Most of the reviews for this seem to be written by the publisher because if you check their profiles the only other games they've reviewed is this game on every system, but don't be fooled this is a garbage game, you have to just sit through screen after screen of terrible dialogue and about 2 times per "chapter" you get to have some say in the "action" by say I mean you either tell the character to "relax and not to worry" or you tell him some thing which makes him give you a game over then you need to sit through all the dialogue again with no ability to speed it up and yeah... it's awful, it's all awful. To the people who made this, that trope you do where the character does a typo and then corrects it on the following line with a * on the word... that is not something a regular person would do while they panic about being kidnapped, I don't think any rational human would correct each mistake like that with a new line, but I guess it fluffed out the run time of this trash by an extra 100 lines since it seems to happen a handful of times per chapter.

Finally the Switch gets a very solid racing sim game, I had been making do with Gear Club Unlimited for ages for my real world racing fix on Switch but this game is like it's on another generation in terms of Quality, honestly going from Gear C U to This game is like going from a ps2 title up to a PS3 game, there is no way to put them side by side and not gush over how beautiful Grid is, both from a visual point of view and from a gameplay one. In terms of optimization for the Switch as well Codemasters have added in 3 different options to play this on Switch between 30fps High graphics mode which gives you detailed 3d crowds as well as additional reflections from the cars, tracks and also additional details outside the track (such as balloons and planes flying by) to a performance mode which targets and very well achieves a 60fps lock a lot of the time outside of really busy points on the roads but it does a great job of getting very nice frame rates with a slight sacrifice to lighting/reflections/off track detail and then for portable mode they also offer a battery saver option which runs the game with lesser visual settings and at 30fps to maximize battery life for portable play. They really are the masters of code here. Again control settings knock it out of the park, as some others have mentioned the GC controller is supported for Analogue control of ACC/Braking with the analogue L/R buttons on that pad, also there is options for joycon and controller pro to use the right stick instead of buttons to give a good analogue control of the power they really have sank a lot of time into making this Switch port make use of the things a Switch can do rather than just copy pasting the PS3 title onto the Switch and removing the dual-shock logos which is what some companies have been doing. Oh! The game is around 7gb to begin with as well but if you have the space on your memory card Codemasters have offered higher res texture pack for the cars which they recommend for TV play, the pack is Free and 2.8GB I'll be honest I didn't play the game without this pack installed as I have a 400GB micro SD card but again it's great that the option is there for portable focused players (and the ton of new Switch Lite owners) to get the game in a smaller file size and leaving off these high res textures if they wouldn't be of use. All in all though, this is a great port of the last gen racer, comes with tons of the DLC content from that game all in the base game package which after my first 20 or so hours into I think I've barely scratched the surface of the racing that is to be had here, and we have a online multiplayer patch on the way in the future from the devs. Support this game and this type of port if you like the Switch / Racing games / Solid ports with great effort made to tailor make a Switch game.

This game seems to be really fun... but the performance at day one seems to be very shocking on Switch, considering this is the same machine that's running Doom2016@30fps or MK11@60 along with other current generation games at perfectly playable rates then it's shocking to see a game from the X360 era running so poorly on the Switch, there is a promise of a patch coming to fix some issues but it's not available right now and really... there is no way the game should be performing as it is right now. That said.... the game is really great for what's there, tons of content and loads to unlock and do, the only issues again is performance right now isn't where it should be, so this feels like a 8-9 game, but the way it's running right now, this is a 6 at most, also if you have picked it up go into the controller settings and turn your X/Y sensitivity up to at least 65/70 to allow you to properly aim against the games strong (unalterable) autoaim.

It's a super short (2-3 hours to complete the main game) slightly dull streets of rage/ Golden Axe clone that has a bit of funny humour and some cool co-op action to be enjoyed. It could definitely have used a bit more enemy variety but the short length means what it does offer doesn't grow too stale before the credits role, the game has decent amounts of save points and that lets you play co-op or solo as you want to swap back and forth between the two. Cheap, short and cheerful, not going to change your life but will entertain for a few hours for the few euro it asks.

If you like old SCUMM point and click adventures you will probably get some good playtime out of this, and considering the low cost of entry (with the title often appearing in the special offers area) you should at the very least check out the free demo from the eshop and see if it's for you. Not great... but priced accordingly with what the game has on offer.

