Excellent game, nothing else like it on console. There are bugs (as the negative reviews will tell you) but the devs have already announced their intention to fix them. This game is the friendlier cousin of Mordhau, both are great in their own right but Chiv 2 is definitely more casual. Phenomenal amounts of fun.

A very good dungeon crawler that will definitely scratch that nostalgia-itch. Lots of depth to customisation, very rewarding combat. Story however is quite generic and uninspired, and the noises the Chocobo makes during cut-scenes are diabolical and far too cutesy for my liking. I'm 27 years old and find this quite annoying and there is no option to mute or change the voice audio. However, on the basis that the game itself is great it is definitely forgivable.

A good remaster **** game, shame Activision couldn't wait to capitalise on cosmetic microtransactions.

A lot of these 'professional' reviews can be so out of touch. The game is as great as it ever was. If you're a fan of classic JRPGs then give this one a go. An honest, well told, classic RPG that lots of us still long for.

An excellent port of my favourite game of all time. Some of the NPC textures didn't get the same love the main cast of the game got, but it's so easy to forgive on the basis that this game is a 20 year old timeless classic. Thank you, Square Enix.

Easily the best fighting game this generation. Keeps me coming back time and again. Fantastic to play with friends on a couch too.

Great fun if you're already a Warriors/RoTK fan, stupid price and should not be digital-only. My only complaint is that it's quite easy to win, even on the hard difficulties. I am about 50% through the game and I haven't lost a battle yet, I haven't even had an officer die.

Very disappointing in comparison to virtually all of the previous games. I was actually extremely excited for this release, I actually took the day off work to play it as I'd eagerly awaiting for months for this to hit the shelves, so I got up early and got down to the local games retailer and bought it, very excited. Firstly I was pretty upset about the roster cutbacks, I lost my 2 main characters (Lei/Roger) and I'm not the only one... Where are the other classic characters??? Mokujin? Armor King? Marduk?????? Instead they are replaced by weeb-friendly characters like Eliza and Lucky Chloe. The guest character could have been a good idea, if they took a character from a 3D fighter and reworked it rather than using Akuma from 2D Street Fighter, just feels wrong. Story mode is about as interesting as paint drying, the new screw system just isn't as fun and fast paced as the juggle/bound system on T6 & TTT2, and don't even get me started on Rage Art, way to dumb down the game and make it accessible for any old button-masher to win! Namco/Harada did this game for the money and definitely not for the die-hard fans. However I will commend the deep character customisation, it can be pretty good fun messing around with all the possibilities there. TL;DR - personal opinion 4/10 due to lack of content esp for age-old Tekken fans like myself (played since the first) also Namco's plan to monopolise on DLC by releasing about 15 chars on roster then releasing the rest as extra payable content, wtf happened??? But if you're a casual fighter fan and looking for something to pick up and play with friends - this is probably the best 1v1 fighter on the shelves for PS4/XB1 right now, but keep your eyes peeled. Much better fighting games are on the horizon.

This is the 3rd RotTK game I've ever played, I have RotTK 8 on PS2 (I still play it) and 11 on PC. Romance of the Three Kingdoms 13 is a game with an extremely steep learning curve that is most definitely not for everyone, honestly the base game without DLC was a little bit of a disappointment, for the base alone I would probably have rated it a 7/10. The reason for this is compared to 8 it feels like a lot of the previous freedoms enjoyed in the latter have gone, there is no random weather/disaster, no war council, limited things to do in the cities, can't start coalitions... The list kinda goes on but don't let that deter you, if this is your first RotTK then you've probably picked up the right one, admittedly it does feel simplified in comparison to previous instalments but perhaps that was an angle that Koei Tecmo was going for, maybe they were trying to get more players on board. HOWEVER -- if you can stomach the gargantuan price of £28.99 for the Fame & Strategy DLC then you will be rewarded with a deep, innovative strategy game with lots to do and lots of freedoms. It is a shame that the PUK wasn't included in the base game (lazy, Koei???) as honestly with the DLC the game becomes probably about 5x more interesting. Weather is back, create private armies, capture gates & outposts as well as cities, go to the tavern and pick up requests, train stats at home, have children & watch them grow, even the war council makes a comeback. I would really recommend it but the price is definitely a deterrent if you're not already a die-hard RotTK fan. TL;DR - Perfect strategy game when you include the DLC but is expensive, base game - 7/10 - feels like a dumbed down/simplified version of its predecessors.
