Lost Planet 310

Lost Planet 3 is definitely a hugely different game from its predecessors. As a veteran of the franchise, I actually prefer this one over the first and second. The game is more story-oriented with a sort of open-world style of gameplay. There are upgrades to purchase and sidequests to do, which really give the game a more complete feel to it. The actual shooting mechanics have changed drastically, now being over the shoulder, not unlike resident evil. The world is fun to explore with beautiful environment and many enemies or upgrades to find. The best part though, is the story and characters. The lead character, Jim, is well written and acted, making him and the story quite believable. The multiplayer isn't as good as Lost planet 2, but it still remains fun with a decent progression system and some interesting game modes. Overall, I found Lost Planet 3 to be an engrossing and very fun game. If you like third-person shooters, great story, or just an interesting and atmospheric adventure, I highly recommend Lost Planet 3. Another thing though, if you are a fan and were expecting something like the first 2, you will be disappointed.

N3II: Ninety-Nine Nights10

This game is only for people that enjoy the genre. That about sums it up. If you hate these kinds of games, you won't like it. If you do, you'll either think it's average or love it. I must say that I'm with the latter, as I really enjoyed this game! It has it's instant flaws like no local co-op and 5 characters that aren't very different by moveset. However, the levels are HUGE and really fun to play through. There are tons of cool skills to unlock which can mix up the mashing of X and Y. Unlike the first N3 which I don't like, the characters are actually interesting and have some solid voice actors like Troy Baker and Steve Blum. The lip syncing is way better then N3, except in some areas where it can get rather off. The game also looks pretty good, awesome and varied environments and excellent combat animations with cool enemy design. The boss battles are a major complaint from lots of people, personally, I think there awesome! They're large and cool, and the battles themselves are really fun and challenging.

Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge0

I'm happy that Team Ninja at least TRIED to make it better, but to be honest, it doesn't justify another purchase or playthrough, even at a discounted price. I really can't see what is so different other than a couple of new levels and some generally cheap difficulty. And before you say "You're just bad at the game", I have beaten Black, 2 and original three all on Master Ninja (ultimate ninja for 3 with dlc). More importantly I've beaten this game on all difficulties and yes, it's got some pretty cheap design. To me, this is actually less enjoyable than the vanilla version. Why? Because while 3 was dumbed down, incredibly boring and easy, this is the same game, with more weapons and ninpo that aren't very useful. The major difference here though,is that it's still very boring, but it's so incredibly frustrating for wrong reasons. The actual combat itself is the same, sure there are new weapons and ninpo but that's really it. From my experience, all they did was change the enemies so that the do way more damage and block most of your attacks unless you do something very specific to break their block. Same thing for the Reagent of the Mask. Just like in 3, he's really annoying. If you like Ninja Gaiden for it's actual challenge, don't buy this.

Dynasty Warriors 810

Dynasty Warriors 8 is in my opinion, the best in its series. To be honest, DW8 is basically DW7 but with many tweaks that make to game play much more addicting, fast-paced and fluid than its predecessors. The controls this time around are much smoother and one change witch at first seems trivial, but ends up being your best friend, is the ability to call and mount your horse by holding down RT on the controller. The graphics aren't very improved especially for this version on the Xbox 360. Textures range from generally good to downright laughable in some parts. Of course the PS3 version looks way better though. After the recent patch, the game suffers from very little slowdown and mostly plays smoothly except in some places. Even though it's inferior to the PS3 version, it's still an excellent action game and my favourite DW yet.