This game just doesn't run in any way that you could ever look at it and think "that seems like it's ready to be sold to consumers" the frame rates of some of the Wrestlers intros can drop to single digits and none of them are sync'd correctly with their music which means the presentation is just horrific to sit through. When you play this you just can't help but think how much of a shame it is that they didn't simply lower the res, even drop it down to something like Sub HD 480p and lower the number of 3d models in the crowd or remove things like smoke effects which murder the framerate and this could have been one of the best Switch ports on the market, considering that every bit of content from the other systems seems to be present, but .... yeah it all just feels like it's running in super slow motion which makes the pinning and submission mini games damn near impossible to do since there's half a second+ of input lag at all times. Such a shame that this was launched in the state it is just to make a Christmas release.

Paid dlc from the store too which comes at a cost of 1euro a pop in Europe anyway, we checked out the cosmo canyon dlc which had 2 versions of the song so yeah if you want to extend the library of songs it's not going to set you back too much, when compared to the 3euros a song guitar hero or rock band games dlc.

Damn shame that some idiot has given this game a low score because they gave it to their kids without seeing that there is an M for Mature rating on the box, myself and the missus were laughing after reading their review while we were playing it, especially at the 3rd mission which during the cut scene there are images of fully nude women while someone is telling you you're going to need to go and smash some guys F*king face in to make an example of him. Was just picturing that person who gave the game a 0 walking past their kid hearing that cut scene as the kid cried their eyes out at the 3ds. good job! Apart from that tho, this is a solid enough game, its short and it is indeed ubisoft quickly getting some games out at launch but for what it is as a driving game it shows hope of what the system is capable of while you bomb around the city at really nice speeds with car models which are on par with the GTA games from the ps2 also if you want a cool enough proper gritty story on your 3ds this one will fill that gap in your game shelf with lovely amounts of swearing, nude pics and the odd imagery **** in the background with his brains showing on the bonnet of his car after you ram him into a wall. :D definitely not Mario Kart!

Great little music game in the lines of the guitar hero games, clearly the music of Frederic Chopin was picked as it would be royalty free by now for the devs to use but some of the remixes of the tracks are really good tunes to play to. - Game advises you play it with headphones, and I most certainly would agree with that, the music just comes to life far more from a decent said of headphones rather than the switches functionally but lacking in bass speakers. - Game suggests it's designed for the touch screen... and it is more or less designed that way but if you rather play with buttons I found that swapping over the middle key from being the L2 button to being R2 instead made the game perfectly playable using the button controls and is just a few seconds to alter in the menu. Great little story if not a touch racially insensitive at times with the stereo types that show up in different countries, although I'll be honest, being Irish I did laugh at the Irish reaction to seeing Chopin or as they refer to him another Pole arriving to take a job, it is borderline racist... but still done in a light enough way to slip by the sensors. (also if you buy this game from the eshop it gives you a 50% reduction from Frederick 2 which made that game 2.50 for me here in Euroland so I got both titles this way for under a fiver)

What more can be said about this than what others have already chimed on here... it just plays like a love letter to the Megadrive Sonic that we all wish his newer 3d games have been for the last decade or two. Only tiny issue here... there is an achievement to be earned apparently for getting Gold in all 32 of the bonus stages, however since the Switch doesn't have any form of achievement system then for us users on Switch all you gain from completing the game 100% is.... nothing, Silver medals are enough to unlock everything in the game, Gold only exist for the achievement like I said... which doesn't exist on the platform only on PC/PS4/X1 bit of a shame. Otherwise this is just glorious from start to finish.

Absolutely great from NIS and hoping to see more love like this on Switch, perhaps we could get to see some of the older Disgaea titles making their way onto the lil Nintendo machine.

Absolutely crammed full of Lego universe humour and a fantastic showing of what the Switch is capable in terms of giving us a 1080p/30fps open world game in the veins of GTA but without the M+ rating. The only minor gripe I have with this game is that the eshop version is coming in at around €50 here but the physical card can be bought for €30-35 it's just a shame to have to pay an additional €20 for the convenience of not having to swap out game cards to play this if the digital versions cost was in line with the RRP it seems to be following right now. Really great game though, if you're looking for another open world that isn't Hyrule then this is well work checking out.

