Genuinely one of the best games I've ever played. Horizon Forbidden West is the greatly anticipated sequel to Horizon Zero Dawn, and it delivers on just about every beat. The graphics are incredible and stunning, though, I choose to run my game on performance mode at 60FPS. The story, characters, world-building, and setting have all been expanded/improved upon from the first game. The plot itself is compelling and it's nice to see old faces amongst new ones. The soundtrack is perfect and similar to the old game with just enough subtle differences to make it sound foreign to those who played the first game. The accessibility options are also top shelf and give the player a range of settings to tailor to their own experiences. Overall, Horizon Forbidden West is a fantastic game and open to veterans of the franchise, or new players looking for new experiences.

I cannot believe this game has such a low score. Cloudpunk isn't for everyone, but it's one of my favorite games of all time. If Death Stranding and Bladerunner had a baby, it'd be Cloudpunk. If you think delivering packages a la hover car in a dystopian mega city, with your AI dog as a companion, sounds like a good time? You're in luck. The writing in this game is excellent and some of the best I've ever experienced. We love a good anti-capitalist slant. The worldbuiding, environments, dialogue, writing, and voice acting are all of the highest caliber. And it's almost soothing to play. One mission even brought me to tears. I cannot recommend this game enough. Unless you don't like voxel graphics, that is.

I will come back to flesh out this review further, but Psychonauts 2 is an absolute MUST PLAY for fans of the action/adventure/platformer genre. Ratchet & Clank was incredible from a technical standpoint, but Psychonauts just has so much... heart. The game touches on complex and uncomfortable topics such as depression, PTSD, and addiction; and it does so in a responsible way. An excellent game and in my top 10 favorites.

I have never been interested in Metroidvania games, but FIST is absolutely essential. I had a blast playing it and the worldbuilding is top shelf material. Such a fantastic game.

Disco Elysium is a masterpiece. The Final Cut improves upon the original with more voice acting and streamlined gameplay mechanics. The game has excellent characters who the player will develop deep bonds with, a story that is compelling, and events that can fold out in any number of ways with player choice. The art style is of particular interest to me because it tells the story of Revachol in such an evocative manner. The environments are intricate and detailed in a way that makes the city feel alive. Politics touch every aspect of our lives. Games, media, entertainment, etc are all inherently political, but I'd argue this is the only game that gets it right. The narrative and characters are captivating. The choices you make in game have weight and I often found myself agonizing over paths to take because I was engrossed in the protagonist's situation. I'd recommend this game to anyone who enjoys RPG's and doesn't care if they're a bit text heavy.

The Last of Us Part 2 is a wonderful game with relatable characters and a gut wrenching story. Ellie and Joel return with the sequel to a phenomenal game that has been improved upon in nearly every aspect. The new gameplay mechanics feel fresh (modding weapons), the accessibility options are numerous and one of the best in the games industry currently, and it just feels GOOD. I had a blast playing this game. The story can be very dark and does get a bit pretentious at times, but the game makes up for it with the stunning visuals, fun gameplay, compelling worldbuilding and characters, and highly interactive environments. Overall, this game is in one of my top ten favorites of all time. I highly recommend it, especially for fans of the first game. edit: lol @ all the salty, fragile egos voting this non-helpful

I have enjoyed all of Frogware's games, but this is my favorite to date. The cast, voice acting, and narrative are all superb. I found myself invested in the characters' stories right from the start. Jon, in particular, is a captivating character. The gameplay mechanics never feel monotonous, and I found myself enjoying taking on case after case. The open world isn't expansive, but it feels alive. As for the story, it was unpredictable and funny and heart wrenching all at once. Despite a modicum of lazy sexism, the game manages to handle sensitive topics/situations quite well. In short, if you enjoy detective games? Don't miss this one.

In my top 5 favorite games of all time. All games are political inherently, but I'd argue this is the only game that gets it right. The narrative and characters are captivating. Gameplay is smooth and intriguing. The choices you make in game have weight and I often found myself agonizing over paths to take because I was that engrossed. The Communist playthrough is my favorite so far. Cannot wait for the Final Cut to release on console in March.

Game has myriad of technical issues and bugs. Audiovisual glitches, textures and assets popping in and out, game progression blocking bugs, and it has crashed on me 5 times in four hours. It is unplayable.

Filled with microtransactions, rife with uninteresting dialogue, and shallow "storytelling;" Marvel's Avengers succeeds in one way: attempting to take more of your money. It's a cash grab. And a **** one, at that.

This game had so much potential, but it was squandered by a studio in crisis. EA and BioWare's brutal work environments contributed to a game that feels unfinished. While beautiful and fun to use the flying mechanics, Anthem lacks a compelling story or characters. The loot is NOT consistent with diminishing returns, and the game cannot be played alone (if you want to have fun). Overall the game is wrought with bugs and patches for those bugs that only serve to make the game worse. BioWare and EA have 100% lost my faith and I will never pre-order a game from them again. Lest it be shipped unfinished. TL;DR The Division 2 will become a benchmark for the looter shooter genre, and Anthem will be a story of caution and dismay. Do yourself a favor and uninstall this garbage game.
