So I bought this game some months ago and have been playing it once and then, but today I played 5 hours straight and the game is decent enough. I bought it because one of my favorite youtubers Mediaglitch recommended it in a video. So this game is a Metroidvania and it reminds me a lot of Dust: An Elysian Tail, anyway it's a really nice game although it's missing something not sure what. I scored it 8/10 though, not the greatest but not bad at all.

Well I started this franchise with DS1 and then skipped all way to DS3 years later, although I thought DS3 is better than DS1 and legends of aranna many will disagree. I never played DS2 for some reason since I always thought it would be the same thing as DS1 but boy was I wrong. I have played many dungeon crawlers throughout my life, Diablo123, Darkstone, Torchlight, Chocobo Dungeon 1 & 2, etc etc etc including of course dungeon siege 1 and dungeon siege 3. OK to make long story short this is the best dungeon crawler I have played so far, yes superior to all the other games I just mentioned except for maybe Chocobo Dungeon 2 since that game is amazing too. This game does right everything dungeon siege 1 didn't do right and does way better everything dungeon siege 3 did right. DS 2 is just the superior game in the franchise by far, if you like this genre then you MUST play this game. -This game is far superior to any Diablo game btw just my two cents

Well I have been playing this game around 1 week now, started it on a 1st of september 2015. The game looks very good even for an old game, it has nice music too. I think I would have totally loved this game back in 2002 when it was new. I feel it hasn't aged well it feels very slow and not so rewarding at times. I am in chapter 7 out of 9 at the time of this review, so I can say I have played it fairly enough to give a review about it. Well to begin with like I mentioned the graphics are really nice even for an old game, music is a little repetitive but very well done overall. Sound effects are very detailed, I noticed how they would change according to global positioning. The story is very akward, I mean it's about a farmer that gets news about evil rising and suddenly he becomes hercules... I mean wtf? This game feels alot like Diablo 2 most of the time, one thing I really hate about this game is it doesn't have town portal or I haven't seen it yet but at this height of the game that I am currently at (chapter 7/9)it would be pointless to add town portal. So just to wrap things up, -graphics 7.5/10 -music 8/10 -sound effects 8.5/10 -story 5/10 -gameplay 6/10 Last appeal I rate this game a 7, I feel it was a great game back in the day but it didn't age well and playing it feels a bit pointless at times, too much grinding and little story or purpose doesn't help at all. it is a better game than diablo 1 or 2 but it is not better than other titles from its era like Darkstone, Baldur's Gate or Icewind Dale. This game had lots of potential and must have been great in it's era but sadly it didn't survive the test of time, I recommend it but only if you love hack and slash games and cant get enough of it, otherwise do not get this game.

Did you ever play The Witcher 1, yes the first Witcher game? Well this game is exactly like The Witcher, it's very interesting with quests that villagers ask you to do and you take decisions that affect later on, and main quests that must be done also. I actually finished this game some years ago on Steam but just wanted to do it some justice, because **** like The Witcher doesn't get so much hate why does this game get hate if it's the same style. Only bad thing about this game is that it has a level cap, you can't ever learn all your spells and abilities since you reach the limit almost around the end of the game. For just that great flaw I will rate this game a 7/10 but if it weren't for that level cap this game could easily be a 9/10

