This is not a documentary for people who can't take out of their heads the typical form of the genre, and that's something to appreciate from Moonage Daydream, that it feels as original, fresh and with that much of fantasy to make us feel that its really David Bowie the subject matter of this film, specially his work as an artist. Moonage Daydream is set to be seen on the biggest screen posible, with the loudest speakers and with a great amount of people, it will be an experience worthy of your money and time
Dune is the movie spectacle of the year. This movie is not for everyone, but I believe that if you're excited for this film and you do some research (not that you need it, but it can help to understand better and to sumerge in this world in an easier way) and you understand that this is not an generic box office, Dune will be a total blast. The special effects are incredible as well as the sound and the score. The cast is a dream, but of course, the main performances (Chalamet and Ferguson) are the ones that carry the movie, but Jason Momoa and Stellan Skarsgard can steal some scenes as well. In the end, Dune is almost a perfect movie, with smart storytelling that is not easy, but once decoded, is a wonder.
Parasite is the kind of movie that needs to be seen by everyone. This film is funny, is suspenseful, is a satire, it has everything. Bong Joon Ho has created a complete masterpiece fill with amazing performances, great cinematography, excellent music and a screenplay that will be studied for years to come.
The Downton Abbey film is a pleasure for fans, and an enjoyable film for some who hasn't been able to watch the tv show. It is not a perfect film, there are some characters that have nothing to do and are just there because they were in the tv show, some plots that were kind of unnecessary, but in the end, Downton is very entertaining, charming and funny enough to preserve the status that had when the show ended.
It would not be fair to compare this movie with Bohemian Rhapsody, because they´re not the same movie. Bohemian Rhapsody is a straight up biopic, while Rocketman is a musical fantasy, but there´s something I could say about this two movies, I did not like Bohemian Rhapsody, just a fact. Rocketman uses Elton John songs to tell his story, and every song is earned and very well use. Taron Egerton is the star of the film, his performance is worthy of an Oscar, I mean, he sings, dances and acts. But his performance was not the only good one, everyone is absolutely great, there´s no problems with any of them. The musical scenes are phenomenal (specially "Saturday´s Night Alright For Fighting", you will wanna dance in this one; also call out to the "Rocketman" sequence) The only thing that bothered me was the passing in some scenes but it´s something minor. In the end, "Rocketman" is a glance at the life of an icon, in his point of view and using his personal style, the result is extraordinary. Please, go watch this movie, is an amazing experience that I can´t wait to watch again.
I mean, is not "practically perfect in every way" as the original, but is a strong sequel that make me smile all the time. It is not entirely based on references to the original movie, but there are more that I would like, and Emily Blunt is perfect as Mary Poppins, she makes the role her own. It is a worth watch, so please, go see it with all your family, because it is so much fun and enjoy in here.

Hereditary is the first movie of director Ari Aster. Now, a director with no experience and the fact that he do a movie that is taken as this generation "The Exorcist", means that Aster is going to be one of the best directors of this century. The movie is scary, but not scary as we are used to. It has no jump scares and it has a long time to describe the pain that the family in the movie is going through. I don´t know if this was the intention of the director, but Hereditary makes your blood cold using all that you think you know about a scary movie against you; you never know what is going to happen and if you´re into the movie it´s kind of a torture because you will never look away because they are certain details that you´re going to be interest in and those details will also make you doubt about what is going to happen. A lot of people are not going to like this movie because it is not a "normal" or "generic" horror movie, but the people that love to have surprises in movies and love to be challenged in movies, will love this one. Toni Collette gives the best performance of her career, she has to do a lot of things in the movie, some things really scary and heartbreaking that you just think, "how did she do it? Also Nat Wolff was really good, his character is in pain almost the entire movie, and he knows exactly how to control certain emotions so that it doesn't´t get over the top in some scenes. This is not a perfect movie; one of the issues that I have is that in the middle of the movie, there are a few moments where I was wondering where the movie was going but not in the good way, I thought that the movie was just stuck, but there was only like ten minutes of it, and also I would love more ambiguity in the movie, it´s not that the things that they give away to the audience were bad, just that the way that they did in the last ten minutes of the movie were given literally, and I would love that the movie would give the audience the chance of discover some things by our own. In the end, Hereditary is a really good movie, one of the best horror movies in recent memory, a movie that you will not forget after you got to sleep, a movie that you will talk about for a long time.
