Hatred3
Jun 3, 2015
To sum up Hatred in one word it would be, disappointing... Duke Nukem Forever levels of disappointment, the blood is non existent, the violence is T level rating at best, the language is shockingly low. This feels like it was watered down five times over before release. Besides the shockingly low levels of blood and language the camera angles leave the player blinded with no direction leaving you to get lost several times per level. The fact that there is no color adds to the confusion of direction and at times gives you a headache. The only way to find your way is the radar, without it, this would be unplayable. I've said it before and I'll say it again, this type of set up must be in Third or First Person, top downs are for RTS. The hit detection is really bad, part of that is the set up makes the player forget about the cross-hair and it ends up blending in with the screen, another reason why a non color game is not a good idea. Sure it adds atmosphere, but this is not a game for atmosphere nor should it be. The executions are not as violent as shown in the trailers. We've seen people being stabbed and shot before, give us something new, something different, something that will make us go "OH GOD WHAT THE F%#*?" The difficulty pushed me to my breaking point. Swarms of Police, SWAT, and Military bombard you with fire in all directions making escape impossible. To make matters worse, you only have a limited number of respawns before you must restart the entire level. Level 5 is what broke me, for almost 90 minutes of continues attempt to complete this level I am done, I can take no more of the swarms of unfair Military and Swat that fill you with holes before you can even attempt to fire. For a debut release Hatred is below sub-par. For almost seven months I followed the progression of this and it lead up to a product that causes more stresses than enjoyment. I have faith that D.C. will fix a lot, if not all, of these problems as they are a company that listens to their players, until then take a peek at playthroughs or even try it at a friends house but for now stay away from this little bundle of disappointment. Pros: + Optional side missions that grant an extra respawn on completion + Dark villain voice action is spot on + Concept + Soundtrack + Great destructive system to buildings Cons: - No color makes cross-hairs blend in (even when changing to a bright color) - Confusing camera and almost no visibility for player - T rated levels of blood and below par M rated levels of language - Executions are not brutal - Difficulty even on Easy is stupid hard on some levels

Lucius II2
Feb 15, 2015
What pisses me off the most about Lucius 2 is that as it stands is almost the opposite of what was advertised. I don't think that only one or two ways to kill someone, or sometimes only one way qualifies as freedom to kill how you want. While the graphics have been upgraded, almost everything else has taken a huge step back. The powers are worthless, the inventory is too large and the audio issues are frustrating. Despite it's problems there is still some entertainment in the game, and it will last you four levels which is almost half of the game. The developers seemed to of just stopped caring at the start of part two as it is the most bugged, glitched and limited in freedom for the game. The final level is the nail in the coffin as it is clearly in a pre-beta state. You could make a game yourself about everything that is wrong with Lucius 2.

Ostrich Island6
Jan 14, 2015
I would be lying to you if I said I didn't enjoy this game but the biggest sin Ostrich Island commits is that it is too short. Even for $7.99 you can clear it 100% is under 5 hours, which is a shame because the atmosphere begs to be explored and expanded. For what it is it's just too short **** to be ranked higher but certainly not a bad one. Casual gamers, children and those of us that just want to explore the small divided up islands will not be disappointed but I would recommend viewing some gameplay videos first.

Alien: Isolation1
Oct 10, 2014
Isolation, graphically impressive and that is it. You will run down empty corridors, sometimes with a few enemies, sometimes with nothing, collecting crafting items for new gadgets to fend off enemies, yet these gadgets do not need to be crafted as the A.I. is bad. That "unpredictable" Alien A.I.? It's very predictable, I played on Hard and stood right in front of it, it didn't register, in fact the only time it did register is when it found another A.I. or I had to shoot it. The level designs are just loops of circles that are confusing, to make it worse you have the most obscure way point system there is. Speaking of systems the save system is something that died back in the late 90's. You must manually save (no problem there,) at checkpoints (problem there.) There are 18 chapters, each chapter takes over an hour to complete, that is over double the length then the average game, something people would not speak out about, but when you get this linear and this boring there's a limit. The story can be covered in one sentence and the play time is horrendous, 12 - 20+ hours of running down the same hallway to open doors. By hour 6 I was so bored I was done, I could not take a single second more. There is nothing to drive the player forwards. What's the point of going to open a door that you know is not only locked, but you'll have to turn on the power and restart the terminal as well. I think I know why this rated so high, and that's because Metacritic DELETES REVIEWS! Yes this is the SECOND time I've had to rewrite a review because of silencing, here's hoping they will leave this one up because God forbid someone doesn't like a game.

