me Remedy really put a lot of effort and love into this game. What I have to criticize is that raytracing looks stunning on the PS5 but feels weird and too irritating since it produces a stutter and blurring when moving the camera. Another minor problem is that enemies are too repetative and mostly the same (except the mold zombies which I think feels like a nice hommage to TLOU). Fighting parts always feel the same wave style, there are no tactical aproaches and only rarely different situations - I wish for the sequel to improve in this aspect. Another improvement for a sequel could be to move the weapon form choosing to the directional buttons of the controller, this would make it possible to choose from more different weapon forms fluently. You find weapon mods and personal mods too often, they really stuff in the inventory and are mostly useless since most are weaker than the ones you already have. The translation of the documents or subtitles into german is sometimes quite poorly, I started with english audio and german texts but soon switched to both english since a lot of the humor or cleverness of the texts is lost in grammatical errors or obvious google translator mistakes. One thing that set me off was that you sometimes instant die when falling off a cliff, this ruines the game flow. Personally I think the ending felt too rushed, it would be better to leave the player a break before the final fight - I was confused and surprised to find myself in the final battle all of the sudden. Overall control is a really outstanding game. It shines with its creativity and innovative ideas. The only big flaws for me are that I personally can't use the raytracing mode because it makes me motion sick and that the enemies get too repetative after some time. Still its very uniqueness and amazing setting, story and world design make it in my opinion a 10/10 masterpiece.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice10
May 31, 2022
If there ever was a game that deserves to be called a masterpiece, then it's Sekiro. The visuals, the gameplay and the story are stunning. The combat system is so unique, innovative and brilliantly carried out that for me even the very high difficulty doesn't affect the joy of fighting in a bad way. On the contrary, the difficulty forces you the internalize the art of fighting like a shinobi and adds to the feeling. With this combat system I always felt like I have the abilities to defeat my opponents, I was sure through hard work I will gather the skills to succeed even in the hardest fights. Unlike some bosses in the Dark Souls games, Sekiro always gave me the faith and confidence that I will overcome the challenge I am facing. I hope fromsoftware will continue to use Sekiros fighting system and way of story telling in their future work.

Elden Ring is an outstandingly unique masterpiece that will reward your patience and willpower. Perfection is something that doesn't exist. There will never be a game without a flaw or things that could be better. But every playtime in Elden Ring is magical and exciting. Elden Ring raised the bar for all future open world games by a lot, especially since the lastest open world games tended to disappoint. This is the kind of game that makes everything you played before now look worse than it was. To conclude: Elden Ring is not a perfect game, it is not the game of the century - but it will go down in history as one of the best games of all time.

Mafia 2 is a good game but nothing special. Overall I liked the story of part 1 better, part 2 did feel too similar and was not very original. The definitive edition sadly has lots of graphic bugs. Really sad that they are not fixing the warning Leo quest, the end of the quest when you reach his house is completely broken. It took me a dozen attempts and some game-restarts to make it work. I think players are not asking too much when they want game breaking bugs to be fixed.

Horizon Forbidden West8
Mar 3, 2022
First of all Aloy is absolutely beautiful, and second even if she wasn't it is insane to give a bad rating because you don't find the female main character unattractive. Shame on you misogynic haters. Feels like Aloy is dealing with idiots not only inside the game.
Now to the gameplay. Horizon: Forbidden West is setting a new standard in graphics, must be the best looking game I have ever played so far (I think no one can deny this). The voice acting (especially the difference in tone between Aloy & Beta) is amazing. They improved a lot of aspects people suggested after Part 1 - better facial animations, more free climbing and a grapple hook system, and at least they tried to make better side quests. The flying option is magical, how the Slitherfang wriggles up on rocks or small towers is so intimidatingly cool, there are new interesting twists to the cauldrons and the Tallnecks, the new diving system especially in LasVegas is nice. The landscape is far more diverse and richly filled with life - really breathtaking landscapes, I like the many Faro robot corpses lying around together with other leftovers from the war, especially amazing are the Horus Titans here and there - you can see the war was far more intense in the West than in the areas in part 1. The story is a good continuation but fails to reach the originality and goose bump moments of part 1. I also like the development of Aloys character and I love the new introduced characters.
But there are negative aspects too, the weapon system became too complicated (f.e. too many amunition types, some of them don't even have a explanation or not as effective as the were in the first game) and the spear became quite useless (can't upgrady anymore, machines constantly stunlock you with damage too fast before you can combi attack them). So I liked the fighting system a lot more in Part1. I am still missing interesting side quests (the side character related quests were a good improvement tho), and I don't understand why the really nice flashpoint option to chose between dialogues (heart, brain, fist) is so rarely used. I also miss the wonderful richness of audio and text massages to find about what happened in the past (but this is kind of owed to the fact Aloy already knows most thing about past, the datapoints were one of my highlights in part1) - most of the ones in part 2 are quite boring. Upgrading good gear or armour becomes too hard after the first or second upgrade already.
Overall Forbidden West is a 8+/10, sadly still not a masterpiece. They improved a lot of aspects while in most other aspects they failed to reach the greatness of part 1. I am really looking farward to part 3 and my biggest wish remained unfullfilled - I WANT TO FIGHT A HORUS TITAN!!! EVERYONE WANTS TO FIGHT ONE OF THESE MONSTERS!!! :D PLEAAAASEEEE!