Infinity War is one of the most unpredictable movies of the marvel cinematic universe (even when it has some predictable things) The movie is entertaining and funny, is an 149 minutes long, but it doesn't feel like it. The performances of all the actors is really good, but I had to highlight the performance of Josh Brolin as the villain, Thanos. The character is terrifying and you can feel that something could go terrible wrong when he´s on screen, he is the character that, to me, is the most interesting in the movie, and thetas really good, because a movie like this without a great villain could not be a good movie, and Brolin brings something additional to the character with his performance, even when the character is made by CGI, the performance is still very powerful, is like Andy Serkis as Caesar in the new Planet of the Apes movies. The visual effects are, of course amazing and makes what the best visual effects do, make you believe that what is on screen is real. Now, I have to speak about the negative points of the movie. First, it is a lot, the story tat they´re telling here could have been not a bit of a mess (like it is the movie) if they were telling it as a 10 episode series or something like that, but a movie can´t do that, so the result that we have on screen is a lot, and sometimes you can forget what some characters were doing at the beginning of the movie because they appear in minute 10 and the appear again on minute 40. Of course, everything that´s going on is important, but that problem makes you feel a little disconnected with some characters. Speaking about the characters, there were some that were really useless in the movie, and they were only there because they were introduced before. Stay for the scene after the credits, it is amazing, not like the one in Spiderman homecoming. In the end, infinity war will please fans and it will make them even more anxious for the next avengers movie. Watch out at the end, maybe you'll cry.
A must see experience. I already knew that the movie was getting excellent reviews, so my expectations were high for this movie, and I was shaking at the end of it. The movie is really tense and really (and surprisingly emotional) Some would argue that this is a suspenseful movie, but is actually a horror movie, but a lot of people wont se this movie like that because at this days were not used to this type of movie. The thing is that, the movie presents this family, and we care for them, and the things that they´re going through are really terrifying, so to us is terrifying as well. The performances are excellent, with the acting there is nothing more to say than incredible. Emily Blunt is the one that gives the best performance, but everyone is brilliant. Her husband (the director, co writer and star in the movie) proves that he is capable enough to take a project as interesting as this and not leave it just in interesting. The work that he does is fantastic, specially with the sound of the movie that is one of the main protagonist in the movie. I have two issues with the movie. The first is that, (this is not a spoiler) Emily Blunt´s character is pregnant, and that is not believable, not considering the situation that the characters are living, it´s true that the pregnancy stuff adds something to the movie, but still is not believable. And the second flaw that I found was the last twenty seconds of the movie. That is when you notice that the movie was produced by Michael Bay. At the end, A Quiet Place is one of the most intense and scary movies that I have seen, and I highly recommend this movie, I can say that the movie was an experience. And please, stay as quiet as possible in the movie, because it will not be the same if you're eating popcorn very loud, or if you're cellphone rings in the middle of the movie.
Star Wars: Episode VIII- The last jedi, is a good movie. Is not the best of all, but is good, and there are some things that are interesting. Even that the movie is 152 minutes long, it doesn't´t feel that long. I like Episode VII more than this, but this movie feels a little more epic. Rain Johnson is a good director, not only let us see the characters developed in the way they do, but also visually, is stunning. The performances are amazing, specially from Daisy Ridley and Mark Hamill, not saying that the other actors are not good, because everyone is great, but Daisy and Mark gave the best performances of their careers in this movie. The issues of this movie, at least to me, is that the movie takes some decisions that they were not good for the movie (like the direction of a character, and the fact that the movie could be 20 minutes short) I would love to explore Laura Dern character a little bit more. Also, the movie could use some more dark moments. Leaving that behind, the movie was entertaining and has some epic moments, that in the future, Star Wars fans will look up **** the best Star Wars movie, but it´s a good one.
Blade Runner 2049 is, in my opinion, better than the first movie. The movie, that is almost three hours long, it doesn´t seem like that, in fact, I wanted to last 30 minutes more, at least. Denis Villenueve is proving to the world, that he is one of the best directors working today, with titles like "Arrival"; now, he has another masterpiece to add to his references. This movie is gorgeous, the visuals are incredible, something that exceeded my expectations. Ryan Gosling does his best performance ever. Harrison Ford is good also, and his presence in the movie is not only for pleasing fans of the first movie, it has a purpose. Some will say that this movie it´s more complicated than the first one, but I don´t think so, in fact, this movie is more easy to digest than the first one. As a note, this would not be pleasent, if you have not seen the first one. In the end, Blade Runner 2049 is a masterpiece, something to not be missed if you love cinema (and if you like the first movie)
The moment I entered the movie theater, I though this movie was based on true events, and I kept thinking that through the entire movie, that was the reasonof why I overlook some things of the movie that they felt exaggerated. But when the credits appeared, I realized that I was wrong, this movie was based on a book, after that, my opinion of the movie was another. Kate Winslet and Idris Elba, they´re both very likeable actors, and that´s the only reason of why we´re interested in what they do on screen, but, if the actors were other people, we would be extremely bored. There are some things that do not make sense, some long scenes and unnecessary scenes. I believe the romance between the two leads though, but again, it was because of the actors. The photography and looks of the movie are great, I felt cold during the movie. In the end, The mountain between us it´s not a remarkable movie, not worthy of your money if you are looking for a good movie, but if you have nothing to do, you can check it out; because overall, it´s not boring.