Blackbay Asylum2
Aug 6, 2014
What starts out as an interesting and humorous adventure quickly becomes a confusing and tedious nightmare. The first red flag was the no options, only screen size. The second red flag was seeing only 10 levels. I must admit I was enjoying myself until level 6. This is where the game just ends its charm and decides to go on a terrible back and forth confusing puzzle game. The story is predictable once level 5 comes around, there are only 2 fights in the entire game and the levels are small, very small. While early levels focus on details later levels are almost empty. It starts out as a black comedy adventure but as stated before it just quits itself half way and just becomes an awful puzzle game. Length wise you are done in less then 4 hours, and it should not even take you that because the clues in the game are so obscure it is impossible to play without a walkthrough. It all comes down to an abysmal ending that leaves more questions then answers. For the $20 price tag I would highly recommend, no, BEG you to wait for a 85% - 90% off sale.

Thief6
Aug 4, 2014
It's how a stand alone rebooting should be done but as a modern stealth game it is terribly linear. For those wanting to look for the old Thief universe you are in for a shocking disappointment. There are no Keepers, Pagans, Hammerites, Undead, or Creatures. All there all to fight are the guards and the light. On the flip side of the coin, it nails the lifting of goods and pickpocketing. It grants a very satisfying feeling when picking a place clean. The upgrades are actually helpful and the open end gameplay leaves the sadly small city to be picked dry and ability to replay missions to acquire loot that couldn't be obtained before after buying upgrades. The setting takes place as in a new world, Dark Project, Metal Age and Deadly Shadows never happened. This is a fresh start. As far as the story goes, don't even try to understand it and ignore the ending, easily the dumbest and confusing stories and lamest ending **** I've seen in 2014. Once that is out of the way, the fun can begin of looting. It's a semi-sandbox that allows you to explore and take what you want. The hideout, while a new feature is not needed. There is not really anything to do here except look at the unique loot that you have acquired. The levels are designed well and the difficulty factor can be customized. One of the biggest down falls is the almost 1:1 ratio to Dishonored. The text, menu, challenges and some of the story is an exact copy, I'm surprised lawsuits were not filed. There are options to take on jobs from your fence and only two clients. The client missions are fun but far too short and there's only two people. There are a lot more fence jobs but they too are far too short. It's bland and rough around the edges but it gets the looting factor down. If there is a second it needs a lot of work such as more enemies, missions and much more jobs along with a customizable hideout. Old thieves might want to leave this on the shelf but it does a fair job for a new opening.

Wolfenstein: The New Order4
May 21, 2014
We were promised 20 hours of play to complete, it only takes 9. We were promised high resolution textures, they are below sub-par. We were promised an epic tale, we get an average bland story. This makes the previous installment of the series look like platinum. Gone are the upgrades, gone is the sandbox free roaming. The gun play is boring and uninspiring and the weapons try way too hard to copy from F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin and F.E.A.R. 3. Many gameplay elements are almost a 1:1 copy from F.E.A.R. 3 (mainly the mech ride.) The enemies are not stylish in a **** way, more like the same regularly armored steel soldier we've seen in post-apocalyptic games. The levels are painfully small and offer no exploration. The pace is like a snail, only the snail is dead and being dragged by a string. Not worth a $25 price never mind a $60 one. Also warning for German, Swiss and Austrian users, your governments have blocked the game in your region because of the use of Swastikas.

