ShellShock 2: Blood Trails

A budget title and it shows. The visuals, level design, AI, and just about anything else you can think of can't match up with the top-tier first-person shooters. On top of that, you only get 10 brief stages and no multiplayer options.

Aside from the ridiculously terrible story, the 6 year-old graphics, broken AI, and lack of replay value, ShellShock 2: Blood Trails doesn’t sound too bad does it?

Miserable graphics, poor sound and a story which isn’t able to fascinate – this game is a no-go. Maybe the king of no-gos. Don’t play this title, it will definitely be wasted time.

This minor disaster is a huge step down for the developers, Rebellion, after their fun-but-flawed Sniper Elite, and the "people-would-acknowledge-as-better-than-Gears-of-War-had-anyone-actually-played-it" Rogue Trooper.

"World at War's" zombie-flavoured extra is more accomplished than this tosh. [May 2009, p.76]

The game was just so bad, I could just about get halfway through. Unless you are desperate for a few miserable hours to waste then I would steer well clear. As I said before - try Bioshock, F.E.A.R 2 or Left 4 Dead instead.

Even the poorest of titles there shows more promise than what’s on display here.

I wouldn't have paid full price for this but I got it dirt cheap and enjoyed it much more than I expected. It's clearly a low budget affair but as a fan of Apocalypse Now (which it's clearly influenced by) I enjoyed its dark tone. I actually found the voice acting to be fairly decent for a videogame and the graphics and gameplay acceptable. The sound design was actually really nice. if you go in with low expectations and can pick it up cheap I'd say you might get a good day of fun if sometimes frustrating play out of this title.

All I can say is that I bought this game knowing it's considered one of the worst games ever. It was $10 and my friends and I pitched on it for a laugh. We got a little drunk and a little stoned, and this game was HILARIOUS. I can't discredit it as a bad time because its so bad it's fun! There is some boss with a hockey mask and he takes literally hundreds of bullets to kill and its just insanely funny. At one part the enemy AI from another further part of the level all run into the bottom of the mountain you're on top of trying to kill you. It's just hilarious!! In one part a pig gets blown up by a land mine and that caused a good amount of drunken laugher. IN REALITY THIS GAME IS NO MORE THAN A 2.5 OR 3/10 BUT DRUNK WITH FRIENDS THIS GAME IS 3 HRS OF FUN FOR LIKE $10 IN THE AWFUL GAMES BIN.

piece of crap. Do not buy literally made me sick from motion sickness. Not to mention the slippery ass controls. I pity anyone that bought this game at full price. The story's boring and inconsistent. plus its animations are slow and choppy

A crappy game. Not even worth the money. The game is easy even on the hardest difficulty, the story is ridiculous, and the flashlight is practically useless. DO NOT BUY.