Pokemon Legends: Arceus3
Feb 20, 2022
I really really really can't understand how people can give 10 points to a substandard game. This game looks, feels, sounds and plays worse than games that came out 15 years ago. It may be kind of a new start for the franchise (I am a huge fan or at least I was). But the grafics are a disaster, the controlls are bad, there is no voice acting, sound affects are lazy made, animations are ridiculously bad or non existing. Please be honest and compare it with games like God of War 4, The Last of Us, RDR2 etc., these are todays 10 points standard. Or even compare it with the level of other Nintendo games: Breath of the Wild, Mario Odyssey, Mario Galaxy, Luigis Mansion... Pokemon became Nintendo's worst games by far and this game is sadly not doing any better.

I gave the game a try since everyone is so dissapointed Sony canceled Part 2. This game is so raw, unpolished and bad overall I can't believe it came out 2019!!! For example how the game harshly changes from gameplay to cut scenes throws me out of experience everytime, it is so badly done like a PS3 era game but saying this is an insult to The Last of Us and other well done PS3 games. The combat system may be realistic but really frustrating it nearly kills the game for me. But I could oversee this if the gameplay and the characters were great but I don't like them too. The whole biker thing is nothing for me. I get no bond with Deacon, I even think he and his brother are not more human than the freakers. The first game in a very long time I didn't finish.

Mass Effect: Andromeda7
Jan 10, 2022
From all I saw and heard about ME: Andromeda my expectations were quite low. But I am positively surprised. Under all them bad animations, graphic problems, bad written dialogues and tons of bugs there is actually a good game. Yes it is different from ME 1-3, but different doesn't mean bad. I like their new approach - exploring and colonize a new galaxy. The story was quite okay and I very much liked the idea of making a planet inhabitable again. I really grew close to the characters especially Drack, Jaal, PeeBee and Cora. The jetbag is a good improvement. On the bad side one must mention the (after years of time for improvements) still aweful looking facial animations. Especially the eye movement is it what ruins their expressions. The dialogues are often very weird and sometimes super creepy when flirting. There is too less main content and too much go-there-and-do-this-really-uninteresting-thing sidequests. It's a pity they didn't include a day-night cycle for the planets. Plants and other ornamental objects mostly have no physical structure you can touch, you slide right trough them like a ghost (I remember Mass Effect 2 already had a bump-into-things mechanic). Generelly the main character never touches things when you interact with something, he just taps on his multitool - this is lazy programming. Not to mention the huge amount of bugs and even some game crashes, I played this game 2021 on a PS5 - I am scared to think about how it must have been at realese date. EA really messed this up as usual but I love the Mass Effect universe so much that it was enough to like the game. In total I enjoyed playing and I think a Part 2 really could save this story. There are so many open questions I want a answer to: Where comes the Scourge from? Who killed Jien Garson and why? Will Tann try to become a autocratic ruler?

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy9
Dec 4, 2021
After the Avangers game and Spider man: Miles Morales my expectations were... to say they were low would be a immense understatement. Since I am a big fan of the GOTG movies I still gave it a try. And I am really amazed. They absolutely captured the chaotic and crazy humor and atmosphere of the movies. The grafics on the PS5 are top tier, the planets are rich in detail and very appealing designed. The fighting system is not the best ever but the great and heartwarming story makes up for it. The soundtrack is like in the movies a masterpiece. The characters and the context is more based on the comics but movies fans like I still will understand the most. Gamora for me is even a lot better than in the movies + I absolutely love the space lama. The decission system gives it a high replay value. Please a DLC or a Part 2 and more Marvel games as long as they are like this one.

Dark Souls Remastered8
Nov 10, 2021
I tried the game, I failed and I gave it 6 points... then months later I tried again and everyone who mastered DS knows this feeling - suddenly everything became clear. The grafics are bad, the controlls are even worse, it is buggy, it is unfair and it tells you nothing about how to do any of the things you have to do. But that all doesn't seem to matter, it is amazing. Sometimes only the big picture is what really counts. + what really amazes me is the fact that there are so many optional areas the game also doesn't tell you about for example Ash Lake, Painted World etc. Everywhere are hidden paths, items, bosses - I can't imagine how many hours it took and how much imagination people needed to find everything hidden in this game. Praise the sun!

