Exodus: Gods and Kings8
Feb 8, 2015
Ambitious and epic, Exodus: Gods and Kings has an amazing cast and charming and realistic performances from Bale and Edgerton. It's a delightful welcome surprise from Ridley Scott. It's a visual masterpiece. Stunning and shot beautifully from magnificent landscapes and architectures to epic, thrilling and brutal action scenes to enormous tidal waves and horrific storms. It doesn't fail to disappoint as it concludes with a quality, horrific and awesome third act. It boasts Scott's skill for creating massive and expensive, enjoyable epics like this! It's definitely a great theatre experience and I highly recommend giving this movie a try, even if some believe it's far too long but the movie picks up pace as it goes along. 8/10!

Much anticipated, it could have been an excellent ensemble but just pays off just average and forgettable. It has a few good laughs and nice chemistry.

Star Trek: The Motion Picture5

It doesn't capture all of what made the original series so brilliant. Many might say it's a long screensaver. I think it tried to be 2001: A Space Odyssey, epic and almost feels like a Disney world ride. That said it does have some remarkable stunning visuals, some tension, good soundtrack and SFX and decent enough story. Anyway it's still Star Trek, so no hate.

The Wolf of Wall Street8

Outrageous and controversial, clever and filthy, but how so funny and charming. Very entertaining three hours, with terrific performances from the cast. DiCaprio has really proved himself recently as a likable actor and great leading man, as he fits into this real life character of Jordan Belfort perfectly. I've never enjoyed watching him as much as here. This film is overloaded with nudity and drugs so be aware. Aside from that, this movie is crazy, with great characters and is a good time.

12 Years a Slave9

Very powerful and it definitely deserves all the praise and awards. A truly real, well crafted, extraordinary piece of cinema, though it may be a hard watch with the racial themes. I love how director Steve Mcqueen can capture a very lengthy shot and make it so powerful and grand in his movies. This movie is epic and well acted.

The Amazing Spider-Man 29

Web slinging spectacular fun! I love this movie! Overwhelming exiting climax! Top notch adrenaline sparkling fun! Well crafted story and an anticipated build up to lead into the next installment. Great characters and acting. This new take on Spider-man is something new and exiting to see what is coming next! It is very creative and fun. Electro, whenever he sparked and caused destruction, it got me pumped just like the swinging scenes and the heroic score and can't forget about the electro dub step. There are many brilliant scenes, normally involving Harry and Peter, Peter and Gwen or Electro/Max. I was not disappointed and can't wait for The Amazing Spiderman 3!

Pain & Gain9

Surprisingly really enjoyed this and laughed along with the characters all the way. Great cast! It's Michael Bay, so my expectations were low to average, but I thought this was terrific and criminally fun. Mark Wahlberg and the Rock have always been those actors that you just like the minute they appear on screen!

Surprisingly found this a cool movie and fun time at the cinema. A much need reboot, though it doesn't add too the original too much, it dwells deeper into the concept and emotional affect of what it means to put a man inside a machine. Great action and pacing!

Apocalypse Now10

A Phenomenal triumph! Haunting, powerful and an outstanding piece of cinema. A very dark and psychological war film, with a great, powerful and memorable performance from Marlon Brando, as well as the rest of the cast who are all terrific. The action, destruction and every little detail is tremendously captured on camera. Rarely in movies can the film makers make such tension between characters, using superb lighting and soundtrack. The air assault on the village never gets old, love it! Classic masterpiece!

The Graduate7
Apr 3, 2014
Funny and a charming performance from Dustin Hoffman who excellently plays college graduate Ben Braddock who awkwardly goes about doing things and not sure about his future who is seduced by his parent's friends wife, Mrs Robinson. A definitive movie of it's time, I believe it and the soundtrack portray loneliness and uncertainty. The ending is so ridiculous and a let down but the rest is great entertainment. Nice camera work and editing. Good watch!

2001: A Space Odyssey6

A well crafted piece of art. Incredibly unusual last act! From "Open the pod bay doors, HAL" unleash the thrills and mystery of an influential, mind blowing adventure unlike any other, from prehistoric ape-ancestry into uncharted realms of space. Personally, I loved the middle, HAL was terrifying and unpredictable villain. Not everyones type of movie. The film ends leaving more questions than answers.

Wow, what a watch! You will root for the villain, Pacino in a very strong, threatening and cool performance. I wish this movie was longer! I was so attached to Pacino's character words can't explain it, purely I loved him. It's a great watch but nothing I'd rush to watch again sadly though every scene is written with great dialogue and performances and entertained the entire way! Be aware this isn't a movie for everyone. The violence, foul language and themes is taken to the extreme. This movie is really a fantastic journey, from a man who gains money and then power in the crime. Absolutely CLASSIC and immense stuff.

