Assassin's Creed Syndicate6

I think i was a bit to harsh on Unity. Syndicate isn't bad game, but they haven't fixed any of major issues with Unity. The game runs terribly on pc even now, far worse than Unity. Stealth is... improved i think, whistle and carrying bodies were definetly needed in Unity. Combat is now worse imo and too simple, Unity didn't have anything special about its combat because it wanted you to do stealth, light punishment for messing up. Here combat tries to go for something and arrives at nothing, not bad just mid. Story is at least not as disjointed as in Unity, but the writing is pretty bad and makes me appreciate how actually little of plot there is in Unity. The game is torn in two directions by both protagonists who are not bad, just a bit too disconected from each other. Evie is the dominant of the two, but her missions are worse than Jacob's imo. Probably still worth playing, parkour is still fun and the negatives can be ignored or even liked.

Man this is where series died second tim. Still, it's a good game at it's core. The story isn't great, but its fine and just works. The gameplay style is just a bad fit for the series, stabing somebody in the back and not killing them in AC game feels wrong. But it's a good gameplay regardless. It can be tiresome to play the game somethimes, it really is bloated, but not that much. Unlike Odyssey i can't separate this game form the series and it would have been a pretty good end note for the series. I rated the game by the series standarts, if it was standalone i would have give it a 7 most likely. Still worth playing

Decent, even good, game. Shame it's tied to AC and has nothing to do with it. Gameplay is fun, but the writing is trully terrible, almost all characters talk the same way, like a millenial writer. Modern time segments are the worst and only bring the game down by a lot. If not for the writing and being called AC i would have given it 8, but writing in particular hurts the game so much.

I want to like this game but i can't. There are good things about it, very good that really shine after most of the issues the game had on release were ironed out. The game is beautiful, maybe a bit to bright tho. Parkour is an improvement on what we got in 3, still doesnt feel as responsive as in 1 or Ezio games, but it's good non the less and fun. Improvements to the stealth are also nice and i wish they moved into stealth game direction instead of what we got in Origins, it's ASSASSIN'S Creed like come on. Combat is fine, but feels less satisfying that it was in previos games, but i can easily see how someone can like it a lot. But overall everything just lacks polish, great ideas with just good/fine executions. That pretty much all the great things about it. I genuinely think that while on their own online features are cool and fun it came with too high of a price. Story is just a mess, it's choppy and that makes the game feel extreamly disjointed. Missions feel like they just happen. And the story the game tries to tell itself is just patheticaly weak, characters are so flat and uniteresting i couldn't care less about what happens to them. Previous games didn't have some kind of masterpiece of the story, but it was a glue that held it all together. It kinda reminds me of Deus Ex Mankind Devided, the games just feel similar. I really wish we lived in the world were they decided not to play things save with the next one and went further into stealth, but instead we live in a world with (pretty fine tbh) games that don't even have a single thing about them that relates them to AC except for their name.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Director's Cut7
Jul 6, 2026
A good game that is so close to being great. The issue is it's not good as Deus Ex game. Story drags it down a bit, but even then it isn't bad. If there wasn't Deus Ex title attached to it i would have liked more (It's a prequel, but the setting is more futuristic than original and about on par with invisible war). Overall, worth the money and time i spent on it, the gamaplay is just very good.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails beyond the Horizon6

I am a fan of the series and played and will play every game in the series. But im just tired. Tired of writing becoming worse and worse with each new game. Every addition to the past events doesnt feel natural, they feel like rewrites. Too many character. Everyone knows everything. Ouroboros is a total **** the gameplay is really, really good. Old-new addition to combat and rebalance of shard skills makes combat and character building really fun. The worst part is localization. Idk how did they managed to make worse localization than daybreak 2, but here we are. Why do characters speak like chronicaly online people from our world? When not massacared by localizations almost every character is fairly likable and interesting(speaking about main cast). If cold steel felt like bad avengers type story, this one just feels like a clown car.
After replaying the game a bit i'm more levelheaded. My new issue is how both plots of Rean and Kevin are more important and interesting than one Van has. Main character of the arc has what feels like side story that blends into main one in the end. I hope next game has more focus and trims some characters from the cast. Also Van-Agnes dynamic is weird and makes me weird inside, i hope there will be more Elain-Van moments in the next game. Can't wait for SC remake tho, game with actually great story.

