Great movie. I read the book last year and was excited for the adaptation and hoping it’d keep that same dry humour and the way Weir methodically works through the science without dumbing it down. It delivered. The film stays bang on course with the spirit of the book, but still feels like a quality cinematic ride. Characters are great, the story grips you from the off, and it’s just hugely enjoyable. Took my son along to the cinema with, he no idea of the plot, so you can imagine his face during certain bits. He talked about it the whole drive home. Made our evening. At last, some decent science 'fiction' that doesn’t treat you like an idiot. If you liked. Go see it, great fun. More please.

It was a beautiful movie and I really enjoyed it but it just felt like it was lacking a soul. It just felt like it was a little forced. I just didn't get the tingles I was hoping for like I got when watching the David Lynch Dune.

Great movie stunning cinematography and score good start to the Dune series.

Awful movie. Story was awful. Characters were really stupid and annoying, acting was what you wails expect from something a lot lower budget and what were they thinking with the camera work? Depth of field was over the place ….

Visually amazing but a mess. It just seems that whoever wrote this was trying to cram in a list pre-determined ideological goals. I found myself laughing upon numerous occasions, but not to any scripted humour other than Korg who is brilliant, but to the more cringe worthy parts. Four points go towards visual and effects team, awesome work, oh and Korg.
