Mafia II If I Could Rearrange The Alphabet I’d Put ‘U’ and ‘I’ Together
This is one of my favorite games of all time. I wished I could wipe my memory and experience this story for the first time again. I can’t tell how many times I’ve replayed this game and I still enjoy every single part of it, aside from the wanted poster collecting. Is that a mirror in your pocket because I can see myself in your pants
The days were good when you’re playing this game on a grey Sunday afternoon in the living room during winter whilst hearing your dad in the kitchen blasting the soundtrack of Mafia II (The steelcover included a CD with all the soundtracks on). I love the pacing of this game, the chemistry between Vito and Joe, how their ambition grew in becoming part of the mafia. Every mission is great and has great moments and dialogue. The transition in the game when you leave prison after 7 years and you can see how everything has changed from the music, cars, the way people dress,… This game paid so much attention to detail and I love it! Driving by the rules because otherwise the police would pull you over, slippery streets during winter, you really feel connected to this world. You scared ****?!
The gameplay is also close to perfection, every gun feels and handles different, the sounds are great and just driving around in your old school car. It’s not that hard but you can’t go in guns blazing so that’s also a plus. I really can’t think of something negative to say about the gameplay. I played this on my Ps3 on a 4K 42 inch monitor so the visuals weren’t that good since my monitor tried to upscale it but after some fiddling with the settings it looked pretty good apart from the draw distances. The frame rate was pretty stable and it only dipped in some moments were a lot was going on. See you next fall… ****.
If I have to say something negative that it is the fact that the story is too short, I wished some moments are a bit more drawn out and I’d also would have like it if there was more to do in the world. And the wanted posters… they’re a pretty cool collectible overall but there are just to many scattered around with no real benefit to them for collecting them all. Aside from the wanted posters, this game still has the best collectible of all time with the playboy magazines. Conclusion
My top 5 game of all time, replayed it a lot since my first playthrough and probably will come back to it again. Next up are the DLC’s and after that I probably will replay the ‘definitive edition’ because I really can’t get enough of this game. I can recommend it to anyone who likes a great story, characters and action! Completion Time: 1417

Mafia: The Definitive Edition Origin Story
First time I got to play Mafia was long ago when you only had the original version and I borrowed it from my local Games/DVD store. I was still a kid back then but my dad loved the godfather movies and that’s how this game got my interest. It also had nice box art and looked like a cool shooting game. When I got home and booted up the game, I ended up just driving around in a taxi and I even started believing they gave me the wrong game so I never touched it again for a long time. Many years later when I was a teen and a little smarter I played the OG Mafia on PC and despite showing it’s age, I ended up really loving the game. So naturally when they announced a remake I was more than thrilled! Great Story, Not So Great Side Characters
They remade this game from the ground up and added quite a lot compared to the original game and it has been too long since I played the OG version so I can’t remember every change they made but I think most of them add a lot of context and character to the story. The story is solid and Hangar 13 sure know how to make a cool main character. Tommy Angelo is one of my all time favorite characters to play with. However the side characters don’t do much for me. Don Salieri is just a fat egoistic ****, Sam doesn’t even come close to how awesome his dad was and Paulie is ok but compared to Joe Barbaro he falls flat as well. Despite the weaker characters I still had a ton of fun with this game and I loved every chapter. This is really my style of game. They forgot the Cannoli
But not everything is sunshine and rainbows, one of my main gripes with this game is how bad It looked and ran… I played this on a PS5 Pro and the game looked awful, the lighting was weird, the character models of NPC’s were hideous and the loading times were not different from the PS4. Maybe this is one of those games that the PS5 does not handle too well but it annoyed me. Also the collectibles were pretty interesting but once again when you have to hop in free ride to get all the rest after the story is just a boring process to go through. Also the gunplay is horrible, your bullets go all over the place, you die in 3 shots but at the same time the enemy can soak up bullets like it’s nothing. Even shooting someone like he’s Sunny from the Godfather doesn’t even stagger the dude and he can still pull of some shots on you which is just BS… Conclusion
Nonetheless even with all these negative things I still loved this game so much. The story, Tommy, the map, the music everything hits and this remains one of the best games I’ve ever played, The OG as well as the remake is almost perfect for me but that’s just my opinion. Mafia 2 remains my number 1 in the franchise though. Completion Time: 1625

Mafia: The Old Country Be Good Again Please