The game just takes every chance it gets to make the player annoyed at the controls rather than try to make it more playable with the insistence on making you "feel like a snake" well I'll be honest, after 5-6 stages of this I wanted to reattach my arms and click the home button and go back to playing other games. Games shouldn't aim to control this badly, especially not if you go with the "easy" control setup, you'll actually find some maneuvers impossible to complete without the full controls.

A very strange experience that is hard to really explain what is enjoyable about it.... but I've lost myself in it for hours burning things in my Little Inferno Brand Fireplace you'll find yourself playing it through twice if you make it to the end without a guide and I enjoyed both times. Worth noting that this game uses either touch screen or motion controls a la Wii mote action from a single Joycon, the first playthrough for me was done using a joycon like that and considering the system doesn't feature a IR camera on the joycons or a sensor bar it works fantastically well using gyroscopic tracking to emulate a Wii Remote. My second playthrough I ditched the joycons completely and just used the tablet portion of the Switch with no controllers attached, just playing the game using the touch screen felt strange as the Switch is slightly thicker than your average tablet, but it works as smooth as butter from start to finish. If you can enjoy a good abstract game though and don't need sign posts directing you towards end of stage bosses I would advise checking out this very unique offering from Tomorrow Corporation on the Switch.

I think it's safe to say that this is one of the best games I have ever played in the last 30 years of being a gamer... every single thing about the game works as you would think it should, the world is beautiful and almost everything in it seems to be there for a reason, there is very little empty space in the world just there for the sake of extending the size, every inch of the land seems to have been crafted over with purpose either for a story reason, extra find reason or simply to create a living world around you. I got this and the Switch and thought... jesus... I'm paying 400e for effectively 1 game right now, and I have to say... if it was just that price for this game, It's almost worth it when you compare the amount of things to do in it, I'm just going passed the 100 hours mark and I have yet to actually go and do any of the main 4 story boss's, you can just get lost for days doing things like finding cooking recipes on walls of inns and hunting down the ingredients to make them, for no reason other than you want to find out what they are. The game doesn't feature breadcrumbed gameplay... it doesn't hold your hand outside of the first couple of hours, it just gives you a world and says "good luck champ" and that's just... so freeing, the game doesn't tell you what to do, so you'll find yourself just wandering about and wanting to do everything you can.

Unless you're aiming to collect a complete library of all the GC games there is really no reason to own this title, the 2 main characters from the movie didn't lend their voice talents to even add some character to this terrible mess, I know most people say this is a waste of time and energy but I feel I have to expand on this. -The character models... I'm not sure how to describe them other than to say they look like the two main characters from the movie, if you were to ask a racist to draw them in 3d. -The controls.... 3 different sets of confusion right here, Sometimes it's 3rd person, sometimes it's first person, sometimes you are locked into cover scenes for boss fights which feel like they are an inch away from being a quick time event... but they're not, they are just the games first person controls but locked out of doing certain actions. -The objectives, the only way to get a good rank in the game is to shoot the weapons out of peoples hands to arrest them... however the AI is awful and it never offers a time when criminals are not holding their gun directly in front of their face, chances are 9 times out of 10 you're going to make brain trifle spray on the wall rather than hit the gun given how bad the controls are for this mess. -Difficulty - Nope, some area's are a joke for how easily you can just blast your way through then suddenly it seemed someone said "hey... ya know rather than making more content, we could just make the game really hard with no checkpoint system" so they did that instead, if you make 1 mistake you can lose so much health you are going to be in a spiral to death after some of the unavoidable damage, that means you are just wasting more time playing on knowing that you will be re-doing the whole stage again from the start. Just terrible. That's it really like I said, unless you're aim is the full collection of GC games, don't buy this, that said if you are aiming to collect them all, try to get this game wrapped in plastic, at least then there is less chance of the **** getting out of the box from this tiny disk of crap.