Rambo: The Video Game5
Feb 22, 2014
Nowhere near as bad or abysmal as people are making it out to be, but by all means it's not that good either. It's a standard arcade rail-shooter, something I don't mind seeing on the market every now and then. I am not a Rambo fan by any means, but after playing a few levels I was hooked onto the rail-shooting action. It's a small game, under 4 hours, a little longer if you play on Green Barrett difficulty (because you'll die a few times.) The graphics are just very standard, nothing pretty or special just something to tell you "hey, I'm a tree" or "No, I'm a car." Now there are levels where the lighting, shades and graphics are booming. Level 3 is a perfect example of this. The lights and rain decals are spot on. Voice acting is not there because every word is from the film reels, they've been edited just a tad to make the voice louder and background softer. Something I and a lot of people are not happy about, but it works. Levels range from small to medium. The major complaint is the comparison to Rambo. The hair is overdone and the face is too long. The other NPCs are just alright. It works well for a quick time killer to play once in awhile or when you just go "You know, I need to shoot ****." There's upgrades for skills and weapon unlock challenges. Not really any replay value but if you need a fix for a rail-shooter arcade it'll do it. The price however is too much, wait until it falls to $15 or $10, better if it goes to $5. Hyper die-hard Rambo fans might get it to pass but if you want a dumb-fun arcade old fashion rail-shooter that will work too.

Dementium II0

I remember seeing this for the Nintendo DS, but I never got a change to pick it up. When I saw it was on the PC I was happy and ready to see what horrors and terror awaited me. The term "disappointment" is a horrible understatement. I didn't expect much graphic wise since it is a port but the graphics did amaze me for a little bit then they just got bland and repetitive. The gameplay is perfect for the Nintendo DS but abysmal for the PC and it's not just the gameplay, it's everything. The sounds repeat for each monster type, the combat music is the exact same loop and the ambiance music is the same. There is no story at all, zero, zip, none. Even after finding and reading all notes to pick up, it still does not explain anything. I actually had to search the internet for an explanation. There's more story on the description page then the actual game. There is no backstory or any introduction to characters. You can pick up notes and things but even they do not offer any kind of story, just hints on your current situation. The monsters are the same warped grotesque things we have seen in the entire Silent Hill franchise and the terror effect no longer exists. Enemies act and look the same to their type. Again there is no explanation for these monsters and why they exist. The locations are bland and dull to look at followed by emptiness and long areas that you must constantly run back and forth to beat one puzzle. The walking speed is the speed you should be when crouched or laying down in other games and the run speed is the walking speed. You must hold down the run button the entire time you play but it's okay you have infinite stamina. You can pick up health pills, medkits, adrenaline shots and poison resistant bottles but I never once used the shots, bottles or medkits and only a couple times used health pills. You can also get a flashlight that flickers on and off constantly, but when it's on a weapon, it stays on. The weapons are terrible. There's no "feel" to them, the recoil is just an animation and does not effect bullet path at all and the muzzle flashes are an entire white screen that blinds the player. Almost all weapons are almost completely silent when fired, the reloading sounds are louder. When you jump you don't grunt or huff, you scream like you just lost a limb. It baffles me how they can slap High Definition on this when all that was done was barely touching the graphics and adding cutscenes. With in three minutes you can predict when monsters will apear and how the game is going to go pace wise and gameplay wise. The only thing that kept me playing and I had to force myself to do that was the achievements. Yet those are just given to the player. No puzzles to solve for any of them. I can not find one fair thing let alone good thing about this. I would not even look at it for a free to play game. You can find more enjoyment and more story in modifications for games then this. The lesson here? What happens on the DS, should stay on the DS.

7 Days to Die4
Dec 15, 2013
The first thing that is going to drive people away from the game is the price. $35 for an Alpha, yet people seem to think that is all it is, is just an Alpha and having to pay again for the final product. Yes it is an Alpha and a very early one too. It's current stages are Alpha 5 and the game consists of Minecraft basics. Collect, build, run, build, die, restart, die. The landscape map is different and divided into areas, from the green forest to the ugly blown out nuclear wastes. The zombies are a very aggravating set up. They are very slow in the day, but at night they become the dumb super zombie that runs and destroys. It's a game that each update takes one step forward but three steps back. Now we have flying zombies, dogs, giant bees, fat zombies that have been ripped off time and time again since the Killing Floor mod that vomit. I would recommend not touching this with a 10 foot pole but I would however recommend following its status and looking at gameplay videos.