When Mafia 2, being one of my favorite games of all time, was followed up by Mafia 3 I was pretty disappointed. I liked Mafia 3 but compared to Mafia 2 it was just shocking how much they stepped away from it. So even though Mafia: The Old Country looked pretty good, I still did not buy it instantly even for $40. Main reason was the time period it took place in to be honest, I just wanted something like Mafia 2 again but in the end I bought it and eventually played it. Quality Over Quantity
And damn it has been a long time since I had this much fun in a game. Just a great linear story with great characters, amazing vistas and play area. This game does not promise a rich open world with tons of stuff to do and that’s totally fine by me. I prefer quality over quantity anyway. I love how you are thrown into the story and how it builds up, the forced walking and traversing the country side is something I really like because this game is very pretty too look at. And I do not mean this in a ‘graphics’ way because in my opinion they are far from the best but also not the worst but just the detail in the environments and nice scenery. This game reminded me a lot about the throwback scenes from the Godfather II, The blood and wine expansion from The Witcher 3 and Assassins Creed. The story does nothing new but that doesn’t mean it can’t be good. I loved every bit of it! Must Have Been The Wind
The downside of this game were the visual glitches, bugs and collecting. If you are making a story focused game with a linear story I at least expect it to be buttery smooth. I had 1 crash and lots of visual glitches. The gameplay also leans heavy on stealth mechanics which is fine because this is one of my favorite genres but it is way too easy. Enemy placements are always very convenient pointed with their backs towards you and even on the hardest difficulty I only died 1 time due to a glitch whilst chasing somebody and a certain animation did not trigger which caused me to get stuck on a window. The gunplay is also very simple and the guns almost all feel the same way. Nice Vistas And A Lot Of Brrrrrrrr
But even with all these minor faults and nuisances I still had a great time. The characters and story really grabbed me and I even felt genuine emotion from time to time. But the biggest complaint I have is the collecting. Just like any other Mafia game, this game has all sorts of collecting stuff and whilst being interesting to read, going for them in Free roam is just plain boring, after a while you’ve seen most of the scenery and since there are no car radios you just have the roaring of your engine to listen to whilst going for all of them. Good thing is there aren’t a **** load to collect and I had most of them by just playing the story and going for the Foxes. Conclusion
It is not the best mafia game out there, but it is unique it is time period and the little nods to mafia 1 and 2 are also really cool with my favorite being the guardia office which you attack in the beginning of mafia 2. It has his bad parts but it is a clear step up from mafia 3 and something they really should build upon. For $40 I’d recommend this to anyone who wants to play a great linear story. Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Nostaslgic Glasses
You know that feeling when you remember something better then it originally was you were looking at it with ‘nostalgic glasses’? Well the opposite is true with this one. I played it a lot back as a teen but I always remembered it as the worst one in the trilogy. To be honest this game came after Modern Warfare 2 which had the best multiplayer of all time and black ops which had the best single player campaign in my opinion, so it had pretty big shoes to fill. I think that’s the reason I remember it as the worst one even though I still liked it, just the worst of the trilogy. But now I can say that I was wrong. Ending of A Trilogy
I played the hell out of most COD campaigns but this wasn’t one of them and to be honest I really don’t know why because after replaying it now, it just is amazing from start to finish with a lot of truly epic moments. How they link the events from COD 4 and MW2, ending a solid trilogy and all the different areas you get to explore. The story starts and just throws you into the mayhem and from then on it’s just full throttle until you end up in a juggernaut suit and get your well-deserved revenge for Soap. Spec Ops > Zombies
Infinity Ward had Spec Ops and Treyarch has zombies. Zombies is very fun with friends but I find it hard to enjoy on my own. Spec Ops is amazing with a friend but also when just playing solo. These missions were not as difficult as in MW2 but the thing that made them hard is that they are pretty long and since there’s no checkpoint it really blows when you die just at the end. I had to complete the co-op missions alone and the first mission was ok but the last one came down to mere seconds whilst handling 2 controllers at the time but I eventually succeeded. Survival > Zombies
This game also had survival which I also forgot how fun this was. You have to get to wave 15 in every map and damn this was really fun. Every map had it’s charm and even though it took a bit **** to get to Lvl 50 it remained very fun. It did reach lvl 47 before I had to start grinding so that’s probably what made it easier to do. I did play a little bit of the multiplayer as well but this remains the least fun part of the game if you ask me compared to what we got before that. Conclusion
