Titanic: Adventure out of Time9
Jan 23, 2012
I purchased this game as a fan of the Titanic. Fantastic modelling and rendering of the RMS Titanic which you can explore a lot of, but not completely, through the gameplay campaign. It is a time-sensitive mission based RPG in which you need to solve a series of puzzles, sometimes very complex puzzles, in order to prgress into the next part of the ship. The main goal is to be able to complete the mission on time and be able to get into a lifeboat before she sinks. Other gameplay options include the Tour Mode, which you were able to download new tour guides who would enable exploring in the ship itself. This is legacy software and will not work on Vista/Windows 7 machines unless you have XP or lower installed on a different partition.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004: A Century of Flight10
Jan 23, 2012
To this day in 2012, I still use MSFS2004. In my opinion, the best and most stable release Microsoft has ever produced for flight simulation. Its diversity as far as accepting addon aircraft and scenery, including high resolution mesh is incredible. Flight dynamics and simulation quality are 100% depending on the hardware configuration you have set up. While this software can in theory be played as a game, it truly is a flight simulator in the sense that you do need to know a small amount of flying skills to be able to startup, take of, fly around and land. This software is used to assist in training professional pilots, so that should say enough about its technical potential. A kid looking to have fun flying an arcade-style video game will be seriously disapointed with this software, but experienced flight enthusiasts will love it!

Call of Duty: Black Ops1
Jan 23, 2012
Having played all the Call of Duty series since their first release in 2003, right upto all versions of Black Ops, I cant say anything but that this was a huge disappointment. I did wait for a few months after its release to let the bugs surface and a few patches released. Id hate to see how it performed without all the patching, because even with the patches, its performance and environmental quality are mediocre at best. I couldnt help but feel like I was playing Medal of Honor combined with Soldier of Fortune II- not something I expect when playing an Activision COD product. All the gameplay modes are there for Solo, Multiplayer and a Zombie mode, but each one of them are about as appealing as going to the dentist. I can not recommend this game as a purchase to anyone.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 38
Jan 23, 2012
I was surprised to see all the bad reviews to this title, since I personally thought this has been the BEST Call of Duty release so far. I found it to be very well rounded in term of gameplay options; Campaign, Special Ops Solo, Special Ops Online, Survival and Survival Mission modes as well as Multiplayer of course. If youre a gamer who is into Challenges, there are plenty to be had in CODMW3. I do run a high-end machine, so have had no issues at all with performance turned up to the maximum, whereas I still have a few slow periods with MW2. That is to say they have steped up the video performance from MW2. Multiplayer itself seems to be good, but sadly there is already a whole whack of hackers who have silently modded their game and it simply take the fun out of it for me. That aside, Multiplayer does have another whole set of different gameplay modes- you'll certainly not get bored with it anytime soon. The audio was a bit of a disappointment, as they seem to have directly followed the MW2 idea, but have changed voices to the point that it does not feel like a continuation, rather a new version. Melee distance in my opinion is quite inaccurate. Combined with the 'stale' audio, the melee issue is my only other negative note. 8/10 on my scale!

Rogue Warrior1
Sep 22, 2011
Very nice graphics. Thats it. The game itself is painfully boring with unnatural, robotic movements, clumbsy AI and very bad dialog. An attempt to make the character sound like Clint Eastwood gone wrong. Runs very well and smoothly with no major bugs that i noted. Just the gameplay is horrendous. Definitley NOT worth any purchase abouve 3.99.

Microsoft Flight Simulator X9
Sep 22, 2011
This is a high fidelity flight simulator capable of so many countless features. While FSX does require higher-end hardware to run smoothly, it renders a very realistic flight simulation experience. Difficulty settings can define weather it is a game or a simulation, as the realistic settings options requires sound knowledge of real world working aircraft and their systems, as well as very realistic flight dynamics and handling. Even on the easiest difficulty settings however, basic light knowledge is needed to successfully take-off, climb, cruise, descend and land. Knowing how to configure the simulated aircraft for all flight stages is definitley needed if you dont always want to end flight with a crash; in that aspect, it is not a "game" flight system. The software itself can be tweaked quite a bit to adjust many different aspect of the simulator, including professional-grade addon aircraft, highly detailed scenery, upto 19m LOD terrain, real-world dynamic complex weather systems; the possibilities are nearly endless with addons and tweaks. Package software provides many Missions to complete for progress-based gamers, as well as a Free Flight option, allowing you to fly and log flights of your choice, at anytime, in any aircraft provided, anywhere in the world. This software does not benefit from SLI or Crossfire configurations to any notable advantage. It does however, require a significant amount of system resources and video memory to run smoothly at Maxed graphics settings. At least 4GB RAM, Minimum 512MB video and Intel i7 and above are my recommended hardware requirements. Systems less can run this, but with stuttered FPS on medium settings, or all settings low for lower end machines.

Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City10
Sep 20, 2011
Endless hours of entertainment with this game weather you choose to do missions, or just cause havoc on the streets of Liberty City. Of course the more missions you complete, the more you're going to have options as far as weapons and newer exotic vehicles to steal. Software itself is well rendered and the modelling within the game is superb without causing my system to grind to a ultra slow march. Spectacular graphics with settings maxed out- well worth the upgrade of your video card if required.