Takes boring to a whole new level. There is no gameplay, you walk and sometimes turn a valve. You almost never encounter enemies. You can complete it in under 3 hours. You must sprint everywhere because you walk so slow. There is a very liner confusing story that you don't care about. The pace is the slowest I've ever encountered. This is literately a walking simulator. Keep your money (and yourself) as far away from this as possible.

Payday 25
Aug 16, 2013
*NOTE: THIS REVIEW IS FOR RELEASE 1.0.0* After months of playing the first one dry I was more then ready for the second. There are many many more missions and tons of upgrades and weapons. You get to assign skills. However, that's all it has going for it. The severe disappointment is the layout for weapons, upgrades and skills. It is terrible. Each time you level up you get 1 skill point, for ever 10 levels you get an extra 2. However it costs skill points AND money to upgrade and the price is absurd. Money is nothing like the first. You get two different accounts one goes into an Offshore account and the other is money to spend, on average for every $100,000 you get only $6,000 you get to spend depending on the difficulty. The inventory is just as bad. If you unlock an upgrade and have it equipped to a weapon, now you want to remove that upgrade then add it again, you have to PAY AGAIN for it. WHY!? If it's in your inventory why pay for something you already have!? Worse yet you cannot sell spare upgrades! Different armor is new you have a vest that can take 2 hits before your health starts dropping. The better the vest the more hits. While armor does regenerate after time it is worthless on harder difficulties. Flack Jackets which can take 5 hits can only take one on VERY HARD, or OVERKILL, it can only take 3 on HARD and all 5 on NORMAL. Difficulties depend on how much money and experience you get. The more experience, the more you can level up. Some missions you get a jackpot (again difficulty and conditions) with over $200,000 spending money and 10,000 experience. Most missions you average 900 Experience and $4,000 spending money. 85% of the voice acting has been recycled from the first. The only new lines are from Bain and a few from the characters. Now the Co-Op, it is the definition of unstable. 75%-85% of the time you cannot connect to a game, will be dropped from a game, or loose connection to two or more players which shuts the match down. Safe house. What is the point of this? It does nothing. Payday 2 (as of v.1) is addicting but more aggravating then fun, I hope many many patches fix these issues.

Papers, Please6
Aug 9, 2013
Refreshing and unique but plagued by some major errors. It's a simple game, deny or allow entry to your country and look for things that do not match up on documents. However as the game progresses it gets more difficult such as more documents, height, weight, etc. this would be okay but there are two huge problems that appear. One your desk will be so crowded you will loose papers and the time limit does not allow the required time to look everything over so after day 10 you are left guessing and taking shots in the dark. It also becomes boring quite fast as you are doing the same thing over and over. It has an art effect to it and it is a unique game, but it's not $10 unique.

ShellShock 2: Blood Trails7
Jun 26, 2013
In retrospect, I can see why critics gave this such a low score, but I can also see why players liked it. This is easily one of the most disturbing games I've ever played. From atmosphere to gore. It is very dark, and I'm not talking about the lighting. The story is very easy to follow and it does not tie in with the first game (which I have not played) so it could of been a stand alone. The graphics for it's time were huge and beautiful and still kind of are, but you can tell in some areas it's a little dated. The gameplay is straight forward linear, in very short levels which is a shame because the levels are so nicely detailed. There is a small variety of weapons to pick from and surprisingly they all have different effects on enemies. For example a headshot with the Colt .45 (at least, I'm assuming that's what it is) could put an enemy down where a headshot with the magnum in the right place might take off a chunk of the face or the whole head from the jaw up. You can also take off arms if shots are placed just right. The game itself is sadly too short, no more then five hours in length. There are no extras to unlock or secrets to find. The biggest slap in the face was probably no multiplayer. Voice acting is almost a dead on perfect which is very rare in games. The bad parts besides the levels and such would also be the mouse sensitivity. It's default state is worthless and I recommend you max it out, you will still turn slow however but it is much better then before. The F.O.V. is very bad, it looks like it's in the 55 to 65 range, it cannot be changed. 90 to 95 is where most people like it because now you can see almost all you need to. Ironsights on weapons. Yes, this is one of the very few games where it is easier to use the crosshair (which can be turned off) then to line up a shot. Why? Well it's easy, the sights are broken and throw your shot off. You've spent all of your shots just to get one or two hits in, the only sights that seem to work are on the fixed machine guns. You will be facing off against infected American, Vietcong forces and Vietnam civilians. (Note that this is one of the almost non-existent games that to kill and infected you MUST get a dead on head shot. Or use a grenade.) Also non infected Vietcong forces. There are too many quick time scenes but you do have a choice at the end of each one: A Shoot B Bash face in Once you get to the end I was surprised there are two endings depending on option you choose in the last level ending. All in all I would like to see a continuation of this, but I don't think it will happen. Rebellion has made some good games, some okay ones, and ones that are flat out poop. This is a good one if you like zombies and do not mind linear generic shooters.