I’m really glad I finally replayed this game, went for the plat and even completed every DLC. This game will be remembered in a different way from now on and even makes me kind of sad that the original trilogy is once again over. But I’ll definitely play it again one day and you should as well! Completion Time: 33 Hours, 24 Seconds & 16 Seconds

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Prime Time Life Experience
So this is a game packed with loads of memories and nostalgia for me. The true classic experience of getting of school, doing the homework and start playing this game until you had to go to sleep. Having the pleasure of playing this game with a close group of around 6-9 friends in the possibly the best part of my life is something I’ll always cherish. Midnight Release
I had been playing COD since the first game that got released on console and played every single one since then. But I only started playing the multiplayer until COD 4 and goddamn did that hook me. I convinced most of my friends to join me in playing the multiplayer together. At the same time I also was an enormous fan of the singleplayer experience and all the trailers that got out before release of this game got me so hyped that I can even remember these trailers up until this day. I also succeeded in convincing my parents to get me to the midnight release which was a first back in the day even though I could only play 1 mission before going to bed because I had school the next day but it was still so worth it Clash Of The Titans
I’ve always wondered which campaign I loved the most, COD 4 or MW 2 and after completing them back to back I still can’t say for sure to be honest. They’re both so good in my opinion and they both shine in their own unique set pieces. This game does go harder with everything and it’s crazy what they eventually accomplished with this game. I loved every mission and yes even the ‘most controversial’ one… (I didn’t turn out to be a terrorist). The veteran experience is hard though, they go easy on the grenade spam but the aim of your enemy is crazy. Yet nothing impossible and it felt more forgiving at times.*Sweating Intensifies*This original version also came with the addition of Spec Ops, something I loved to play with a friend back in the day but still had a lot of fun playing it this time on solo. Even the co-op missions had to be done solo but they were manageable. I can confirm however that I still haven’t recovered from the trauma I got after seeing a juggernaut storming towards you. Too bad the multiplayer is dead… at least I couldn’t find a single game and I’d loved to revisit my favorite game again. Conclusion
Going trough this amazing nostalgia trip again felt really good, even after just completing the remaster. Turning on the PS3 and booting up this game still feels special and I adored it. The remaster is the place to go if you want to re-live the story but this classic comes with the amazing special ops as well which makes it more then worthwhile to give this true classic another shot! Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered9

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered When is the rest coming?
This is were COD peaked for me on every front, campaign, multiplayer and spec ops. So I remember when I’ve read this remaster would come out the next day, I was so hyped! Especially since I adored the previous remaster but all that slightly faded away when I learned they’d cut 2/3 of the main game and only remaster the campaign. No 7-12-25 killstreaks for me this time
I have so many fond memories of the multiplayer section of MW 2 and this was COD at it’s peak for me like I’ve said. Going from 3 attachments to lots more, same with the killstreaks, amazing maps,… So I was so disappointed to learn that they would not remaster this part of the game. Even more because they did the effort for COD 4. It had something to do with ‘not wanting to split the player base’. Still seems better to have your players on any Activision game instead of them running to other games because of what COD is becoming in this day and age. Putting the cherry on the cake
Yet what the remaster did contain is one of the best campaigns in COD history. The set pieces, characters, sounds,… I find almost everything really breathtaking (especially for its time of OG release) and at moments really got goosebumps. They did another and even better job on remastering this compared to COD4 with the addition of small things, expanding some areas and moments. The graphics are very good and the gameplay feels very solid. Move like a marine!
I once again played it on veteran and have to say that it felt more ‘realistic’ compared to previous entry. The enemies still have aimbot but not as bad, the flinch when hit isn’t as bad and the game is more forgiving. Apart from the mission ‘Loose Ends’ where you have to download something with your own local internet, followed by running by tons of enemies on a timer and no cover at all. I got checkpoint locked at some point so I got quite frustrated but that was honestly the only frustration I had this time. You were able now to take your time, plan your advancements and really adapt a tactical gameplay style. Conclusion
The biggest shame of this remaster is once again to not include the other 2 modes but then again it still is a blast to play trough this and I really can’t get enough of this game. I think if they were to remaster the multiplayer part or MW 3 maybe their eyes would open to what their true player base really want and stop trying to imitate Fortnite. Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered What is Infinite Warfare?