I just don't know what to say about this game... I bought it back in 2001mainly because the cover's artwork caught my eye, I used to be more of a Silent Hill, Resident Evil or Metal Gear player but then that year I saw this game and bought it although I played it some years later mainly because I was busy playing many other action titles Legacy of Kain, Parasite Eve ect ect. Well after some time I decided to give this game a try it was probably 2003 so I was like ok time to play it... wow the moment it started playing and all the story and everything was like watching a movie, the more I played the more I was mesmerized by the beautiful dungeons and amazing story. The game is a little complicated so it took me some time to understand everything, after all this was my first dungeon crawling game I had ever played, this game is what made me want to play other titles such as diablo, darkstone, dungeon siege and even Final Fantasy games etc etc. It's been nearly 15 years since I first bought this game and 13 years since I finished it and in that time I have played many many titles new and old for PC and every possible console up to this moment 2016 that are hack and slash and dungeon crawlers but truth is I have never found in all these years a game so perfect as this one. I just don't know where to start about this game and I could make a whole book praising this gem ****, the music is just perfect it fits every dungeon and place perfectly on par with Final Fantasy's music the ambience is soo beautiful makes me wish there was a place in this world as beautiful as Lea Monde, the story oh boy the story worthy of a novel and movies and a whole series. The gameplay is a little confusing but once you understand it, it's smooth sailing from there, the game has a very good build up in every possible way and I mean storywise and also game wise, it's very well balanced in work and reward I would say perfectly balanced, it's not senseless grinding with unbalanced rewards like almost every other dungeon crawling title out there. The story is just so intriguing and it has an excellent pace. This game also has replay value since new areas are accesible in a replay and you get to save stats and some items. I wish I could forget I finished this game 20 times and enjoy it like it was the first time, sadly I already know every corner of this game so I can't play it anymore without getting a little bored, just a little. What else can I say about this game? It's simply perfect and it's what I use to measure any other game of it's type even to this day, Vagrant Story will always have a place in my mind and in my heart till the end of my days for whatever time is left, this game in my humble opinion is just the best game ever made and boy have I played and (finished) thousands of games. 11/10 gift from god

I didn't want to write a review until I finished the game 100%. Well this game was a huge surprise to me since I had only seen bad reviews and critics about it for years but after playing it myself all I can say is the game is not bad at all. The PC port is crap for sure but once I made it work with patching and modding the game is very enjoyable. Not the best SH game but a genuine SH game in the end. Graphics are fine they look ok for a 2008 game althought they don't captue the essence of SH all that well 9/10. The music sound and voice acting are all fine but once again they are not as scary as other SH games 8/10. The gameplay and controls are very awkward and take time to get used to them, it was very frustrating at first and this can be a turndown for many not to mention all the button mashing when fighting any monster or boss so thats a 7/10. The story of this game was really it's good point. hadn't seen such a great story since SH2 very good story worthy of a movie 10/10. Last appeal 8/10 the game is great and has good graphics and a great story but the broken controls and fighting style are a huge turn down not to mention it doesn't have many riddles or puzzels and when it does they are those slide square kinda ones. The sounds and graphics don't capture the essence of Silent Hill all that well either, besides that great game 8/10 RECOMMENDED for any true Silent Hill fan and horror lover. THE PC PORT is BAD btw but CAN BE FIXED WITH PATCHING AND MODS.

This game is really good, it's the closest to the first SH game. Graphics are great they are scary too Graphics 10/10 for a silent hill game, Sound is good and music is creepy as expected from a SH game, the voice acting is ok too Sound 9/10. Story is a little boring but it holds up well not the best but not bad, Story 8/10. The gameplay is ok too and they added the element of picking up objects from the surroundings, the gameplay is very similar to the first silent hill game and the controls are a little clunky as any sh game but they are ok Gameplay 9/10. Final veredict 9/10, this is probably one of the best SH games ever made, it's very faithful to the first one gameplay wise and graphicaly, only the storyline lacks depth, thinking alot about it this game is probably better than SH3 and SH2 if not on par with them making this game arguably the second best SH game ever right after SH1 ofc. The game is very short as SH3 was it's very similar to SH3 graphically but the gameplay style was alot like SH1 which makes it a good combo but the story was just not good at all, I still think this is probably the second best SH game. I can only describe this game as SH1 and SH3 combined with a bad story, if only it had a good story this would be the best.

I always had mixed feelings about this game since it's just so different from the first 3, The story is very strange and somehow original, way more original than SH3 storyline. Not sure if I could say it's a great story but original at least Story 8/10 Music and sounds including voice acting are great, the music as always is excellent, the sounds right on and the voice acting is a huge improvement Sound 10/10 Controls and gameplay are fine too but they are really different and not in a good way, the gameplay is really awkward too and sometimes it just doesn't feel like a silent hill game Controls and gameplay 7/10 The graphics are fine and can look ok all maxed out in PC version, but the game doesn't really scare that much and the otherworld doesn't look all that great either, Graphics 9/10. FInal veredict 8/10 this game tried something new and it just felt like something totally different than a SH game, not a bad game at all just really different, the story was ok but strange and the fear factor was lacking alot but it was there too. Overall a good SH game but far from being the best.

