Not very well optimized, changes things for the worse, poor map design compared to previous entries in an attempt to make "le epic looking map scenario" completely undermining the idea that battlefield is user generated epic and chaotic moments.

Easily one of the best games I have ever had the joy of experiencing. With charming characters, an intriguing story and a captivating soundtrack. I have played through the story twice (once on PS4 and once on PC/Mobile) and the game still leaves me in awe every time I simply go to do my daily quests. I have played for hundreds of hours since launch and with the release of more content down the line I believe it is one of the best free to play games currently available. Even if you dislike gacha games or RPG games I still recommend at least giving it a try and seeing if you enjoy it.

This was the first game that made me cry in the past 10 or so years. The controls are great, the soundtrack sends shivers down my spine, and the story is incredible. The multiplayer does feel a bit unbalanced... for the first 2 hours. Stick with this game and you will have hours of fun for a lower than average price.

Honestly my favorite Pokémon game yet! While the National Dex was cut, thus the game getting a 9, they fixed so much that I’m honestly not that mad. With the new way random encounters work you aren’t forced into 1 turn battles just to get a single TM. GameFreak also made the tutorial skip able, unlike Sun & Moon. The new league cards offer a fun side “game”, and the y-comm allows for so much longevity. This game could last for years (with an update adding the National Dex) and I would still return.