This was not my first Call Of Duty, but it is the one that will always be in my memory as one of the greatest and the first one I played online and delivered me countless of amazing moments and friendships. So when I saw they were going to remaster it and even the multiplayer I was more then hyped and like many people, I shared the same thought when we said that Infinite Warfare became nothing more then a footnote. Activision being Activision
This is everything a remaster should be, noticeable upgrade in graphics, some minor addons and the same core feeling as the original. I had a blast going trough this again and even the multiplayer kind of felt like it always did, aside from the added microtransactions and cosmetic changes (Luckily they were not as stupid looking as they do now). I didn’t mind the microtransactions since you could earn the loot boxes by just playing and they only contained cosmetic options and nothing game changing. The thing I really didn’t like though is that they decided to sell the only map pack COD4 had as DLC again instead of just including it in the game… That is such a **** move especially when you consider the fact that they were probably the worst maps of all of them and that they asked the original price of $14.99. Add Ricochet Anti Cheat To The Veteran Mode Please
The campaign is full of iconic mission and there isn’t a single one I dislike, I just wished that the American campaign was a bit longer. But like with many cod’s of this era, the veteran mode is just ****… I like to have it difficult and plan every kill and move I make. I don’t mind dying in 2-3 shots even the enemy dies just as fast. But for me a hard mode should be as ‘realistic’ as possible and this isn’t the fact here. The enemies have aimbot, X-Ray vision and the amount of flinch you take is so annoying. Flashbang almost always seem to blind you and only 1-2 enemies and the others are unaffected even if they stand in same room. The respawning enemies also make it frustrating since the only way to stop this is to advance whilst your friendly AI is completely useless. I think Hardened mode is more enjoyable since you have a bit more margin. Made me hate planes and toilet flushes
The most frustrating part aside from the mission One Shot, One kill was with no doubt the Mile High Club mission… The only good thing about that mission is the little nod they gave to The Naked Gun. On veteran you have only 1 minute to get to the VIP with an MP5 with enormous amount of recoil on it, picking up weapons to replace the reloading animation is useless since most weapons only have a handful of bullets in them even though they never fired a shot. And imaging after all those retries and hearing that stupid toilet flush again and again, I finally made it to the VIP, killing him but my nervous ass wanted to make sure so I double tapped him and kill the VIP in the process so I had to do it all over again… This made me practice the shot on regular a couple of times before re-attempting it on veteran but I finally succeeded. Conclusion
This a fun remaster and it still is so fun to play trough it again and reliving those childhood memories. The addition of the multiplayer is also such a nice feature but the only downside is that the lobbies are pretty dead apart from TDM. However at times the game shows it’s age and I think they could’ve done better in certain parts with the remaster to modernize these things. But still a great game that will forever be one of my favorites! Completion Time: 0743

Astro Bot Can’t Get Enough
There isn’t a better way to follow up Astro’s Playroom with Astro Bot. More of the same but with way more bots, way more gameplay and a bunch of new stuff to discover. I completed this game 3 times by now and I still loved every moment of it, even after several fails in the Vicious Void worlds… They Delivered!
After completing Astro’s Playroom for the first time and really enjoying it, I felt genuine happiness when they announced Astro Bot and it had been a long time since I was hyped for a game. This is a scary thing though since I tend to raise the bar a bit too high and most of the time end up disappointed. But this wasn’t the case with Astro Bot instead they crushed my expectations and went way beyond them! Pschyo Mantis? Is that you?!
I was a blast to discover every bot referencing to another game and exploring every nook and cranny of a world. It amazes me how they were able to create a very decent amount of worlds to discover but still able to make every single one feel unique and refreshing. It is also a very relaxing gaming loop with searching for every bot there is and you always get rewarded for going off path and exploring small pieces of the map. No Need To ‘Git Gud’
The gameplay is once again top notch and makes you only blame yourself and not the controls or the game when you fail a certain section. The only minor thing is that it is pretty easy which makes its way more accessible for younger gamers but I would have preferred some more intense levels in the way of difficulty. Especially when you compare it to the difficulty spike when you do the ‘vicious void’ levels and compare them to the regular ones. Conclusion
The finish this off I must say this is a must buy for every PS5 owner and I’d like to think that this game should really be a console seller. Astro’s Playroom Long Journey Ahead
After having a rough year in my rear view, I decided to buy a PS5 Pro and tackle my ever growing backlog from zero. This gave me a goal and the enjoyment of reliving some of my favorite games again whilst being able to go for the platinum since this is something I love doing. Trophy Hunters
So what better way to start this immense journey by playing the pre-installed game on the PS5, Astro’s Playroom. When I got my first PS5, I never bothered to take a look at this and to be honest, I didn’t even know what it was. It was only when I started to learn that there is something like a community who loves trophy hunting that this ‘demo’ got my interest. Walk In A Museum
So this was not the first time I completed this game but I still loved the experience. It so cool to look for all the old consoles, gadgets and references to certain games. Especially for someone like me who started my gaming days back on the PS1. This game is great introduction to the PS5 and what Sony has already given us. It implements the new features in an perfect way and kind of makes you wonder why not more gaming studios try to implement these things like haptic feedback in a better way. Do You Platform Much?
This is also one of my first platformer games I played since I mostly play action or RPG games. Yet this was a very fun game and made me consider buying more platform games. The game is also something for every age since I had a lot of fun but also my daughters of 7 and 3 years old love to watch me play it. Conclusion
In the end I’d recommend this game to anyone who has a PS5 in their possession, even if it’s your first console or your fifth. No matter where you come from, you will definitely enjoy this game and I can highly recommend It to any age! Completion Time: 0250
