Whip-smart and unpretentious, The Newsroom is Aaron Sorkin at his best. Jeff Daniels deserves a Nobel prize for his performance in this series, and no, I'm not being over-dramatic.

A satisfying finish to a brilliant bit of telly. All these actors deserve more work in their field. I will always look back on (and rewatch) this show fondly.

The acting in this show is superb. Sharon Gless is something else. The boys are gorgeous, every one of them. The girls are commanding (go girls!). Getting super good at this stage.

Another brilliant season. Emotional, funny, heartbreaking all at once, this goes down as one of televisions shiniest stars. Is there a better actor in the world than Gale Harold? I don't think so...

There is a magic about this show that makes it hard to beat, especially in the LGBT category. Superior writing and acting, Gale Harold is a star, etc, etc. Just watch it.

Not sure at what point the show got cancelled, because I don't think the production got a chance to properly finish up. A fantastic series, otherwise.

There's a lot to like here. Eliza Dushku has long been a favourite if mine, and she delivers wonderfully as Echo. As always, Joss Whedon surrounds her with a diverse range of actors, Fran Krantz leading the charge. Mysterious, funny and thrilling, Dollhouse is a must-watch for sci-fi fans and crime watchers alike.

A fascinating show, to say the least. I've never seen a show quite like it, actually. Intriguing and well-produced. Sutherland is arresting as a concerned father and the young boy playing his son is exceptionally good for his age.

A strong end to the series, though not as many memorable episodes as previous seasons. Colin Morgan goes down as a young talent to watch. Katie McGrath's acting goes from strength to strength, and Bradley James leads the charge like the king he is.

More brilliance from the Party Down crew. Great guest stars too. Can't really fault this show, except that maybe some of the episodes aren't as strong as others, but it's so rare, it hardly rates a mention.

Really funny show, this one. Adam Scott and Ken Marino lead the charge in this highly original comedy. Some terrific performances from Ryan Hansen, Martin Starr and Lizzy Caplan (almost the entire cast there!) really make this a cult hit.

Not as strong as the first season, but still some terrific telly. Robert Sheehan steals the show again, particularly in the finale. Simon is the most intriguing character, for sure.

There is a lot to like about this show. The highlight? Robert Sheehan. You'll laugh, you'll cry (from laughter) and you'll rewind for more - he is simply brilliant. Iwan Rheon is another highlight, playing the **** himself, Simon. Everything else is adequate enough to keep coming back for more.

The funnies starting to get a little forced now, but a bad episode of AD is better than an episode of any other comedy, to be sure. Jessica Walter continues to deliver the most memorable laughs.

Solid stuff again from Hurwitz and co. Many classic episodes that go down in history as some of the funniest television ever produced. Props in particular to the young cast this season.

Stunningly funny. The first episode is one of the best pilots I have ever seen. Like, ever. A terrific season of television that is still funny after 300 re-watches.

Some decent writing and good acting makes this little Apatow engine that couldn't a surprise hit. A few dud episodes here and there, but ultimately a funny little show about fitting in and standing out.

Really enjoyed this psychological thriller. Great acting and writing means you don't see the twists coming. Resurrection fans should watch this and take in what inspired the show to begin with.

LOVE this season. Angel and co. taking over Wolfram & Hart is beyond clever. Gun's brain boost is a plot-driving stroke of genius. Add Spike and take away Cordelia, and you have the very best Joss could have offered.

New characters means lots of fun for this TV junkie. Lorne is a stroke of genius, while Fred offers some triangular love issues. Gun is still awesome, as is Wesley.

A fairly solid start to the Buffy spin-off. Boreanaz's acting is improving with each episode. I like the cases they "solve" this season, some real clever demons. Cordelia is my downside.

My favourite season by far. Strong ending from the writers, actors and special effects peeps. Everything that happened needed to, and everything ended with a bang. Will look back fondly on this season for some time.

An improvement on season one, Buffy and co. take on some real meanies this time around. Character growth and a clever story arch create a fast-paced television experience.

A weak beginning to what would become a rather brilliant show. I think the story ideas just weren't big enough to elicit any real scares, and the villain was rather weak, but the acting and chemistry between the actors really elevates this. Not my favourite season, but a promising start.

Was surprised at how unpopular this show was... Alex O'Loughlin leads this crime procedural with aplomb, and the build up of tension between Mick and Beth is more than palpable.

Another cracking season from the US crew, particularly Carell and Krasinski. Novak has his moments, too. The writing is not as strong as the first short season, but there are still plenty of laughs.

Although the original UK series' ugly cousin, this first season of The Office US is a cracker. Great writing and acting ensure the crossover is a success. John Krasinski already shows promise.

A fitting conclusion to a series that could have gone a little longer. Great ending for Tim and Dawn, particularly. Gervais is off the Richter scale funny.

Great stuff again from Gervais and co. Martin Freeman is the most underrated actor in the UK. The writing is pin-point accurate and the guest actors hold their own.

I can't quite put into words the genius of this show. Needless to say, Ricky Gervais is one clever cookie. This show is funny, clever, wrong and hysterically funny. Do yourself a favour, kids.

The weakest season by far. Am glad it ended here before it got worse. Highlights include The Slicer, The Strike and The Frogger. Am glad for the comedy from this quartet, but it was time for bed.

On the downward slope... Highlights include The Little Kicks, The Chicken Roaster ("Kenny?") The Abstinence (hilarious), The Pot Hole and The Nap. Love Jerry's work in The Chicken Roaster.

Again, not as strong as the earlier seasons. Highlights include the very underrated The Hot Tub, as well as The Soup ****, The Rye, The Caddy and The Calzone.

A slight decline from this season onwards, for me. Highlights include The Chaperone, The Big Salad, The Secretary, The Race, The Beard and The Jimmy. Julia Louis-Dreyfus starts to challenge the boys as far as acting prowess is concerned.

The ultimate Seinfeld season, in my opinion. Highlights include The Mango, The Puffy Shirt, The Bris, The Barber, The Conversion, The Marine Biologist, The Dinner Party and the best episode of the series, The Opposite.

Another terrific season. Highlights include The Parking Garage, The Tape, The Boyfriend Pt 2, The Limo and the The Parking Space. I can not speak highly enough of Jason Alexander and Michael Richards.

Getting into a rhythm now. Highlights include The Busboy, The Baby Shower, The Chinese Restaurant and the incomparable The Phone Message, which I still quote to this day.

Early episodes had the characters finding their feet. Funny, but not to the extent that it became. Kramer's development between here and later seasons is particularly clever.

Kind of fell off the rails. I can't speak highly enough about the acting, though - so good for a young cast. It's a shame, really; it had such promise. Will still think back fondly on this short but sweet teen series.

There is something magical about this first season. Great acting all around, particularly from (then) newcomer Brendan Fehr. Just right combination of mystery/suspense/romance.

Another terrific season on a whole. The last episode had me in stitches. A terrific show that ended in its prime, really. Definitely re-watchable, to be sure.
