Points for graphics and mood, but this game is a dreadfully boring walking simulator. I want my money back. I know there is a small niche audience for this kind of thing, but I ain't part of it. Too boring to finish. Wasted potential here.

Sniper Elite V2 Remastered7

A great foundation for the games that followed. It has a better cover system than the rest of the series, and regenerating health may take some getting used to, but all in all a great time for people who have probably played all the other Sniper Elite games and are looking for more.

If Xbox can't figure out why they aren't at least going toe to toe with Sony these days, it's because they forgot how to release games like these. One of the best shooter franchises, no stealth, just balls to the wall fire-fights. The story is grim, but pairs well with the intense action.

The best way to describe this game is death by a thousand cuts. I enjoy stealth action games, but why can't I throw a rock to distract enemies? The voice acting is pure cringe and the controller sensitivity is out of whack, you have to re-adjust anytime you pull a gun out. Like a really bad B-horror movie, this feels like a horror comedy that would have been made for ps2 in 2003. Am I enjoying the gameplay? Yes. Its only saving grace.

What a phenomenal game! Top notch graphics, shooting, weapon variety, writing, story, characters, pacing, and vision! I'm only going to dock it one point for being too short. 3-4 more hours would have made the experience perfect. It's easy to see the Naughty Dog influence in this body of work, and sadly most people will never experience it. Because, you know, critics. We need a sequel!

There's really nothing like it, yes it's strange and the line delivering from the characters are intentionally blocky, but this game nails atmosphere like no other! Scarier than any Resident Evil or Dead Space, despite the lack of any gore. A must play!

Don't go into the game expecting the aura or mood of the first game. But if you're expecting a great action game with big set-pieces, you won't be disappointed. The weapon system takes time and patience to learn, and also enough progress to get the parts and circuits required to craft these great weapons, but if you stick with it, there's a LOT to love here! I'm itching to do another playthrough ASAP!

This game is very mediocre. It came out the same year as The Last of Us, which blows these graphics out of the park. The gameplay is middling. It has a lot in common with The Division that came out 3 years later, so there's that. The gore effects are laughable, blood everywhere but no dismemberment. I'm playing solo, but might be a bit better co-op I'd assume.

Zombie Army 4: Dead War8

This game is a blast, especially after a rough day. It defines the trope "just turn your brain off for a while and shoot." No puzzles, no mazes, not too much key hunting. If you like COD Zombies, WWZ, L4D, etc ... you'll enjoy this game. The graphics aren't anything to write home about but fast loading times are the upshot of that. Also has great weapon selection and customization.

I'm not in the majority with this opinion, but this is a boring puzzle game that teases you with great shooting mechanics and barely any zombies to shoot. I hope you like shooting bosses though, plenty of them. This is a testament to why 3-6 progressively cranked up the action to the umpteenth degree.

Considering this game came out in 2010, much can be forgiven: graphics, poor lip-sync, some screen tearing, etc ... but the story is fantastic! The combat is middling, but you don't shoot all that much really, what you have are fun missions with interesting dialogue that keeps you guessing what will happen next. A lot of tender loving care went into this, and the soundtrack takes it to that next level!

Enjoyed this game, much bigger in scope. A couple nit-pics though, it does have that AA jank going on, especially with Karl sliding into enemies from behind for stealth take-downs way too often, and way too many invisible walls and uncreative boundaries. But if you're looking for a solid 3rd person tactical shooter, and already played Metal Gear 5 and the Ghost Recon open world games, you can do a lot worse

Game is very fun, can forgive paper-thin story for it. Game struggles when more than 2 enemies are on screen, but overall very playable. Wish there were more weapons, but the essentials are here. If they can get The Last of Us 2 to run at a solid 30 fps, they should be able to further optimize this to make it run better; probably a matter of talent and budget. Time will tell I suppose. Worth playing for sure!

Days Gone8

If they could have launched with better performance we might have had a sequel by now. All the patches that made a smooth experience were a day late and a dollar short. But Days Gone does a lot right, it's a bit like The Last of Us with motorcycles, yet it has a soul all it's own. Very strange to see pockets of unpolished gameplay from a company with a pedigree like Sony, (i.e. saving the same hostage with terrible lip-sync 10 times!?!) Pulling this cake from the oven too early have earned this game it's middling reviews. Maybe we'll get a spiritual successor sometime down the road.

When you compare the risks done to keep things fresh as opposed to an IP like Far Cry that cranks out the same game every outing, I have to congratulate Capcom. It's an excellent action game with great controls and very few bugs. Wish there would have been a better dismemberment system, the 'falls apart like a sandcastle' deaths don't really do it for me. For action fans who live to run and gun, don't listen to the critics. But if you enjoy slow and absurdly arcane puzzles with lots of backtracking, you'll be sorely disappointed. Fun for the masses!

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands9

The open world design will turn some off, but a great co-op romp. It seems less focused than 2012's Future Soldier, yet you still must focus on communicating with your team if you want to remain undetected. The bombast and chaos at times will also bring a smile to your face. Fans of GTA5 looking for less debauchery in their campaign, and enjoy shooting more than driving should take this one for a spin. Very re-playable too.

This is the game that really got me into multiplayer. It does get repetitive at times, but great in short bursts with friends. The customization aspects might turn some people off, it's actually more looter than shooter, but if you dig into the mechanics of putting together a build with skills and attributes that fit your play-style, you'll gladly sink those hours in!