Call of Juarez: Gunslinger1
Jun 2, 2013
After the complete and utter failure that was the previous installment I was thrilled to see Juarez returned to its rightful place in the late 1800's West. The price caught my eye and for a price that low it told me one of two things, it is either very very short or it is not an official installment. Well, I was right on both. The first thing you are going to notice after the cutscene ends when you start is this God awful horrendous black ugly border that surrounds your screen. Once you've recovered from the shock you're going to notice the graphics look very familiar to Boringlands. Oops I mean Borderlands. Yes, that ugly black cartoon style outline on every character, object and detail. Even the character introduction screens are done the same comic book way. By now you're thinking "Well it must be all down hill from here." Oh no, not true at all. You are rewarded with very bloody headshots and very satisfying showdowns, NOW it's all down hill from here. The gameplay is arcade rail-type. Shoot and move if you will, while you can pick up rifles for those long range kills you realize that areas are so small you can run through the whole game with a single pistol on its hardest setting. Health is another noticeable issue, how do you die? Can you die? It's annoying when you are killed easy and enemies can take five shotgun shells to the face and live, but when it's the complete opposite it's even more annoying. Yes there are upgrades but what's the point? You're already overpowered as it is. There are "secrets" but they are just pages of background on characters and such. Time wise, you're done and over in roughly four to six hours, three or less on average. There is no link at all to the first two installments and defiantly not the third. The name "Call of Juarez" has just been slapped on it to sell more then it should. Only Call of Juarez and Bound in Blood are the real story and it has become clear to me that it had officially ended in Bound in Blood. New to the story you should only pick up the first two titles and avoid everything else like the plague and not to feed Techland. This is my third and last game I will purchase from them. They have failed on every level in all three games I have played developed by them to even impress me in the slightest.

Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon5
May 2, 2013
Before I start I'd like to say that because I did not rate this game higher then an 8, it will almost instantly be dumped in unhelpful reviews, if you are reading this here's the real game. B-Game that crams as many references in audio, dialog and visual as it can from famous 1980's films, such as RoboCop, The Terminator, Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. These are just a few of the many. There is no story, and that's fine, that's what it was made to be, something so stupid and ridiculous you can't help but laugh. However as fun as this may all seem it ends almost as soon as it begins. The first thing you're going to notice is how fast you run and never get tired, add that with how shockingly small the map is there is no need for auto/fast travel. You will never take any fall damage and it is almost impossible to die, even on Hard. While the cyber vision is a cool feature you will never use it making it worthless. It claims to help point out enemies, but every single enemy is drastically highlighted in a neon cloud before you even see the enemy itself, in fact, everything but the grass and trees are covered in neon lights. The A.I. is borderline non-existent, a liner script of walk to point A to point B and shoot the player. The side-missions only add an illusion of a sandbox game. There are only two types, Hostage Rescue and Hunt. The fort capture adds more to that illusion. There's also T.V. sets and V.H.S. tapes to find around the map to complete the illusion of a sand box game. Yet if it wanted to be a sand box, it would be much larger and would not have every single item, animal, base and enemy on your map. There are two types of enemies you're going to run into. Animals, and Androids. The models are the exact same for the androids except for some very minor change to look like a different class. The animals can be said the same for their type. The weapons again are made on references to films, while there are upgrades for half of the weapons, they are worthless and do not help in any manner. The gameplay is the now required linear go to point A, shoot and blow up, rinse, repeat. The story itself (ignoring the side missions, bases, etc.) will be completed in under an hour, and because the weapons are so powerful and no skill at all is required to play any part of this game you may even do it in under 45 minutes. Adding in the other things, you might get about 2 4 hours out of it. All in all, if you want to relive an '80's experience, are a fan of Michael Biehn, or want to laugh at pure stupidity then this is it, but for $15 it's not worth it, maybe for $10 or $5