This is my third review for a Silent Hill game and as I mentioned before I played the original one back in 2000 and have been following the franchise until it died early this year. This game once again is good but not the best SH game the reasons are the following, I will start with the story, it is basically the continuation of SH 1 it starts years later when Cherly grows up and changes her name to Heather for safety reasons but they are finally found despite that. Cheryl (Heather) is a teen with an attitude and know it all complex, thats very much what the story is about, her fighting off the sect, it's probably one of the worst storylines of all the Silent Hill franchise but not bad as a whole if you played the first SH the story will make more sense Story 7/10. Now the music and sounds the includes voice acting, the music and sounds as usual are excellent, they fit every scenario and situation you can even hear specific sounds when steping in different textures such as rug or concrete. The voice acting is way better than the prequels but that doesn't nessesarly make it better since Heather has an attitude and most of the voice acting sounds cheesy either way sound has a 10/10. Graphics are great in this game the monster look way better than the prequels, boss fights are way more interesting and the transitions to otherworld are more common, this game got this right unlike SH2, the scenarios and whole atmosphere are just scary as hell, they scare as much as SH1 and at times even more. In PC version maxing out the settings this game looks as great as any modern 2015 game, Graphics 10/10. Controls and gamplay the game is very short and the it lacks more outdoor areas that prequels included, it plays and controls very much like it's prequels I do like the way the menu looks like, they improved the menu and the controls feel a bit tighter but not as much it plays and controls very much like its predecessors Control and gameplay 9/10. Final veredict 9/10 despite that it's probably the shortest game and lacks more outdoor areas. it still has arguably the scariest graphics of the SH franchise and the best sound music, what really hurts this game is the poor storyline and the know it all attitude of the main char Heather, not to mention the game is really short, these factors make SH3 not the best in the franchise but not bad at all, this game got everything the other didn't get right except for the storyline. Probably the second or third best game, I feel it's on par with SH2.

As a huge Silent Hill fan and having played the first SH back in 2000 I have to say that this might have been the second best SH game, yep I think it's not as good as the first SH game and the main reason is that it doesn't scare as much as it's prequel. The story of this game is probably the best out of all SH games, 10/10 the music and sound effects are ok and the voice acting is similar to the first game, just akward but that just adds to the atmosphere of the game it actually helps it 10/10. The controls and gameplay are similar to the first game as well a little clunky but they are fine once you get used to them 9/10. The graphics are way better than the first game but they don't scare as much and the game lacks of world to otherworld transitions not to mention there isn't as much variaty or uniqueness about the enemies you encounter and the boss fights aren't that good either 8/10. Final veredict is 9/10 not the best SH ever IMO but almost, it just needed that extra push in enemy model creativity and scarier atmosphere(lacks a little the fear element) to have been the best. Just to add another observation is that I have never played the console verion of this game but the PC version and maxing out all the settings this game looks great almost like an xbox360 game, almost.

What can I say about this game, I played it back in july of 2000 I remember already having played other titles such as Resident Evil 1 2 and 3, I had played Dino Crisis and also Parasite Eve and many other games that weren't exactly horror. Well I was not ready for this game it just blew my mind, the level of horror was set that day and this is the game I use to measure any other horror game. I loved this game back in 2000 and I love it now in 2015 I keep coming back to this game over and over throughout my life. Have to play it at least once every 2 or 3 years. Story 10/10 brilliant story involving the ocult. Graphics despite that they are old and outdated actually helped this game to be scarier, yes that's right the poor graphics make the game scarier, 9/10. Sound and music 10/10 best about this game is the music and the sounds are right on even the akward voice acting helps to that desolating feeling to the game(dreamlike), finally the gameplay and controls, they are a bit clunky but not as bad as other games 9/10 final veredict 10/10. Despite having outdated graphics and awkward controls the gameplay story and sound are perfect for a horror game hands down the best horror game ever created and I have played tons of titles before and after this one throughout the years.

