Senua's Saga: Hellblade II5

When a game tries this hard to be a movie, just make a movie. I expected way more from a 1st Party backed studio with 4 times the devs than the first game. I feel like the game was designed to be played best on the cloud with how basic the "gameplay" is.

I consider myself more of a casual shooter gamer but I must admit that Siege is the best fun I have had in a pvp team shooter. The choice of operator and how to attack each round or how to defend each round is great and Ubisoft has done a great job to keep the game updated over the years.

I don't know if this was just bad timing or just bad. But as someone who played at release and again recently to see how much it has changed I feel like this was just not the right way to do this game. Sad to see.

I really did not know what to expect when going into this game. I began playing off of a friend recommendation and I must admit it was enjoyable for what it is. The combat allows for choice of how to play and the boss fights are "challenging". The story wasn't too bad either.

From the second you get into this game it gives you the feeling that it was made by devs that "get it" that understand what gamers ENJOY doing in games. The worldwide group progression system is cool too. Working together to spread Democracy is a nice touch. The shooting is solid and the game can be relaxing or intense depending on what difficulty you select. Thank you for reading.

I really wanted to love this game. But after about an hour I didn't feel as much love for it as I anticipated. I enjoy parts of this game but it fell short in others. Great idea with the climbing but some of it felt a bit janky.
I enjoyed the atmosphere and "story".

I love so much about this game. It has such an amazing atmosphere, art direction and setting. I spent about 28 hours playing through the whole game to roll credits and wow, the boss designs are great in some ways but the snapping to my location and delay attacks are real problems imo.
The game doesn't make me feel like I am "improving" when I kill a boss. Moreso just better at killing that specific boss. Practically forcing all players to parry throughout the game mean that Strength builds with better guard regain was "Smarter" I guess. But I did play as a Dex build anyway. I absolutely love the weapon system with the handles attaching to any head. It allowed for so much choice.
These drawbacks do stop this game from being a 9 or 10. But the future is bright for this game studio! This is the best soulslike I have played and I am keen for their next game. Thank you for reading. Enjoy Gaming.

Fromsoftware delivers again. The movement is fluid and enjoyable. The enemies are tough but can be approached in multiple ways depending on your style of play. I didn't have high hopes for me enjoying this a lot as I do not usually enjoy mech games but AC6 nailed it and has me hooked.

This game is great at first. Fun to explore and level up. Even more fun when crushing enemies with others/friends. But there are so many issues that become obvious the more you play and most tasks end up feeling less fun or like "work" and it just stops being enjoyable for me. I also tried the first season too and it didn't really change much. I expect so much more from Blizzard.

This game feels stuck in the 2010s. I enjoy a lot of parts of this game but they are outweighed by frustrating things. I was hoping for Skyrim in space, because I love Skyrim. But it is more of a Fallout in space and I do not like fallout at all. The gunplay does not feel great at all to me. Freedom to explore is good though. Weird choices with the menu too. I missed out on the Collectors Edition so 0/10. But the developers said no mtx so 20/10. So that averages out to 10/10. The game is not for everyone so please do not buy it if you will complain the combat is "slow" or there are "too many cutscenes/dialogue". The game allows you to do or play practically however you want and approach things in various ways with combat or game choices. Its amazing. Thank you for reading. Enjoy Gaming.

What a game. What an experience. Blizzard knows how to make a game fun. Diablo 3 was an absolute blast start to finish. Then again and again. Choice of how to play: Hardcore, seasonal, or normal. Reviewed on PS5 after platinuming the game. I am not a fan of the rigid feeling combat or the story. I don't like that two "bosses" are practically cut and pasted 8 times with slight variations. But its a visually stunning game with practically zero bugs. Wish there was more choice of how to play. But it is clearly a story driven game and gameplay is secondary to that experience. Final Fantasy XIV Online: A Realm Reborn9
Jun 2, 2023
Reviewing after 500 hours over 8 years from the perspective of a casual player who has played 1k hours of Wow (also casually). This game is amazing fun as a huge fan of games where players need to socialise and or cooperate to overcome challenges. The community is mostly quite positive and fun to interact with. There is so much freedom of how you want to play. And this isn't just in combat style either. You could just spend hours playing with friends at the in-game casino. Huge amount of hard content for those who love punishing themselves and truly working well as a team. Huge story to chew through too. If you love Final Fantasy and MMOs then I recommend giving this a try! Played on PS4, PS5 and PC. Thank you for reading. Enjoy Gaming.