"It" is a good movie, is not as scary as you may think it is, but you are never bored, you will laugh and sympathize with the kids; and the movie sometimes it could be surprisingly charming. In my opinion, "It" is worth watching, even more than just once.
Spiderman Homecoming is a fun movie, you will get laughs and great visual effects. Tom Holland makes the character even more likeable than Tobey maguire and Andrew Garfield, but that doesn´t compensates that the movie has its flaws. First, the movie has action scenes, of course is a superheroe movie so it has to have action scenes, but this ones (except of one in the climax of the movie) are forgettable. They should have been like two or three and be awsome and unforgettable, that the movie be identify with that action scene, to be the best moments of the movie, but the best moments are with Peter Parker being a normal kid, and have teen issues. Peter´s friend is a good character, it makes you laugh for the way the character is, not because suddenly it has to be funny, is the essence of the character. Also Aunt May and Michelle are funny in the same way as Peter´s friend. The movie has great jokes but, as in all of Marvel movies, it has some moments when it wasn´t nessesary. Michael Keaton is great in this movie, his villan is understandable, but i wish i could have seen more of him. In the end, this new spiderman movie is entertaining, funny and charming at times, but it´s not the best of the character movies (the best is 2002 spiderman 2) but you could have a great time. If you´re a true Marvel and comic fan you have to stay to the post-credicts scenes, if you just like this movies but not loved them at an insane level or just want to have a good time don´t stay.

The last two films were funny and charming, this movie is the half of charming and funny than the other two movies. Despicable 3 deals with a lot of subplots that are not helping or supporting the main plot. Margo, Agnes and Edith are characters that are just there cause the´re were important in the first film but they are boring and useless. The villan is good but there´s a lot of the same jokes about him that it could be anoying. And Dru (Gru´s brother) its anoying and unfunny even though it´s Gru´s same voice with an other accent. The movie is good for children because they will have a lot of laughs at every time of the movie, and adults that love their childresn will have fun two because they are with their children.
The movie changes what you might saw on previous documentaries. It´s different, but it is still a documentary. Casting JonBenét is a good movie, one that could not be seen more than once because it doesn´t have that watchable thing, but it´s good enough to see it just once. At the end, Casting JonBenét is a good documentary that keeps you thinking all the 80 minutes
Get out is a good Black Mirror episode. It´s strange in the good way and sometimes you´re excited to see what happens, but the movie itself is predictable so the surprises are little. It´s a movie that in the end won´t scared you but it might intrigue you.
Lego Batman movie is not the lego movie, it shouldn´t but what i meant is the quality of the movie should be the same. The animation is good, but the jokes are just to much and that can be tired to see and anoying sometimes because you just don´t laugh because if you see the trailers those are the best jokes. Okja is a trully beautiful film. This is a rare and unique film that is a trully wonder to see. Some moements may not get you (it´s humor) but there´s not to much of it. Tilda Swinton and Jake Gyllenhall are really good, but the little girl Seo-hyeon Ahn is the one that stoles the show. It´s trully worth it, even if you only see it once
The movie could be just ok, but the characters don´t mean anything to you. What I want to say is that i didn´t care for any of this characters, I was more interested in the photography and scenarios, the characters may die or not and to me will be like nothing happened. The story is not as good to be a movie of 2 hours and 12 minutes. It´s strange to think that this movie was nomitaded at the oscars for best picture, maybe the voters just felt the "american proud ,powerful and invencible" fever that is present in the entire movie
La La Land deserves the attention that has recieved because it is a movie musical that it´s not based on broadway or something else, but the script even when it´s not based in something, it´s not original. The music numbers and some scenes are memorable, but when the movie is not given us that, we noticed that we´ve been haunted because of the good music and dance numbers, but the movie itself, it´s boring and predictable. Maybe, even with this problems, at the end you´ll be crying, and it will be deserve of it. At the end, La La Land may be a good movie, just for entertaining.
Moonlight, is a movie that could have done a lot, but some things are missing in the final result. Has good performances, specially from Naomi Harris that deserved that Oscar instead of Viola Davis. The story is simple but that´s not my complain, the movie could have been simple and be great, however, there are some themes that they´ve should have explored more. The end is not good, i think it´s a poor ending, but, it´s worth watching. Only once
Wonder Woman has done something that much of the super hero movies seem to forget, this movies are suposed to surprise us. Not only with the great action sequences, also with the story that presenta. The thing that i was more sorprise of, is that is unpredictable, so when the conclussion comes, it hits you really hard
Esta podría ser la mejor película acerca de la historia de blanca nieves. Tiene momentos conmovedores los cuales de verdad se sienten en el corazón, algo que la versión de disney no logró hacer. Tiene también muchos momentos góticos y extraños pero algunos son divertidos y otros son motivo de no respirar. El problema con esta película es que, en un momento a la protagonista se le pone el nombre de blanca nieves cosa que no pasa desde el principio, esto no debió ser ya que todos conocemos la historia de blanca nieves y no necesitamos que a la protagonista se le llame así ya que este no es un cuento fiel a la versión que todos conocemos. Pero al fin y al cabo, esta película es muy entretenida a pesar de ser en blanco y negro y de ser muda. Vale la pena verla, eso si, no sería mala idea que solo la vieran adultos.