This movie feels refined and unique. It still feels that way today, it's definitely stylish and puts new cards on the table. It's a wonderful experience and has so many cool moments and the movie is just magnificent in every way. Pierce Brosnan shows he may be the most fun Bond and combines everything of what we loved with previous Bonds and puts them onto his with something new on the table as well. Bond is put up against few of the best villains in the series and up with some of the best action scenes in the series too. Such a great movie and easily one of the best!

Tomorrow Never Dies6

It's such a fun movie! So much great action and a bike and car chase! Pure Bondism. Watch this and feel the same thrills that went through my body when I watched this. The plot is over the top, but it's a Bond movie and damn good one.

The World Is Not Enough5
Jul 10, 2013
It's a very average Bond movie with quite a lot of wasted potential, but yet I still have so much fun with this. I think there's a great relationship between Bond and the female villain. Nice sub-plot with M and I have to give credit to the boat chase in the pre-credits sequence. Though Denise Richards is one of the worst Bond girls, but who cares, it was a hell of alot of fun. Nuff said!

Die Another Day3
Jul 10, 2013
Just pure rubbish. The director loves to give us over the top set pieces, action and characters, dodgy CGI and the story is forgotten and action becomes way too over the top for a Bond movie. It feels like a video game or over produced action movie. There's too much of what we don't want in a Bond movie. Entertaining but I really do and have always never had anything great to say except for Brosnan gives another grand performance and the regulars.

Quantum of Solace4
Jul 10, 2013
It's not a perfect follow up the phenomenon and just on the average mark. The story is wasted just as the dull villain who may look creepy, does nothing memorable. Other supporting cast are either wasted or good. What this film does deliver is very exciting and outstanding action scenes, with some of the best of the series and touching moments. I still disagree with the fast cut editing like a Bourne movie.

Casino Royale8
Jul 10, 2013
An outstanding piece of cinema and probably the best Bond movie. Daniel Craig gives us a more realistic, darker edge, vulnerable Bond and proves himself worthy of the role and will obviously be considered one of the best along with Sean Connery. The film delivers everything you want in a movie, a true spy story with twists and suspense, great action in between and plenty of character development including a group of sinister villains. It delivers what we want in a Bond film as well. It does just about everything right. I have no complaints.

X-Men: The Last Stand5
Jul 9, 2013
The film is a decent follow up, but the plot, characters, action and climax are wasted leading to a forgettable movie even the few good scenes aren't special.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine4
Jul 9, 2013
It's a fun action movie but is too light hearted than the previous movies with a simple storyline and boring characters and over the top action scenes. The best part of the movie is that Wolverine has his own movie at last killing bad dudes.

Looper10

A great time travel movie with I think a bit of revenge flick thrown in there. The characters chemistry are perfect between the hero, the mother and the destined child and Bruce Willis is a stone cold killer, which you dislike his character from the start. It's a believable realistic future setting in which your engrossed into these people that when they get emotional or are put in a life or death situation you feel the moment so the ending was unexpected and sad, but understood the decision made with a meaningful action.

Oblivion6
Jul 6, 2013
It has a cool premise and stunning FX in the action scenes, but the film feels too long and lost interest nearer to the end. Though it is nothing of a masterpiece it has some great action and a nice one or two plot twists which got me hooked for a short time. The ending was a nice touch as well, but overall the film dragged for me.

The Dark Knight Rises8
Jul 5, 2013
A 2hr 30min movie and one hell of a movie! It's an amazing and epic last in a trilogy. Whilst I don't think it can ever top the The Dark Knight, it offers an epic, darker edge and emotional story. It shows the rise and fall of Bruce Wayne, once has met his match physically. Nolan makes more epic scale action scenes. His characters are useful and aid Gotham in Batman's absence as Bane who has a deadly presence on screen has Gotham rigged with a nuke. The climax isn't exciting though and pretty dull, though the ending is touching and epic. I like how they tried to introduce a Robin character and acknowledged that the batman could be anyone with the right courage. I think for a last in the series, it does what it should do and wrap everything up into a tie, but there still something holding it back from me but I don't know what.

Schindler's List7
Jul 4, 2013
It's more than a film. It's an unforgettable, stylistic experience. The film is 3 hours long and you have to take in superb acting, imagery and storytelling, capturing the emotional and realism of the Holocaust. I realized I had watched a masterpiece once it had finished.