Don't Starve6
Apr 24, 2013
While very late to the build and survive theme, it still offers some enjoyment. There is no story and no plot (well maybe some in the adventure mode) and all you have to do is survive as long as you can or want. You have three stats. Health, Hunger and Sanity. You start out with some instructions for tools to get you started and then you're on your own to explore a world mixed with forests, deserts swamps and more. The longer you survive the more Experience Points you earn and each level unlocked unlocks a new character with its own unique skill. The price is a tad too much so I'd wait for a sale or a dollar drop. It's sandbox so after all, it's repetitive, but it needs to be. The world customization is very touch. Everything is set as default, the problem is when clicks "more" or "less" the unbalance between them literally makes them one click from "not enough and must start new game" to "too much and no skill required." It's fun for a thirty to sixty minute play, but you can (and will) become bored very quickly so don't play it in huge amounts of time.

As usual, Mr. Big 'n' Motionless goes to the top of charts for one reason, and one reason alone, because of his name. He makes an interesting fictional myth to tell stories to children and even art work., but as a game, he doesn't deliver. While I do like the bigger areas with more exploration and the back story, it is just ruined by the same boring jump scares that have been done since the mid 70's, along with the usual "let's suddenly turn the volume up 600% for reason." Then the, placing things that were not there before thing. The house would be fantastic if set up in another type of game. The time change from day to night is liked but through all the flaws, the stupidity of page locations let alone the need to do it is pointless and holes in the story, it's not worth it.

I'm not impressed, but then again, I didn't expect to be. The first took you down dark corridors with creatures lurking in the darkness waiting to pounce that added a feeling of uneasiness to the player making them want to go slow. The second took us to a fast pace almost run and gun scenario with a stronger story. This one, well, it takes it to the end if you can call it that. You'll beg for something to happen for the first half of the game. It is terribly slow and borderline Call of Duty. The second half is where the action is along with the story, but sadly by the time you get to it (if you get to it) you're spent of all emotion just begging the game to hurry up and get to the point. This is a love it or hate it game.

What a waste of money. I was shocked to see that there was a continuation from the first and I kept asking myself "How could there be?" Well simple, it says it gives some more details at what happens before and after some of the events from the first. That does not matter, what does matter is that it is NOT a game, it is a movie/book. You might as well have no interaction at all, you only get to pick between two choices sometimes. The story makes no sense at all. It starts out as everyone going back again which is never explained to how all these people came back to life and doesn't even explain the ending level. Yet why should it explain anything? If you see the so called "ending" you'll know why. I does not offer anything to the first title and does not explain a single thing about anything. Cash in, pure and simple. Fan of the first, then stay far away from this. . . very far.

It's about time Agent 47 took a new direction. Admit it, after four games of stealth it gets boring fast. Much like Sam Fisher on Splinter Cell: Conviction. Fast paced, action and a good shoot-em-up time. Disgusting that the brain **** Crap of Duty console gamers have a say in this. If people don't like it, the go shoot everyone in Blood Money's painfully short levels.

Infestation: Survivor Stories (The War Z)0
Dec 19, 2012
For starters it is the same group of people which created the ARMAII Mod, Day Z. Secondly, they clearly said on their site that it is pre-beta stage (Compared to Day Z which is in pre-alpha stage.) However there is still no excuse for charging $20 for it, the biggest laugh is it's not compatible with Windows XP, let's make a game, but don't make it for a gaming computer! VALVe has since removed it from being purchased on STEAM since they lied and said it was a finished product, which they later found out it wasn't. Might of been a good sell, but it's multiplier only. Got a full refund though.

To be honest, I did not expect much from this but I actually got more then I expected. For something that was made by only two people it is a mile-stone in achievements as graphics go, as it is a completely new engine. The idea is original and the story is simple. Sadly however, I cannot stress enough at how slow you progress throughout the game because you are only doing one thing, collect plants. As another person said, it IS literary a bush walking simulator. However it does have it's shining points. I applaud the graphics for two people and design. A lot of the scenery is beautiful and it does get you thinking about the islands previous inhabitants. If you do not mind the snail like pace progression and the repetitiveness of it and know that all you really do is just walk and walk and walk through an island, then you should pick it up. A major downfall is the price and the system requirements.