If I would put in context with the other game reviews I did it would get less points. But I think you can't compare it to other games because this is 100% about South Park. Gameplay, animations, grafics, music... everything is just a basis for the story, the characters and the whole South Park feeling. And woooow did they great. Tons of jokes and insiders true fans will love, it is a typical South Park story. The whole game feels like you dived into a season of south park.

Kena: Bridge of Spirits8
Oct 11, 2021
+ impressive grafics and art design
+ rotts as entertaining companions with good implementation into gameplay
+ strong storytelling with deep moments
+ challenging and spectacular fights
+ music and atmosphere
+ very straight forward game, I like this aspect not every game needs a giant open world - weird jumping animation (please fix that, it looks like Kena beams up in the air and falls back down)
- no animals, the grafics are amazing and lively but there are no birds, fish or insects that would make this world come alive
- very unbalanced difficulty, the easy mode is far too easy but medium mode can already be brutally hard, especially the fight against the Hunter
- the parkour part in the final fight ruins the fight partly for me, overall the final fight is too chaotic and not on the level of the great other fights, this is very dissapointing for me (~ the game is kind of philosophic and wants to be deep but what is its message? It is useless to try to change bad things happening to your loved ones?) Overall I liked the game a lot. It feels like Kena Bridge of Spirits tried something new. The story feels very original and remembers me of the legendary Studio Ghibli movies. I personally loved the rotts. The grafics are breathtaking and some of the fights are souls like hard and very cool (especially the fight against the Woodsmith is a gaming masterpiece moment). I think it is impressive that this game was developed by such a small team (aaaand is actually amazing, something you can't say about Biomutant which was also developed by a small studio but is a disaster). After release I read a lot of fake reviews here like someone said "it is so bad and easy you can play it in just 3h" this is just wrong. On medium difficulty it took me about 15h, if you just run through everything and ignore every magic aspect of the game - then you will finish it faster but you played it wrong. A really nice game!

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD7
Aug 21, 2021
My opinion about this game is divided. Motion control is even worse than on the old Wii. But controlling the sword with the curser comes with its own problems. Always holding down L to move the camera is really annoying. Pushing the left cursor in to conter with the shield becomes quite painfull after some time in boss fights since you need to keep holding ZL the same time to focus on your enemy. Was a motion controlled or now cursor controlled sword an original idea? - Yes. Is it practical or fun? - No! Should it be repeated? NO!!! They tried something and it didn't work out, no need to hate on the game - end of the debate. The story is okay I guess, not very original or surprising but Nintendo games are never about the story. Although all those things kept annoying me I liked playing the game. There are dungeons and places with so much originality. And I liked the higher difficulty it offered. All the moments with the master sword are as magical as always. It is no masterpiece, they could have done better but it is a good game and it is worth playing.

Funny to read how triggered people are about the ending they rate the whole game bad. The game is a masterpiece from beginning to (provided you got the extended cut installed) the end. Either people giving it 0 points because their language is not supported and they are angry (come on play it in english with subtitles the voice acting is amazing especially Martin Sheen) or up to 10 points because they played it and acknowledge its greatness. So don't let the low score fool you - this game/Mass Effect 1-3 is a blockbuster!!! The story, the decission system and the characters are so overwhelmingly good I can't even tell you if there is something bad about these games. Every minor issue pales in contrast to the amazing overall performance. The improved graphics and built-in DLCs of the Legendary Edition are making this Edition even better. It is hard to believe this game trilogy is already a decade old. The 3rd game is the best of them it is like playing a hollywood blockbuster. And since the extended cut ending is already preinstalled I liked the ending very much. It was a good round up of the overall meaning the story of alle 3 games.

I won't even start about how terrible EA is or what an impudence the loot boxes were. The single player mode was okay. But what really sets me off is the gameplay itself. All my attempts of playing were waiting 10 minutes for my match to start, spawning and instantly dying 30 times and then hoping the connection doesn't crash so after 10 minutes loading the next match I can spawn and die again a dozen times. I never got to know more of the game, I never had the feeling that I can participate in a match. The base equipment is so bad every advanced player kills you before you can even blink which causes you to never get any good equipment but whithout that you can never compete with them. This is the EA circle of hell, only way to get out was paying real money for the loot boxes. When they finally removed them they ironically removed the only way to break free from this vicious circle as well. It is time to stop buying EAs games.

Funny to say I loved this game. Yes it was not much - only few good game modes only a bunch of maps. But I probably spent hundrets of hours with it, for me it was the first shooter I liked. I am not a 80h a week player so I am never good enough to get all the good updates and dominate the matches. I think Battlefront was really good balanced - even a total noob can enjoy the matches you don't get killed instantly after you spawn. I never lost interest because of constantly dying - so I became better started to dominate matches and enjoyed the excitement and tension capturing check points gave me. Not a good game but I like it too much to give it a bad rating.