have had this game on my to-do list for some time and finally got around to giving it a play through, dear lord such a let down, after enjoying the 2 bioshock games this game is just a mess of a clone in the horror fps genre. The game starts so atmospherically great, really good music, sound effects, films playing get you right in the mood, but once you are maybe an hour into it they have completely run out of ideas for horror and it is just dropped from the game completely, all atmosphere replaced with gun fights vs helicopters of the 2 types of soldier you will fight in this game... and it just goes on and on and on for hours. towards the end they try and wrap it up with some few bits and pieces which to be honest, after 2 hours of gunning down soldiers with a minigun, to randomly click on a tape player in a room and see dead guy faces flash on the screen with screaming was pretty shocking.... but you could say the same about anything, if I was watching my little pony for 2 hours and someone jumped up and said BOO it would be a bloody shock to you. Awful awful pacing from this campaign. Now on the technical side the game fails so horribly in so many areas, there are so many rounded models through this game, columns etc which while they look round in the gameworld they have a square shape to them where the corners of the square are just being blocked by invisible walls. horrible that no one bothered to go and clean up some of these models so they actually felt like they looked to the player. The person who decided subtitles were too much to ask for in this game should have been shot, it is made especially bad by the fact that they didn't decide to fully steal the audio logs from bioshock so when you click them on the ground you have to stay near it to hear the full thing, and if there is any explosions which muddle the sound you have to wait for the thing to end before you can start it again since there are no subs to fill in gaps. Other great uses of sound in this game come in the form of every phone and typewriter in the game that has the mouse over que to hear what a phone dial tone sounds like and a typewriter going DING. really game? while running past a table with a first aid kit and a typewriter on it mashing X as I go past it you really wanna make me think that the character stops for a second to end off a line of typing and make it go ding while being chased down by a load of hungry zombie esq things? pointless, just whoever thought to have them as things you can "interact / hear a sfx" from these items has no idea what makes a game decent. Another prize goes to the person who added the help text when you go to snipe with the sniper rifle in the game, okie a bit of text comes on screen to let you know how to slow down time, okie I got it.... I'll snipe someone else, hmmm that help text is there again, right in the middle of the scope... and the only way to get rid of it is to use the move its saying, no options anywhere to turn this dummy text off, any time you want to take out the sniper rifle you have to look past this text to fire down scope, or you have to be using the slow time move.... saying that if you scope the gun, and use up your slow down time move... of which you have no indication of when it will refill you still get that text and you can't use the move so you can't get rid of it. awful seriously ruins that gun from being of any use in the game. that's all this game is tho, a bunch of half decent ideas or copied ideas but without any finishing touches on it, there is no polish at all used on this thing. and it's such a let down for what could have been a rival to bioshock.

had been waiting on this game for a good while now, was really hyped for it, Having owned pretty much every version of the hawks series up til the point where they released that god awful plastic half a board thing. I'm going to just point this out! for me the series took a massive hit when the feature to get off the board was brought into it, I mean its in the title, tony hawks pro SKATER, who wants to go climbing ladders and cycling bikes or driving cars using the THPS engine? its made for skating and that alone, if you haven't experienced these minigame portions of the Underground and proving grounds then you can simulate them by playing a driving/platforming game of your choice, after you put your hands under the wheels of a car and have the car drive back and forth over them a few times, controls exactly like that. But back to this piece of... game, it is horrible, just nothing about it comes off right, all they had to do was nothing! just absolutely nothing and the games would have been perfect, but I can't believe the **** on the xbl page when you look at it, they had neversofts code and polished it up?! w t f did they polish it with **** The physics will make you sick after that first jump over the halfpipe, the speed is just dauntingly wrong for a THPS game, Revert being sold as DLC later on is a slap in the face, this is just awful, there are 7 tracks from THPS1+2 in this tho, music I mean those are okie, worlds collide is there, nuff said. but yeah do not be wasting your money on this, it will honestly just destroy any nostalgia feelings you have when you think of the old Tony Hawks games. Going to point out 1 or 2 things btw! Tony Hawks Pro skater 3+4 work absolutely perfectly on the 360 console! there is one graphical glitch with 4 where during a loading screen or black screen you get a bit of UI bugged out, other than that these games are perfect, I own them, I'm currently playing them on a 42inch 1080 screen and they absolutely blow this piece of **** out of the water, if you happen to have a 2nd hand game shop in your area or car boot sales, take a look for these 2 games, they are incredible, and like I said you can play them on your 360 with out a bother. Direct request to anyone related to this game or the Tony Hawks Franchise. please.... add 3 and 4 to the classic xbox games on sale from the xbox360 store, if they didn't sell a mill copies between them I would be absolutely shocked being honest with you, those games are golden and the system is there to sell those games and make yerselfs moneys! btw those reviewers up top who gave it 10