Whenever you see that Activision logo on anything you should know by now to stay away from it. The graphics are unbelievably terrible, the sound effects are some of the worst I've ever heard and the icing on the s**t cake is for the entire game they pick the most overrated Bond there is, yes, Daniel Craig again, who is a good actor has nothing Bond about him. The gameplay is, you guessed it, the exact same copy of every single Activision title there is from the severely overhyped Call of Duty games. The levels are exactly how you'd think they would be. "Look, tactical cover. *seven enemies spawn*" Yes, the whole game. If you have $50 to blow, then you'd be much better off buying the actual 007 trilogy on DVD.

Lucius reminds me and I'm sure of a lot of people of The Omen. The gameplay is simple yet the manor is a big place to explore and the chores for side missions were fun to do for gifts and rewards that help you around. The voice acting is pretty bad and the graphics are fair but despite this, it's the idea of controlling a six year old to kill that gives me, and people that actually understand this game, a very deep guilty pleasure.

I can handle top-down shooters. I can handle terrible eye-straining graphics, I can even handle trial and error gameplay, but one thing I will never understand is when everyone in the game has a life meter but you. For the life of me you will die, no less then 300 times, in ONE-SINGLE-HIT with anything even a door. Yet enemies take two, three, sometimes five hits to die. The screen rotates as you move, it shakes constantly and the controls are completely broken. It would have been a hit in the year it's taking place in (1989) but for 2012, the eye strain, the aggravation and the urge to drive to the developers and beat them within two inches of their lives is not worth it, and $9.99 is defiantly not worth it. Again yet another pile of trash that will go straight to the top of the charts.

Max Payne 38
Jun 13, 2012
Mr. Payne has hit rock bottom. No love, no friends. He has been living his life in hiding for nine years popping painkillers and alcohol, but despite all of this he has aged very well. Resurfacing, and climbing to the top, it truly shines in all directions. With beautiful Direct X 11 added and support for Direct X 9, and Direct X 10 it is amazingly stable for the sheer size of megabytes (Aprox. 30 thousand) it requires. Loading screens are hid as cut-scenes which is more of a downfall then an enjoyment. Breathtaking script, dialog and writing all voiced by the only person who can, James McCaffrey. Unlike the first two you must play by the game's rules and sacrifice your freedom, but for the lack of your freedom, you are rewarded with gory action and a mature dark story. Multiplayer is a new addition and while the game play itself for multiplayer is nothing memorable, it's rewarding in its own way. Selling over three million copies in it's first week alone, it has far surpassed income and player rewards and story then anything that has done in the last five years. It is the platinum of games in an era that has been **** and molested by the Crap of Duty console "gamers."

Alan Wake4
May 9, 2012
When purchasing the over shoulder third-person camera angle, you'd expect to be looking over the character's right shoulder, not the character's left leg. With Alan running at your far right eye's end it draws your focus away from what you need to be paying attention to, such as that pit in front of you that you're not going to see because you are too busy looking at Alan and trying to focus around him and not the screen in front of you. When purchasing a horror game, you'd expect horror and not one and a half second cut-scenes of mashed up garbage with blaring "dark" music, because if companies have learned anything by now, which they haven't, it's that suddenly blaring the player with loud sounds or music does not create scares, just pain in the ears. To say that Alan Wake is linear is a dramatic understatement, to say it's passable is a dramatic overstatement. In the begging, Alan mentions he has lost interest in writing, it has become clear to me that companies have lost interest in their customers.

Work is being done and it is needed. Currently you should think of it's current state as a demo, as there are options to purchase new planes and challenges if desired. I didn't expect much from it but I did get more then what I expected. It is surprisingly addicting to fly around empty skies with level design that is mediocre at best. Until some more planes are released and some more brushing off the dust and ugly textures is done I would say that if you are looking for something to spend no money on and take about thirty to sixty minutes of your time, then this is it. It is at least worthy of the free title downloading if nothing else.