Second best Tales game. Story is fairly good(Tales games dont have the best plots anyways), my main issue is with relationship between MC and one other character. Its kinda becomes gross near the end imo and i wish it didnt make this turn. Main issue is graphics that are extreamly dated, game looks like a launch title for PS3. The gameplay is fun, a bit clunky, but far better than the one they had in Xillia and Vesperia. I can only recomend the game if you played Arise and really liked it, otherwise there are better jrpg's to spend your time on

I am very conflicted on this game. The story and graphics are fine(considering when it was first released). But oh boy the gameplay ****. The core of the combat system in this game is literal bug/glitch. Canceling animations doesnt sound like a bug at first, but when you attempt to do it you quickly learn that tutorial the game provides is terrible(on top of being waaay to late) and the way you actually do this "technique" is near imposible to do on keyboard. If i played on XBOX or PS i would have given the game like 5 or 6, the combat is still reliant on bug, but since its PC and you might not have controller(or have one that is broken or sum) the game becomes unplayable. Plus the combat itself has identity crisis and doesnt know if it wants to be a fighting game or action one. This was somewhat fixed in Xilia and Xilia 2, but even in those games the combat is clunky at its absolute best. Compare it to Tales of Graces you actually wonder how they even managed to create combat system so horrible and unresponsive(Vesperia) while also being able to create one that is extreamy fun and engaging(Graces). Most recent game in this series had combat system closer to FF7 remakes and 2 before that expand on the system that Graces had. I really wish this abominationof combat was changed in re-release.

Slight spoilers I had fun playing game for 2/3 of the time. It looks good, plays well. But story isn't very good, its ranges from good to bleh. As an example, main female character undoes her arc just to repeat it a couple hours later. I actually liked all the character and i still do, but i really have to overlook the fact that last 1/3 of the story is either unfinished or wasn't re-writen to match other parts. The dialogue with diet Sephiroth at the end of the game feels out of place, he had like 10 lines of dialogue prior to that, which leads me to believe he probably was supposed to actually have personality and minivation. Also, from the moment with undoing character arc that i spoke prior till the end of the game everything is hyper rushed. Locations are super bland and empty, the only content it them are reskined enemies and skits. Last dungeon is so empty and big it hurts.
The combat attempts to persuade you to do combos on enemies, but like when you reach third/forth region you start to understand that spaming your fastest or ranged move that is relativley fast so you wont get punished is the best way to beat anything. It's probably best Tales game i have played or second best to Berseria. I played other games(Vesperia, Xillia 1 and 2, Graces and Berseria) and this one did less things bad than others.

The game is fine. Just fine. It clearly was a lower budget title that had to do some sacrifices. Story basically doesnt have first act. It jumps right into the main conflict, which doesnt give you time to attach to 2 characters that very obviously gonna die. On the flip side it doesnt really have third act too, last few hours of the game are both rushed(story-wise) and stretched(gameplay-wise). So you basically recive an unfinished story with undertuned gameplay. All the issues with the game would be soleved via higher budget. I compared this game in my mind to Trails series and Tales series. Tails series exchaged its graphics for story and gameplay, Tales series is all over the place, but as example Tales of Arise exchanges its story for gameplay and graphics. This feels like they sacrificed pieces of everything to make what they had better. The whole act 2 of the story is good, its lack of act 1 and rushed act 3 that makes it mid. Powers are usefull and fun to use, but the general combat is fairly barebones and dodge is strait up useless. Graphics are good, but there are not a lot of locations to see and last few of them are visualy boring. Its just an okay game that clearly had potential to be much better.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel IV - The End of Saga5