This is the best performance of Natalie Portman to date. The movie is only 100 minutes long and it doesn´t need more time to get inside us. Jackie is very well directed by pablo larrain. This is not totally a biopic, they used a lot of imagination to do this movie, if i didn´t investigate about the movie and figure this i could actually believed that all of this happened, exactly as they told us.
The master is, i believe, the best movie made by Paul Thomas Anderson. It has masterfull performances with Joaquin Phoenix on his best. The story may seem not to give much but believe me, it gives a lot to the movie. It´s incredible that a man could think in something like this and take it to the screen in a masterful way, but Thomas Anderson did.

This is for adults for sure, but when you´re kids are old enough please let them see this movie. At the end of the movie you make what some characters do in the movie constantly: disobey.
This is not a normal movie, this movie will keep you thinking even when it ends. Elle proves that not all movies have to complete a formulary, sometimes a movie can be so unexpected and so out of the rules and be really a masterpiece, this is teh case of Elle. With a really Oscar performance from Isabelle Huppert, Elle is a must see experience. The director don´t go on directions that one could expect, in this movie you would think that the movie is over at the 3/4 of it, but then you realized that are more minutes of the movie, and that´s when you´re lost and the movie is not gonna help you find it, you must find it. There are so little movies that are really mind-breaking without presenting a new topic, however Elle does break your mind in a way that you couldn´t expected. There are some people that because of this may not like the movie, but everybody has their reasons to like or not like this movie
Maps to the stars is a unique movie. It has great actors delivering really good performances (Julianne Moore is the best) a first class director and a Cannes Film Festival Selection logo on the poster. This will be a movie for a ten, but something´s missing, a better script. The script has some fails that make the movie seem a little improvised, with scenes that are over the top and situations very predictable and a very dissapointing ending. However, this movie (at least until the end) delievers a really creepy version of Hollywood that is valid and unfortunately truth
This is where i leave you has some funny moments if we only keep those moments, we will only have like 20 minutes of a movie, and it will be still a horrible piece. The plot which is so cliche by the way but that´s not the issue with this movie, the issue are the characters. They´re all the same, all have the same kind of answers and personalities and makes this movie annoying. The lack of real characters makes the situation feel unreal. It tries to be real but it fails, the moments are so forced that is frustrating at times. There´s no good performance here, there are a lot of funny and charismatic actors that bring their sympathy to the screen but there´s no performance at all. Don´t see this movie, if you want to see a family comedy about lost, there are a lot of other titles. Don´t waste your money
I usually never said that a peformance can save a movie, but in this case, Joaquin phoenix really saves the movie (just a little) His performance is spectacular, maybe is the not so good performances around him that makes him shine but Phoenix really deserved an academy award nomination for best actor for saving a film that is highly overated (i´ve only see that in the case of some Meryl Streep movies) The movie greatest issue, is that in the fisrt half hour, the movie gives us a plot, which is good, then it give us another one, and then another and another and another. It makes us feel like we´re seeing a lot of short films united in one with Joaquin´s character in every of them. At the end of the movie, you know that something happened, something really big, but you don´t know what.
Mulholland drive is a great movie. David Lynch bravura direction is the best in the movie, is like he´s there watching all the madness happening and laughing at us reacting to that. This movie has no structure (and in this case is a good thing) and is what it makes it s special and so memorable. Naomi Watts is perfect as Betty, we belueved in her inocence but also in her inner beast. The only problem of the film is that some scenes are too long to keep viewers amusement. Overall, this movie is really worth watching (only if you love cinema)
The first act of Atonement is brilliant, but the second act is not good because of the change of tone, it appears that is not the same movie. The third act is good and helps the movie not to collapse. In the end Atonement is not a bad movie, but i will never see it again

Biographic films are a lot of cliches now. And this has to, but, with an intelligent script, and incredible performances, that dosen´t matter. Benedict Cumberbatch is in his best role ever in his career, he is the film, you only look at him, and you know, that is Alan Turing. Keira Knightley is great too, it´s very different the role of Joan Clarke than any other that she´s done. Also Alexandre Desplat proves that he is the best composer of soundtracks in movie industry. I really recomend this film. It´s just amazing
