Fire Emblem Warriors8

A very welcome addition to the warriors series. The game plays very well with a smooth and responsive control system. It is lovely to see bigger versions of the characters I have loved in their respective 3ds games over the years. The world of FE has been added very well to the warriors system and feels instantly familiar. All of the bonds, convoy, pair up, camp etc. It almost let's you feel like you have just dropped into their world and are having those battles out in real time rather than turn based. If you enjoy either FE or the Warriors series I would recommend this title. I also think it would be a good entry point to people unfamiliar with the genre.

I was unsure what to expect with this title as the game play and trailers shown were a little confusing. I honestly held the belief that Persona 4 was my favourite Atlus MegaTen game but I have been converted. This game has all of the best bits from P3 & P4, skill boosting from SMTIV and the introduction of a new mechanism during battle. I cannot get enough of this game, thee dungeon exploring is spot on and the difficulty curve is about right too. If you have enjoyed P3/P4/SMT3/SMT4 then it's a safe bet you will enjoy this. It is a much cuter affair on the surface but don't let that put you off, this game has plenty of hooks and will have you smiling and laughing lots. I really couldn't wait for P5 next year but this has filled the gap and I'm not so bothered now. Do yourself a favour and jump in for a great dungeon exploring JRPG that ticks so many boxes.

After months of waiting it is finally here and it does not disappoint at all. I adore the first Xenoblade and was expecting a second slice but this has so far shown that they could better their previous game. Many people are taking pops at the game for various reasons (draw distance for exanple) but this really does not change the enjoyment to be had here. Missions galore, whether they be story line or secondary are everywhere. The world you get to explore is truly beautiful and many are saying it's not as good looking as expected but these people are obviously comparing the Wii U to the PS4/Pc standard. The Wii U is not as powerful as these but by Christ this game gives it an amazing show. This is quite simply a wonderful slice of JRPG and to anyone who is looking for a very good game to totally loose yourself in, this could be it. Outstanding 10/10

So far I have read many reviews which are complaining/moaning that the games graphics are alot worse than the original/bad textures/character models etc. There is something these people need to bear in mind.....this is a handheld game not a home console game. You cannot fit the full detail of the original into something like this. The game is beautiful by 3DS standards and a very big game too (3.6GB) I never got the chance to play the original but have been hearing lots about it and I can honestly say it is exceeding my expectations and I have been nothing but impressed. The game plays very well on the new 3DS, the controls work very well and the games runs smooth as can be. The level of detail in the environments is impressive but I would suggest it's best played on the Xl as I don't know if it would look a little cluttered on the smaller system. There is one part of this game which outright deserves a 10 out of 10 and that is the soundtrack, one of the finest I have heard on a game in quite a while. Overall this is a top notch rpg with a wealth of options, story, side quests and fun to keep you very well entertained. The voice acting is fun and made me laugh many times at the banter between characters. Definitely worth a purchase if you are an rpg fan, ignore the "bad graphics" reviews and let yourself in for a fun romp!

This is without doubt one of the shining moments for the 3DS. This game is very well presented and crafted by a team who really do know what they are doing. Anyone familiar with the Persona games will be right at home here as a number of the spells and Demons are found here. SMT4 has a wonderful level of detail and presentation. I have seen a number of professional reviews state that the game suffers from shoddy characters and writing but I am just over 20 hours in at the time of writing this and I am loving the story and diverse mix if characters, yes some of them are the stereotypical characters you expect in this kind of RPG but that really is not a bad thing. The difficulty curve in this game is consistently steady and providing you save frequently you should have no problems, just allow a little extra "grinding" from time to time rather than heading from quest to quest. Overall, I can't fault this game. It's worth owning a 3DS for this and a couple of other titles as you will get a large amount of play time from this title.

I saw the trailer for this game on the 3DS eshop and decided "what have I got to loose, it's only £1.99. It's one of the most fun little games I have played, yes you will complete it very very quickly but hey, it's two quid well spent. Brilliant game mechanics, wonderful graphic style (good use of 3D) and a perfectly catchy soundtrack make this a great game to jump into especially when you haven't got time to give an hour or so to a more involving game. Stop reading and go buy it, you won't be disappointed..... I'm off now to play Gunman Clive 2 :D