I will talk about 3 and 4 as one big game. The story is terrible and ruins the whole game. Too much at stake, yet by the end you starting to understand that nothing actually was at stake. There are no actual propper vilian like Weissmann was in Sky games. In the end villians plan actually works and acomplishes what he wanted. Did main cast improve outcome? Yeah, but only a bit tbh. Still. like 90% of saving the world was done by villian. And its due to how story is basicaly written that only his way has chance to be succsessful. Almost all characters are redused to their basic character traits, even the ones that got introdused in third game. And those are lucky, since some of them get butchered, specificaly Clair. You know you screwed up when the character that paired up with her actually does better job at representing what she wanted to be, i'm talking about Lechter. I only wish they didn't go with direction of remaking cold steel 1 and 2 and actually made a proper sequel with smaller stakes so there wont be as many characters in the story.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails through Daybreak8
Oct 16, 2025
I like this game. After not so great 3, 4 and reverie it felt like breath of fresh air. I like new combat, while nothing spectacular graphics are quite nice and story returns to the style of Sky games and Zero/Azure, being less about fate of the world and more about actual caracters in it. Yes there is still a pertty big crisis during the climax of the story, but nothing like a WORLD WAR and THE END OF THE WORLD. I also liked characters in general, Van is not perfect, but he has his charm and potential to be a great character in future games. I only wish they abbandoned this annoying persona-like hangouts mechanic, it just robs you of some character moments for no real reason.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails into Reverie6
Oct 16, 2025
Not bad, its just the game doesn't actually feel like a proper game. It's a dlc that was made to look like a full game. I dont even really have anything to say about this game since its mid at bestonly thanks to one specific character and gameplay that it inherited from past games. Total filler.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails through Daybreak II3
Oct 16, 2025
Disapointment. Totally filler game that didn't need to exist. I don't really like Reverie since its basicaly a dlc stretched out to the length of full game.
This is the same, but worse, much worse. It's the worst kind of sequel that places charater back to square one, just changes the journey. Also the journey itself is terrible, the writing is awfull. On top of that translation is so bad it made me actually want to drop tha game and never play it ****'s an overblown pointless dlc. That's it.
Thanks God 1st chapter was spared of this fate, actually more hyped for remake of SC rather than Horizon. First Daybreak gave me hope for this series, this game destroyed it.

Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter8

Enjoyed the game. Played the original for the first time about 1.5 years ago. Feels like the same story, but told with improved everything. Gameplay is great, but it's basically the same gameplay as in Daybreak games. Main issue is graphics actually, models and animations specifically. They just look stiff and all male models are way to thin(actually same with female models but males are just much worse).

A weird one. Story wants to be complex with heavy topics like trauma and loss, but then falls flat on its face when characters do another stupid thing that makes little to no sense or they put another meaningless fan service scene that just annoys you. Combat is really fun, but you will have to stomach 10-20 hours of it being sluggish and incomplete.Game suffers from the same side quest issue as the first one or Nier Replicant. You just running from point A to point B and in some cases you rewarded with pretty interesting substories. But it’s like 20% of side quests. Other 80% doesn’t reward you with anything and wastes your time. The gacha system is definitely… interesting. Blades should be rewards from quests, not from grinding for hours. The game loves to waste your time in general. You better go play Xenogears than this game and only after that you should play XC2 and see how badly they screwed up with this game’s story and characters. Rex, as a character is just fine, but nothing is interesting about him. His relationship with Pyra/Mythra is pretty empty too, Pyra is flat as a character, doesn’t say much when it comes to story relevant thing nor she shown herself to be useful in combat during cutscenes. Mythra is definitely better, but not by much. At least she was useful in cutscene fights. To be fair, rare blades have more interesting personalities that main cast. I found myself being more sympathetic towards antagonists that heroes. At least they all had some semblance of personality. It is not a “rough” gem, it is mediocre game with neat ideas. If you want gem, go play Nier Replicant.

If you see “woke” or something like it in a review - don’t trust it.
The game is incredibly boring. Combat has no substance to it nor it is flashy enough. Graphics in general are good tho. But art direction is questionable at best. Story is pretty meh. No meaningful choices in dialogues too. Characters look weird at best and flat out ugly at worst. Their personalities are not that great either. It is truly a sequel to Inquisition.