I play mostly on PC and PS5 but have this installed on my Switch for playing with my kids. It runs well! Just, obviously, at much lower resolution. The only way to pull a negative from this game is to say its just not your cup of tea. Skill matters, monetisation is light and the fun component is high. Even if your skill is low, and trust me, mine is low, you can have a blast if you love what its doing. It nails the sound, the feeling and the replay-ability. Thank you for reading. Enjoy Gaming.

Reviewing as a couple playing together on PS5 in couch co-op. Just having a good couch co-op mode gives massive points from me alone. But being this polished (at launch as we played day 1) and this fun was amazing to see. Especially when EA is the publisher... Lets not go there. As a long term couple, with 3 kids, the themes in the story were interesting and the gameplay forcing us to work together was "interesting" at times when either of us may have been frustrated by something (not pointing any fingers...). I definitely recommend this for people who love co-op and fun, not to difficult gameplay with friends. Thank you for reading. Enjoy Gaming.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor8
May 19, 2023
Building on everything I liked from Fallen Order, jedi Survivor has been an enjoyable experience for a good 30-40 hours in the Platinumed playthrough. Good amount of freedom of playstyle and the story was not predictable (for me anyway). Still do not enjoy the "snapping" bossfights (where they turn to you "unrealistically") but the combat overall felt really fun. Wishing the game ran a lot better, definitely would be a 9 from me if they had it running and looking a lot better. But that did not hold back my enjoyment. Some great easter eggs for myself as a Star Wars fans. Definitely recommend for enjoyers of Fallen Order or Star Wars fans in general who enjoy adventure games. Does not remind me of a "souls game" at all, however this has no bearing on my score, I did not play it for it to be "souls-like". Thank you for reading. Enjoy Gaming.

I have played Forza Horizon games from the start and LOVED the first and second ones. I didn't play 3 or 4 much but really wanted to get back into the series with 5. Its visually amazing but very casual and does not feel like its about the racing anymore and its just more about the community. Great fun but I definitely laugh at people who call this a "sim racer" somehow. Its an action adventure game and that is fine with me. Lots of dumb fun if you want to spend time doing random "dumb stuff". Thank you for reading. Enjoy Gaming.

Reviewing from the perspective of someone using a Thrustmaster T248 Wheel and AT RELEASE. I played 46 online races and entered the first few championship races (winning 2). What I like is the visuals and casual handling of the game. It was very nice to race and do the campaign events and I really loved the licence tests! Great fun and challenge. I hated the fact that the game really felt like a f2p game with the purchasing of credits for cars. This led me to be frustrated really. Online races paying out next to no credits felt stupid. Another issue was the penalty system online is stupid. It allows people to intentionally knock a racer off the track and only lose a few seconds. Hopefully this has improved since. Thank you for reading. Enjoy Gaming.

This is one of my top 5 favourite games of all time currently. It has such a large amount of options for builds. The boss fights are great and enjoyable when you finally overcome them. I was excited to see how amazing they could do a game like this with Microsofts backing. Was pretty disappointed when it felt like an indie game. Thats said I did enjoy the story. Something that I do not usually care for in a game. So I will give it that for sure. Wish there was a "speed up" button for when you are replaying through to get the rest of the achievements. Ever since year 8 and being forced to read Harry Potter 1 and watch the first movie for english class I have been a fan of the series. I had (very) low hopes for this game all the way up until I played it for myself. They managed to nail the feel and atmosphere of the world in this game. Not only that, they have made it so enjoyable to play that even non-harry potter fans have come to try and love it too. Great to see a Triple A game do well, especially at release and not "fix it months later". It caters a lot to a casual audience and that is fine with me. More people being able to pick up and play this is great in my opinion. Thank you for reading. Enjoy Gaming.

Being releatively new to sim racing I can say I do not have the best opinion compared to pros but after 100 hours in iRacing I can say the game is amazing at what it does. I am a fan of Age of Empires and a smaller fan of Minecraft so I like the idea of this game and I suspect this will be a big hit long term for fans of these two franchises but the game feels like it was rushed, or undercooked. It needs more content for me to give it a better rating. Felt repetitive fast and I was missing features that I feel should have been there day one. (ie health bars on/for buildings at least). At least they have a PVP option. Thank you for reading. Enjoy Gaming.

Well, well, well. What do we have here? A Triple Ayyyy experience from a console platform, first party. Ready to rock-and-or-roll, I was. Ready to fix up these Vamps (short for "Vampires") with a good elbow and wooden stake. But I was met with an unoptimised, bland, unfun, boring at time, play experience that only held me for 3 hours because I was co-oping with a friend. I would love to have seen this game release in a better state and I may try it later after a few patches/updates as the game seems very barebones thus far. But there are so many other games to play I cannot say that I will return. Thank you for reading. Enjoy Gaming.