So I remeber all the hype about this game back in 2001 and years flew by and I finally decided to test this game after so many years, it's nearly 2016 now yep 15 years after the release of this game I always had that little feeling that I wanted to test this. So yea I finally did, well I don't know that to say, I can think of so many things but I will just try to keep it simple. The game looks great very nice considering it came out in 2001, the sound and music are really good and the presentation is great, almost all about the game is decent for a 2001 game. nothing can go wrong right? Well... I am not sure if the game didn't age well or the concept was just too new back in the day or if it all was just a commercial stunt. Thing is the game is great but it just lacks depth, it gets very repetitive soon and trying too keep things in order, the vilages and citizens food wood miracles your creature etc etc becomes really hard, it starts to feel more like a chore than a game. Soon I started to feel more like a maid or a slave than a god. The game and concept is really great but it was poorly executed. I have very mixed feelings about this game and I don't know if I could recommend it, I have not played B&W2 but if its slightly better than this one then get that one instead of this one. This game just feels incomplete that should have been my whole review summarized 'Incomplete game'. I will rate it a 7 just because the game is not bad even with all it's flaws. if you like these type of games then get (Jowood The Nations) it's an old game too but at least it is more balanced than this one and it makes me feel more **** than this one too.

I recently got this game and have been trying to finish it, the cartoonish graphics and voice acting are great. Makes it feel like I am playing the animated series, the bad about this game is that it's really really hard and also it doesn't have 100% controller support, with some tweaks I was able to make the joystick act as the mouse. It's a good game but it's just too hard and the akward controls dont help either. Also like someone else mentioned the driving and flying levels are hard too and some boss battles which require first person mode are really annoying too. Overall it's one of the best Batman games I have ever played not too great but not bad either.

This game has very very good graphics despite being one of the first 3D Spiderman games. The bad is that it's not open world like it's sequels. This game plays alot like the first Spiderman(2000) or like Spiderman 2 (PC). Despite the great graphics and voice acting thats all this game has to offer, the levels become a little to repetitive and the story has a very akward and cheesy plot all topped with an abrupt ending with a kiss... If only this game were made open world with the graphics it has and with more variaty of missions I would have to say this game would be the best spiderman game ever but I can keep dreaming. Not a bad game but graphics is all it has to offer most of the time. Too bad I cant rate it with a 7.5 rather than a 7

I dont know later in the future if this game will be topped but as of today it's the best you can get, yes it's better than The Amazing Spiderman 1 or 2 or anything before this game too. The only little detail about this game is that it doesn't have contoller support I have no idea why since all the other console ports did... and it lags alot for moments even with a high end system it still lags I have no idea why.

This was actually the first open world Spiderman game I ever played and not Spiderman 2 like most people, maybe thats why I have a soft spot for this game. I played it on xbox 360 years ago when it was new and I loved it, I recently got it for the PC and I'm not sure if it's the same levels or gameplay since it has been nearly 10 years since I first finished this game, but I think it is the same console version of the game since some missions seem familiar. Years ago I would have rated this game a 10 but now that I have been playing it again on PC version I will rate it an 8 just because the AI is very stupid, I remember it being better, that includes citizens just ignoring Spiderman or just acting akward most of the time. Besides that this game is one of the best Spiderman games out there highly recommended for any TRUE Spiderman fan.

Not the best Spiderman game but not bad either. Looking away at that 2 and not expecting to be like the console version of Spiderman 2 then this game is decent enough in my opinion. I will rate it with a 6 only because the web swinging is very akward if it werent for that I would rate it at least a 7 it's not like you will be doing lots of web swinging in this game anyway since most of the levels are indoors, this game felt more like the first Spiderman(2000) but with akward web swinging than Spiderman 2 or 3 on console that were open world.
